This event was really fun - first being able to share lots of our favorite lineages and then getting to find other people's holiday babies. I'd really like to congratulate Sock on the idea for this rather special event.

 

Maybe we could do similar holiday massbreeding events at the beginning of October, Dezember and end of January, respectively?

I'd definitely like to do this again. My number of breedables is still pretty low but it was still fun. Am kinda sad that a lot of my catches didn't gender right, but I love them nonetheless, and all my babies were caught, even the Ridgewings :3

Glad it colored alright! If anyone else got a different color then the parent from one of my babies and want another one, please let me know. I would not mind breeding replacements if needed.

I just surprised nobody here seems to have caught one since there was so many. I was expecting some ten or so people to start frantically posting once they hit the AP. I'm not even seeing them in the trade threads and thats usually where half of them end up.

...so I figured out what happened. It was going through the eggs I bred to see where they went now that they are all adults and can't be fogged and have some bad news. Some sore sport caught a bunch of them, raised them, and then released them to the wild. Here are some. Sorry guys.

Considering how low-time the AP was, that sore sport probably just added them to hatcheries with single-code input, and they hatched and grew up while still on the AP.

I agree! Last time I bred some pretties for the AP, not all of them were collected and at least 2 of them died. That was so sad.

 

I really enjoyed this event and would definitely do it again. Thank you, Sock, for organising this! And thank you, breeders, for some great lineages I found!

Unless there's a holiday wall, ALL eggs are being collected from the AP. Just some scroll owners may forget about their eggs for too long.

I think I'd rather it was a burnt scroll catch then the alternative. But judging the view bomb issues that 2g prize owners get, there some hateful people out there. Thank you for trying to get the pretties out.

I don't see how that's possible. I didn't announce I was breeding them for the event because I didn't want one or two people stalking for them and getting most of them, so there wasn't really a way to know what the codes were. They could have just been stalking my scroll, but I don't breed on a set schedule making stalking my scroll useless. Plus, if they were stalking my scroll, they would have had all the codes so if they were hatching them from the AP with codes most if not all the eggs should have went to the wild but some people did get them.

 

I'm not mad, I am just a little disappointed that it currently seems someone made a deliberate effort to wreck a 'gift' for people. I'm more sad for the people here who could have caught them and would have enjoyed them. Oh well. *shrugs*

 

Big congrats to the people who did catch them, whether they kept them or gifted them!

If it makes you feel better, I bred the alts first so waiting shouldn't have done anything unless people threw catches back.
