I've done this a couple of times but it isn't a big factor for me. I quite like silly names, and names with CB or 3EG or whatnot in them don't bother me too much either. I do a version of that myself, just better hidden; my dragons have code names that tell me something about their lineage, but to most people they just look like surnames. Or I hope they do--that's the intention. Sometimes I'm more likely to keep an egg with a "meh" lineage if the parents have funny or strange names.

Absolutely! It's usually because the name contains CB, numbers, all lowercase or uppercase letters, or a user's scroll name. Get some creativity, people. The only exception I make is for Prize dragons.
