POKEMON SNAP IS BACK!

and the pokemon look amazing! That Ratticate is a bit odd though and the Rotom pokedex really does talk to you! And there's also some new pokemon revealed towards the end.

Here's the English video.

Type: Null freaks me out a bit. o_o but I really love these designs! I'm also not entirely sure how this "12 hours apart" thing is gonna work. I guess this means we lose out on the real-time day and night changes? Or maybe sun is like normal and moon is just inverted? (If it's 8am when you're playing aun, it's 8am in the game, whereas in moon it's 8pm?)

We got some weird names in this batch. I wonder if Type:Null is the 'cat' pokemon predicted in a leak that's type will change depending on the type of it's mother or father.

Also still no starter 2nd stage evos boooo.

What...what did they do to Raticate?

They fused him with Buttsqueeks from Yo-Kai Watch it seems. I have my reasons to dislike Yo-Kai Watch...

And why didn't anybody mention UB-01 yet?? Or the Aether foundation, that has a little bit of a twisted vibe in their "love for all pokémon". Also there's quite a present similarity in looks between UB-01 and Lillie. And how Lusamine looks a lot like Lillie as well. Seriously it looks like Lusamine is Lillie's mom and Gladion's sister, and that UB-01 has at least some sort of connection with Lillie and/or the Aether Foundation. And the Aether Foundation may end up being the real evil team... we've seen the "love for pokémon" façade before with team plasma...

I'm going to be all over the dolphin Pokemon...if they announce one. They've already done a jellyfish Pokemon in Gen 5

UB1 sounds like Z1 and Z2 all over again. I'm guessing we don't get to catch zygarde cells/cores "properly". No pokedex entry for them then?

I think this is what it'll be like.

Just seen the new info. Here's my thoughts;

Type:Null - Um, what. I.....kinda like it. Gives a golem vibe.

Jangmo-o - CUTIE! Wonder if this is our dratini of gen 7?

Alolan Raticate - Um....I...I can take those cheeks seriously, I just want to squishy them.

12 Hour thing - Neat. I guess.

Aether Foundation - Yeah, how about no. Don't trust you losers one little bit, you remind me of Plasma.

Skull's Enforcer - Ow, the edge.

Zygarde's cells and cores - REALLY?! Rather than doing Z like people wanted, you shoehorn it into these games?

Taking Photos - Not sure if hint that Snap sequel/remake is on the way, or if this is Nintendo crushing our dreams....

Ultra Beasts and UB-01 - .....Okay, where's Miror B.?

Something that shouldn't be done to any living creature. blame the Aether foundation

Raticate needs to be condemned.

They made Rattata really adorable but...Raticate looks like he decided to have a butt for a face

But the question is can we catch the ultra beasts???? Because UB01 is beautiful and perfect and I need to pet it in Pokemon Amie please gamefreak please

Its shape and the description of how it moves like a young girl kind of reminds me of Lillie, but I'll refrain from speculating until we have more information.

Alola Raticate is so damn ugly, I really don't like it at ALL. It looks like they tried to fuse a chipmunk and a rat but failed miserably.

Jangmo-o is now my favorite Pokemon in 7th gen, it looks so adorable. I really hope that its evolution will look awesome, it'll definitely be a Pokemon I'll use in my team.

Type: Null looks a bit weird, it looks like a chimera bred with a robot xd.png. I'm interested in seeing how the story of it pans out, it looks pretty interesting.

I'm with a few of you who think the Aether Foundation are going to be the bad guys. From the video posted on serebii, they are giving me a sort of Team Plasma vibe.

So far I'm not overly impressed with Sun and Moon. This might be the first time ever that I'll only buy one version. I normally buy my favorite, then a week or so later buy the second. This time I might just stick with Pokemon Sun.

On one hand Jangmo-o really deserves to evolve into a pseudo legendary, but on the other hand I don't really want another dragon type pseudo. Litterally 5 out of 7 pseudos are partially dragon, of which 2 pure dragon. The other two are tyrannitar (who still kinda looks a bit like a dragon) and metagross... yeah metagross is awesome. But perhaps they could do what they did with gen 3 and have a dragon type pseudo legendary (Jangmo-o being the new Bagon) and another non-dragon pseudo (the new metagross!)

About Type: Null, it seems the Japanese website says something that it was created - I don't rember what for, but it was stated there, according to the person who translated it - so that basically means the robot idea is kinda true. Also, I feel like it was the Aether Foundation who created Type: Null, and they may be involved with Ultra Beasts as well but I'm not sure on that. Team Skull is basically just a blend of modern pirates and Hispanic gangstas, nothing with technology advanced enough to create something like Type: Null or Ultra Beasts, leave alone harnessing the power of a legendary. Then again, it could be a facade. I kinda like the idea of having two evil teams rivaling in the main story line - I know it was like that in ORAS as well, but they didn't really put a focus on that - now, with the president of the Aether Foundation and the enforcer of Team Skull possibly being brother and sister, the odds of a focus on this aspect get a lot higher, I think.

Jangmo-o will definitely go to my team and I'm sure it'll be awesome when it reaches its last evolution. Unless Game Freak decides it's not a good idea

I want to point something out about Type: Null which involves translations. Until now, Spanish versions of the games have kept English Pokemon names, but Type: Null is translated. Supposing they're not going to change this, would that mean that Type: Null or even UB01 are just codenames, as XD001 was for Shadow Lugia?

It's still possible we could get another pseudo-legend, but it's also possible that Jangmo-o won't be a pseudo at all, like druddigon or the Noibat line. We just need to wait and see.

I'm kinda torn with the whole Aether and Skull thing. I think the opposing team thing is kinda meh; not gonna lie, one of the biggest things I loved in R/S/E was the whole dual team thing, but we kinda saw it again in B2/W2 with Plasma and Neo Plasma (and before anyone says "But they were one team that split apart!", an NPC in ORAS says that Archie and Maxie were originally part of one team but split because of different ideals), so do we need another one? Granted, it's not as done as the next bit.

They could do the whole "Road to Hell" thing with Aether, but again, we've seen that in 3 forms, too. Plasma (even though Gjetsis was just another Giovanni, a lot of the members believed the whole "liberation" thing), Aqua/Magma (wanted to extend the land/sea to make things better for humans/pokemon) and even Flare (Lysandre seemed to genuinely want to make the world better, but went too far).

I'd kinda like to see them go that latter route; in trying to stop Skull, they start to go too far with their methods and basically end up as bad as what they're fighting against. I know I've said it's been done, but none of them do it that way; all the rest are villains from the start. I'd like to see them slowly devolve into villains.

Dragon types are strong defensively and have great offensive capabilities (being resisted by only steel and fairy for the most part), so it is logical why so many psuedo legends are dragon types. And also dragons are cool bias.

I was considering getting a Ratata and naming him Senor Stache but that raticate... no.

Type:Null has the dumbest name ever... but he looks like something out of Shadow of the Collosus so I wanna get him!

I also don't get the 12 hour thing... I don't wanna play pokemon where its permanently night.

It doesn't seem to be permanent night rather than just 12 hours ahead (so when it is day time in your part of the world, the game is night, and vice-versa).

We've had a shortage of symbols in names since Mr. Mime. Now it seems they are embracing the punctuation AND spacing, with Tapu Koko and Jangmo-o.
