Now to just wait for a different kind to drop (though I'm going to miss a lot of hunting time due to having to go to work...hunting on a phone does not work well )

My personal wish is for the dedicated drops lasted longer, before the mixing starts.  Is there a suggestion thread for that already?

There has been in the past, yes. I'm not sure it's still active. Most people ask for a 24 hour uninterrupted drop for new releases, though I'm not sure if that's practical for all new releases. What if the dragon is supposed to be rare? 24 hours of just them would likely mean that they'd be impossible to find for months afterwards.

 

If these change colors available based on Valkemare's moon phases, as seems to be the case, then we're not likely to see anything but the gold ones for awhile, which will make catching the other colors problematic in the weeks to come.

 

Edit: thanks for the doc, Shokomon. I'm sure that will help figure out what color to expect when. Now we just have to figure out how long each phase lasts for each of the two moons.

My only personal complaint ... alpine ... why always alpine.

 

I swear I live in alpine when searching for cb eggs.

I thought what Pinkgothic said at first, but now I think :

 

gold - full moon to waning crescent

blue - waning crescent to new moon

brown - new moon to waxing crescent

silver - waxing crescent to full moon

 

SOOOO, I think we'll have a whole month of Saturday releases!

 

 

If you'd asked me before I nabbed any eggs what I'd assume the correspondence of eggs to moons to be like, I would have said:

 

First, group moon phases like this:

 

Group A:

- first quarter

- waxing gibbous

- full moon

- waning gibbous

 

Group B:

- last/third quarter

- waning crescent

- new moon

- waxing crescent

 

In that case, the colours work like this:

 

- White: Aurax A, Cirion A

- Gold: Aurax A, Cirion B

- Blue: Aurax B, Cirion A

- Dark: Aurax B, Cirion B

 

But that's evidently not what's happening.

They are still dropping consistently in the Alpine, Desert, and Volcano. You just have to wait for the 5-minute drops to get them, because they are getting cleared out real fast

I thought this at first, but now I think :

I've given up on trying to figure out the colors and change times, I'll just trade for them or nab them later when I see them. A dragon with this many alts shouldn't be all that rare. Probably just like Nebulas or Gemshards.
