Posted October 28, 2016 and wait is the sickness actually making the site lag? When I try to breed it does for me. I haven't tried using Fertility or anything else that allows you to choose from your adult dragons, so I can't say if it's affecting anything else. Share this post Link to post

Posted October 28, 2016 For the glory of the cure, I made some buttons for the thread! I would make some banners, but right now, I can't think of a good background for them right now. Yet I fully respect the other side, simply because we don't know what is happening yet. No dragon has died of the infection, so what if, instead of a real diesease, it's the precursor to something else? A special parasitic Halloween Dragon, maybe, that somehow saps the life force of our dragons before being born? I mean, lethargy is not uncommon in pregnant animals. Pregnant friends of mine have even told me they DID have trouble remembering things during certain phases of their pregnancy, so even the "their sharp intelligence is blunted" would make sense in that respect. Therefore, I understand people choosing the other side. However, I do feel better being a healer. Share this post Link to post

As far as I can see, the infected dragons' images are generated dynamically by overlaying a separate slime image over the original and then saving that as a new, combined image. So when you load a page with infected dragons it has to generate all of the infected versions of their images. I could be wrong, but it seems that way based on how the images load after the others and their paths. This would create lag server-side because it has to use more processing power generating these images so loading the site in general takes longer. Of course, it could also just be because there're a lot of people on the site around this time so the server is running a little slower. Share this post Link to post

So when you load a page with infected dragons it has to generate all of the infected versions of their images. I could be wrong, but it seems that way based on how the images load after the others and their paths. This would create lag server-side because it has to use more processing power generating these images so loading the site in general takes longer. Of course, it could also just be because there're a lot of people on the site around this time so the server is running a little slower. Posted October 29, 2016 (edited) Just going to say this, it's no fun being a sickness spreader if theres way to many cure people just easily pushing us back.
