Not that I know of. It's an area of the island I am seriously unfamiliar with, not to mention it's the weekend coming up and I don't have a backup vehicle.

I am going to have to keep topping it up till Tuesday and then take it to the place that just saw it a couple of weeks ago and said everything was fine.

I'm told I will have internet so here's hoping. I'm still not 100% sure where exactly I am going and it is now full dark which is frustrating for finding places.

Thankfully, my coworker's car battery died again, so I got good directions on how to get to her, and with her in my car knowing where we were going, we made it here safely. Thankfully, all my other back and forth trips from here will be in daylight!

 

Oh, and there IS internet!

*sets out coffee, teas, juices, apples, brownies, and toast with marula jelly*

 

Where is everyone this morning? The 'one-dog one-cat' house I am at turns out to have two dogs and one cat along with two foster dogs and two nursing (on their mom) puppies. Still, they seem to be fairly low-maintenance so it should be an okay weekend.

I dug grooves in my hand so as not to slap one particular customer.

i've had some rough customers, but never one i wanted to slap!

This one wants to know the discount on each item individually and EVERY SINGLE TIME  (two to three of our four days a week) I tell her we don't do that, we do the total and then take the discount off that, and EVERY SINGLE TIME  she says "I understand" then picks up the next item and wants to know the discount on that item induvidually. EVERY SINGLE TIME. I have to get someone else to check out the other customers because it takes about 40 minutes to check her put and check her out and check her out because she keeps finding more stuff she wants. And then we have to go through the whole discount conversation AGAIN. If she didn't actually spend so much, she'd be banned.

in other news, i've got my script dragons' names all planned out... i just want to make sure that the eggs (once i influence them) do, in fact, gender properly, and then i'll name them all some names from my nano stories (this year and last)

Yikes Lagie I’m glad I don’t work yet; I’d hate having to socialise with people I don’t know face to face for like the whole day 😬

and i've updated my word count again!

 

when i started writing, i started the beginning of each story.  and as i wrote more of the first two stories, i realised i wanted to finish the first one, and then work on the second one.  after that, i'd go back to the third story.  so right now i'm nearing the end of the second story. yaay!  there is some overlap with the first two stories.... and with the story i wrote last year - that's what the link at the very top of the story is for.
