Welcome to Earth-11709 OOC

Recommended Posts

The number of people that can join this will be limited to only a few. Make sure to reserve a spot fast if you want in! Inactive characters will be left behind.

Plot

The Multiverse is rather like a spiderweb. Dew drops hanging from silk represent the infinite number of worlds spanning outwards, suspended in space with only small threads connecting each universe. Through these minuscule connections, ideas can flow back and forth, inspiring works of fiction based upon glimpses seen of a world similar, but so different than your own.

But if the spider web is rattled all the worlds suffer. Universes in the Multiverse have begun to inexplicably run into one another, resulting in two realities colliding. Sometimes, the resulting universe is able to withstand the force of the collision, but more often than not it can’t and both universes are dislodged from their properly position. The rippling affect shakes all of the universes left, causing even more collisions and even more chaos. As time goes on, more and more worlds are at risk to fall into the abyss.

The rippling affect caused several realities to run into Earth-11709, also known as our reality. While it has managed to withstand the force of these collisions, individuals that were once deemed a part of fiction have suddenly found themselves displaced into this reality. How will they react to their new surroundings? How will the people around them react to fictional characters suddenly coming to life?

Welcome to Earth-11709. It's time to have fun.

Summary

You play as a "fictional" character in this that has been drawn into another Earth due to the collapsing of the multiverse. Joining up with others, you figure out why you have been drawn to another world and how to stop the destruction of the multiverse.

Rules

*You must play as a fictional character, aka, a character from books, movies, plays, etc.

*No godmoding or power playing

*Try to keep this semi-lit (5 sentence minimum per post)

*Respect each other and be nice

*Post characters in this thread (This will be the OOC)

*Rapid-fire posts are fine as long as your characters are alone. Don’t leave behind people in the same group as you.

Character Sheets

Try to be as descriptive as possible in this section. Not everyone may know who your character is and it shows you have an understanding of the character you want to play. OP characters are not permitted, or at least must be incredibly nerfed.

Characters

Name: Ori [and Sein]

Age: Unknown

Species: White Guardian Spirit

Name of Franchise: Ori and the Blind Forest

Gender: Agender [they/them but he/him is also acceptable]

Appearance: Ori is a small creature, somewhere around 3 feet tall. Ever glowing with a faint light, they have tiny hoofed feet, a nimble tail, and two sets of horn-like ears; the larger pair rest beneath the smaller and reflect Ori’s emotional or physical state. Large, dark blue eyes take in the world around them. They are never seen without Sein, a floating sphere of blue light that talks to Ori and acts as their primary method of attack.

History: Lost to the Spirit Tree during a great storm, Ori was found and adopted by Naru. After several years of happy living, Ori was called by the Spirit Tree but, not knowing what was occurring, Ori failed to answer that call. More years passed and the forest of Nibel began to decay until it drove Ori from their home. Shortly after, Ori found Sein, the “light and eyes of the Spirit Tree”. Sein explained the dire situation to Ori and that they were the only one capable of reviving the forest. Together, they set forth to bring Nibel back to life, encountering Kuro - their enemy - along the way. Ori had succeeded in reviving most of the forest, growing significantly in his abilities, when something brought him to a different world.

Powers

  • Water Breath - Ori can breathe underwater as long as it is uncontaminated.
  • Triple Jump
  • Ultra Defense - Reduces damage taken by enemies.
  • Sense - Ori can see through walls
  • Spirit Flame - Sein attacks enemies for Ori using flames.
  • Wall Jump
  • Charge Flame - Ori can charge up a Spirit Flame to cause a limited explosion in a desired location.
  • Bash - Ori can charge through an enemy and cause physical damage.
  • Stomp - Ori is able to leap and drop heavily on any breakable, horizontal surface.
  • Climb
  • Dash
  • Charge Jump - This allows Ori to jump higher from the floor or a wall without using Double or Triple Jump.
Other: We interrupt your game to bring you a completely new storyline. Sein speaks in a strange language that only Ori will be able to understand until they learn the languages of the others.

Name: Codsworth

Age: ≈ 215

Species: Mr. Handy

Name of Franchise: Fallout

Gender: Male (programmed)

Appearance: Full Body / Silly Little Hat

History: Codsworth is a robot butler, part of the Mr. Handy line of domestic service bots specifically situated for family life. He was unwillingly left behind in 2077 when the Great War began-- a nuclear apocalypse launched by the US, China, and the USSR that forever scarred the landscape and the people of 50’s-era, alternate-reality America.

He was reunited with his family 210 years later, when the Sole Survivor awakened from cryo-stasis and arose from Vault 111. He had spent those two centuries alone, trying in vain to keep clean the irradiated and deprecated hovel he called home for his master, who he was not so sure would return. Upon their return, Codsworth admits that, despite his initial feigned ignorance of the War, he had been miserable in his lonesome futility. He gladly rejoins the Sole Survivor on their quest to retrieve their son Shaun, who had been taken in the wake of their spouse’s murder whilst in cryo-stasis.

He’s loyal to a fault and kind, never wavering in his belief in those he trusts. Codsworth finds meaning in mostly trite distractions, such as cleaning and making tea; however, despite his cheerful disposition, he becomes brutal if his loved ones are threatened, and revels in the thrill of a heated battle. He seems to greatly enjoy travel over housework.

Powers: Like all domestic Mr. Handy models, Codsworth has two primary means of attack and one secondary:

  • * A long-distance flamethrower

*A buzzsaw with your name on it!, devastatingly powerful up close

*A custom laser attachment, added for the sake of it

He has a third appendage used for gesturing and grabbing. He also has the ability to purify water and dispense in it bottles whenever he passes a water source, and a high capacity for carrying items. Codsworth is highly resistant to physical damage, but can be harmed relatively easy by energy weapons. He can speak with other robots as well, regardless of language or lack thereof. He has a nuclear generator inside him that propels him above the ground, allowing him to levitate.

Other: Codsworth has a very stereotypical accent and speech pattern of a sitcom butler. He also wears a Triggerman Bowler--he’s a fine English gentleman, after all.

Name: Confined Hoopa

Age: N/A; thousands of years

Species: Hoopa

Name of Franchise: Pokémon

Gender: Genderless. It/it's.

Appearance: Were you surprised?

History: Originally it was always good for the people, helping them with any request. One of them requested a battle, and soon enough Hoopa became eager to show it's power. Eventually he started to battle legendaries and started a great war in the desert city. It was then confined by a priest of Arceus. A century later the evil spirit escaped from it's seal, starting another war. The peaceful, kind Hoopa that was left after confining was the only force that could stop this "shadow Hoopa".

Powers

  • Trick: Hoopa can unnoticedly swap an item he's carrying with an item someone else is carrying
  • Thief: Hoopa can take an item from someone else. It cannot use thief if it's already holding an item. This also deals damage.
  • Psychic: Hoopa can move objects from a distance, without touching them.
  • Hyperspace Hole: This is Hoopa's signature move. It uses it's rings to create a portal between where it is and any place it wants. It does take a few seconds for these rings to move and form a portal, and once created they only last for a couple of minutes until they've shrunk again and move back to Hoopa's body.
  • Levitate: Hoopa floats in the air. There does not seem to be a limit to it's altitude - as long as it doesn't go into space - but it usually floats somewhere around human shoulder height.

Name: The Fox

Age: Unknown

Species: Spirit Fox

Name of Franchise: Seasons After Fall

Gender: Unknown

Appearance: Only Close-up i could find

History: Not much is known about The Fox except it exists. It was a spirit orb that merged with a fox at the request to gather all four seasons from the Guardians of said Seasons to help free someone. When the Ritual of Seasons took place, the orb couldn't seperate from the fox. They did eventually seperate after the ritual, but it was to late. Taking pity on the poor creature, the orb infused itself with the fox's spirit and earning the name The Fox. He talked briefly with the Guardian of Winter before The Fox got whisked away

Powers

  • Seasons: The Fox can change the season to what it wants it to be to progress through.
  • Bark: The Fox can bark and depending what season The Fox is in, it can have a variety of effects. It can attract a fox, light up certain crystals when it's dark as well

    - During Spring, The Fox can raise geysers to get to a higher level. If The Fox is standing on a weird type of mushroom plant, flowers will grow and it'll release all the water It is holding. The season also allows The Fox to grow trees from a little bug/acorn creature that can plant itself into the ground and with a plant that can shoot water, the acorn grows into a tree. It always seems to rain in this season

-Summer can cause droughts with geysers. The Fox can unfurl vines in this season and if it's standing on the mushroom plant and barks, it can absorb water to lower water levels.

-Autumn brings mushrooms. With the mushrooms, there comes the little bug type creatures that can either explode in winter if they absorb water or in Spring can become trees. Autumn causes the geysers to stabilize in a medium fashion. It also brings strong gusts of wind from the ground making limbs and leafs fly into the air and help The Fox.

-Winter brings frozen water, geysers (high, medium, or low depending on what season it was before prior) and snowballs.

Other:

I hope this is almost accurate. It was hard to describe some of the stuff from the game so I tried to be as accurate as I could be

Name: William Carver (The Amazing Maxwell)

Age: unknown, appears to be mid to late fiftes

Species: Human (????? at least, was at one point)

Name of Franchise: Don't Starve

Gender: Male

Appearance: here (not my art)

History: Maxwell, imprisoned by countless demons(simply referred to as them), has spent eternity bound to a throne. By luring in hapless victims, Maxwell had made himself a puppet show of living folk. The stage, a ruthless, endless world.

Powers

-teleportation

-astral projection

-can summon and command an army of shadows

- These shadows can pull, push, tear, etc. just about anything and everything. They're terribly powerful and seem 1) eager to destroy and 2) nearly endless

-mild shape-shifting

-telepathy

-immortality

Other: Maxwell is described as "frail" many times, and is a generally weak person. However, he seems to be mentally very strong and surprisingly pretty sane.

Name: Chell

Age: unknown, early twentiws perhaps?

Species: human

Name of Franchise: Portal

Appearance: Chell

History: Although her origins are unclear, it's believed Chell has been a test subject for the majority (if not all) of her life.

Powers

Chell has no supernatural abilities. She does, however, have a very strong will. Her tenacity score is in the 99th percentile. Only through sheer will and luck has she achieved her goals. Other than this, Chell has two items that have drastically helped her.

- Her portal gun. This item can generate portals on any white surface (concrete has proven to work). As long as one fits, anything can pass through one portal and out the other.

- Longfall boots: These specialized pieces of footwear prevent Chell from taking any sort of impact-related damage. At least, from her feet.

Other: Chell is mute. It's believed to have been some sort of brain damage.

Name: Crimson Robe (Also known as Chacha)

Age: 24

Species: Sorcerer

Name of Franchise: Dead Sorcerer’s City

Gender: Male

Appearance: Reference 1, Reference 2 Reference 3

History: Crimson Robe is the last sorcerer in his world, having survived a massive genocide of his kind when he was younger. Growing up alone, he integrated himself into human society, teaching himself magic while suppressing the memories of his past, keeping only a burning hatred for the individuals who murdered his sister. When he grew older he donned a crimson robe his sister had made for him (which was many sizes too big at the time) and set out to get revenge. He has killed several criminals at this point but it taken just after the start of the story to avoid spoilers for others.

Powers Crimson Robe is a sorcerer and capable of converting an invisible substance known as mana into different physical forms and aspects. He is a largely self-taught novice, meaning that while he has some power behind his skills, he lacks control and experience in fighting against nonhumans and will usually lose in a magical fight. Some of his abilities have been outlined below:

Mana Manipulation Manipulates Mana into various forms, the most common being a plain missile or a lightning bolt, or a shield. The shield can stop mana attacks, although not those more powerful than him. It cannot stop bullets either, and will break if multiple attacks strike it. His manipulation of mana is considered to be average and he will quickly exhaust himself trying to use several spells in rapid succession.

Illusion It is unknown how this works exactly but he can disguise his own appearance to other people, or create false images in other people’s eyes. He is capable of inducing a false sense of pain, though it is unknown the extent of this or how long it can last. For the purpose of this RP, this power will usually only be used as a disguise. Those who are able to see or use magic themselves will see through this image in close proximity.

Teleport Requires delay and intense focus. Knowledge of the area he will be teleporting into is required, otherwise it risks ending up in a wall or in another person, or failing to teleport completely. He can use this ability to teleport small objects to safe locations, or resummon them back.

Magical Field An area approximately three meters around his person in which he can apply several more powerful spells. Stronger magical fields can dissolve his own and he can create smaller magical fields away from his body, although these quickly dissolve. He can manipulate objects around him within this field in a manner similar to telekinesis.

Restriction If someone enters his magical field (About 3 meters around his person), he is able to restrict their body. Only applicable on persons/animals who he understands the composition of. Spell of Restriction does not work on creatures who he doesn’t know the inner workings of.

Retribution Similar to Restriction, however, the individual’s nerves become hyper sensitive, meaning injuries are more painful than usual. Follows the same restrictions as Restriction.

Anti-Gravity If someone enters his magical field or a field he created, he can reverse gravity to send them flying upwards or suddenly downwards.

Black Mana Black Mana is a destructive force that causes materials to rot. It is his strongest ability, although using it requires him to kill other individuals. Being untrained, his primary attack with Black Mana is to form a ball and hurl it at objects, similar to a magic missile though significantly more deadly.Other: When using magic, his eyes will turn red and he will gain two glowing tattoos under his cheeks. When more magic is used, tattoos on his hair will also glow. When not using magic, the ones on his face are not visible while the ones on his hair appear slightly darker than his normal hair color. Yup! Gotcha down. Also, if you know what character(s) specifically you want to reserve, you can also add that so you have dibs on that character.

Let me know if I need to change anything. Ori has an expansive Skill and Ability tree so I left out several that focused solely on saving the game or strengthening certain skills.

Name: Confined Hoopa

Age: N/A; thousands of years

Species: Hoopa

Name of Franchise: Pokémon

Gender: Genderless. It/it's.

Appearance: Were you surprised?

  • Levitate: Hoopa floats in the air. There does not seem to be a limit to it's altitude - as long as it doesn't go into space - but it usually floats somewhere around human shoulder height.
Other: The first three moves in it's powers section are not canon, I looked through the moves Hoopa can learn and picked 3 that really suit it's slightly mischievous but mostly playful personality. In addition to this, I altered all of the moves a bit in an attempt to balance them out a bit, and I swapped it's "magician" ability with levitate, so the moves Trick and Thief make sense, and there is a logical explanation for why he's floating. If anything needs to be changed, please tell me.

Seems i can't bullet point... could anyone explain me how to? sad.gif

@Narvix thanks! And well, I'm used to using him/his but for Hoopa the correct pronouns are it/it's so I tried to do that but messed up sometimes. I think I fixed all of it now.

Sorry for the question bomb, but how action-oriented with this RP be? Will there be a lot of fighting? Puzzles? I'm just wondering, so that I don't have a chara who is basically pointless in battle.

Restating in case it's missed: If a character's development arc hasn't finished, how non-canon (with reseach) can we go?

Question: If we end up bringing in another character down the line, would they be starting similar to the first wave of characters? Would it be easier to just start with the number of characters we want and not add any more later?

I'm debating on a second character but I don't really know if I want them now or later.

It would be easier to add the characters now, although we can work out individual additions later on. It's just much easier to do them all at once.

Alright, thanks. I have a second character in mind. I'll get her sheet up later today when I have proper time on a computer.
