Azure Glacewing Breeding Plans

I don't really like these guys with any other all-blue breeds, although female hellfires aren't too bad. There's just not enough contrast to catch my eye, though.

 

Aside from sunsongs, I like diamondwings, kingcrownes, and falconiforms. And kinda thalassa. Sunsong is the nicest, though. Horses aren't too bad.

Beautiful! I agree with Sock with regards to the other blue breeds - they're all out of this, for Glacewings. But all the others? Woah!

Besides the Sunsong, I really like them with Sunrise. Not a big fan of them with other blue breeds, either. They need more contrast since they are pretty monochromatic themselves.

 

I think they might look good with SpeckleThroats. Has anyone done a template with that? If they did I missed it.

I like visual harmony, so I was expecting to like them with other blue breeds, but alas, their shade of blue is too different than anything else we have except original Two-Headed (which they can't mate to, of course). There's a few exceptions, though, IMO, like Glacewing x Blue Lunar Herald, or this one x GoN:

They match beautifully with Nhiostrifes and Blue Lunars, and I like the contrast with Sunsongs and Thalassas. Now I just wonder what they would look like with female Sunrises or male Arias...

Y'know, I passed by my speckle's like a dozen time and debating doing them, but eventually decided not to. They do look good, though!

 

 

(I also added monarchs to my album, but they don't look as nice.)

They look pretty good with male Silver in practice, actually, more than I thought they would. There's both contrast and harmony.

 

For a contrasty pairing, try Glacewing x Almandine. I didn't get an egg, but it looks pretty good.

Thanks for that, Sock! I especially like them with the male Specklethroats. I think that is one I will definitely do.
