Prettiest Christmas Lineages?

Ahhh I hope this isn't tagged as a repeat since I know we've had individual holiday breeding plan threads in the past, but this seemed more efficient than scrambling through different threads.

 

Anyway I was having trouble deciding on what lineages to start this year, so I thought we could all have a powwow and share our favorite Christmas lineage ideas! Words acceptable, links are better, pictures are best :3

The grey makes the Yulebuck's colour pop out nicely, they look into the same direction, head and body sizes match rather well.

For the colours, mostly, and because female Waterhorses are so cute!

 

I've also considered Aegis & Ridgewing with colour-alternations (pacified & purple, enraged & tan) but I just cannot decide what my own Aegides are going to be

I think the Aegis (either form) paired with the Caligene is lovely.

I think Enraged Aegis' look quite amazing with Mageias.

 

Otherwise though, I'd agree also Hollys go well with Gold Lunar Heralds and Pacified Aegis' with Swallowtails.

Of those in that list I especially like Lumina, Gold, Gold and Silver Lunar, Hellfire Wyvern, and Green Copper. The Xenowyrm pairings weren't bad but didn't -quite- do it for me. IMO Pacified Aegis looks brilliant with just about anything largely or entirely golden.

I suspect they'd look nice with Azure Glacewing but have no examples to demonstrate it. I also like Azure Glacewing with Mistletoe:

Pacified Aegis x Solstice would look amazing, but alas, also do not have an example of this. Would also be gorgeous with a female Holly, but probably not going to see that anytime soon LOL.

Of those on that list, I especially like Fell, Caligene, GoN,

 

Both Enraged and Pacified look great with Caligene, but I think I prefer Enraged with Caligene because the browns look good together:

Pacified Aegis is also pretty good with GoN, especially with an AoC offspring.

Thirding the Radiant Angel/Holly checker, although they seem to look gorgeous with any of the Holidays.

Holly x Red Nebula checker is still one of the prettiest things around imho

 

I also really like Rosy Solstice x Purple Nebulas and Snow Angels with Green Nebulas

...and I agree with 11th. Rosy Solstice and Green Nebulas needs to be more of a thing too.

(Lineage needs to look more festive? Just add nebulas! heh)

 

Also lunar heralds. Because Silver Lunar x Mistletoe is so good. The Gold Lunar x Solstice pairing is gorgeous too.

I've seen plenty of mistletoe x silver lunar heralds, but my preference actually goes to mistletoe x blue lunar. I'd love to take this beyond 3rd gen.

I am absolutely loving the monarch/holly combo this year. I think they look terrific together. Can't wait to see some of those checkers in a year or two.

 

I'm also curious whether a bronze prize would look good with a winter magi.

 

I've always been a fan of wrapping wings/vines, too. I just love how green and festive they look.

Wrapping Wings and Mints are a favorite of mine. I've seen plenty of people posting unrelated lineages too, so I imagine it's easier to find bloodswaps than the more rare combos.

but otherwise I love the mistletoe x Heartseeker: here the red and green works really well together, same goes for wrapping wings and mistletoes. But I love anything Holiday x holiday related anyway.

I don't really know if it's my prettiest, but THIS is my favorite breeding project that uses Christmas dragons. It uses white snow angels at its base to create a pseudo-checker and was inspired by some of s0r0k4's lineages.

 

My 2nd favorite are my Winter Magi x Summer seasonal checkers. Christmas checkers with springs and summers are really unusual and unique.

My absolutely favourite Christmas pair has to be Rosy Solstice x Ice. This line is sort of my personal line as it contains my two CBs (Blue Rain Dear and Solstice Drift).

Mistletoe x Golden Wyvern. It may not look all that special compared to all these fancy Holly x whatevers, but the names are what makes this little bundle of joy special.

 

I'm also working on a Pacified Aegis x Frostbite set.

I haven't really played around with creating many Christmas lines (mostly because, due to a variety of circumstances, I'm missing cbs of a few years, and it makes it a lot harder to care about doing lines when I can't even start my own). Playing around with blacktip x blue Solstice and ember x rosy Solstice is the closest I've come, but I never moved past 2nd gen, lol.
