Tiny Little Questions

Recommended Posts

Hey all, there is a new (to me) type of lineage I have been seeing more of, and I don't know what to call this lineage.

It is an even gen, but it is not a checker, nor a purebred. It appears to be an arrow of some sort? Would you call it an even gen arrow?

https://dragcave.net/lineage/aEJQi

Characteristics seem to be: Paired parents of opposite sexes (example: in this case, the Embers are a male in one pair and a female in the other pair and vice versa with the Desipis) and bred not like a checker but like an arrow, with the second generations both being the same breed, culminating in the third generation "arrow." effect. I haven't considered how this would play out in longer lineages. ETA: At a cursory glance, it looks like it would produce an interesting wave effect: http://www.allureofnds.net/NDER/Lineage.php?dcode=aEJQi&gen=6&mate=aEJQi&style[bg]=y&style[border]=n

Thanks in advance. :)

This is something I've not had happen before.  On the 6th, just after midnight I did this Successfully revived (0dsiE).   It was a pygmy hatche that died and I was trying for a zombie.  But when it revived, it had over 2 days left before it would die again.  It currently has 10 hrs left.  Is this normal for revived hatchies?

Laid on:Jan 26, 2019

Hatched on:Jan 28, 2019

Yup, hatchlings that die due to running out of time are given 2 days (in my experience) to grow up if successfully revived.

And, indeed, the "revive" option is not available if it dies again, since you've already used the action. I have a group of "survivors" to remind me not to kill them again.

Edit: Whoops, didn't notice there was a page 612. Hope there's something new in there.

I would call this an even-gen. where the breeds are mirrored. (Fold it in half vertically.) I've seen "arrow" used more often for double stairs, but it works, too, since the embers "point" left.

I would just call it an even gen.  You could also add the caveat that it has spriter's alts in the base.

This is an arrow. It does not have to be all the same breeds like this is, just the shape.  https://dragcave.net/lineage/NdJDC

Don't agree. Imzadi's is an arrow. Missy's is IMHO a mirror EG - a little like this one: https://dragcave.net/lineage/1PPim but without the hybrid complication.

I call @missy_'s example (https://dragcave.net/lineage/aEJQi) a "V" lineage (or you could say "<", but "less than lineage" sounds weird :P).

Generally I wouldn't call any even gen an arrow, but I guess it can be seen as a (short) arrow, just like a 2nd gen can be seen as a very short stair or spiral.  :)

Anyway, I like them.  :D

How about even-gen arrow? (As opposed to arrows that aren't even-gen, like that Neglected linked above)

This question might have been a case for here, though:

No drop at last five minute mark, not on Valentine's or any other Biome i assuem that this is not normal. Sure next hour should give us eggs again but what about people having limited time?

Is anyone else having issues with their groups? Some of mine, like my Water Walker group, won't load at all. When I try to add dragons, it tries to load all the ones on my scroll instead of having the searchable box. Everything else works fine, cache cleared, no adblock.

No problem here. Just added 28 dragons to a group of 711 through the group-add page so it has 739 members now.

Using Firefox.

Yes, it does. Is it your largest group?

Tried restarting our browser?

It's my largest group. Browser has been restarted, it's Firefox. I've cleared the cache. It just comes up blank white.

Does it do the same if you set the dragons-per-page option in your Account Settings to a smaller number?

(If that works, it would at least be a workaround.)

Same problem here on Chrome, @Confused Cat pointed out that if you use a filter besides "all" thy show up, so you can at least breed.

My grandson just had a look in Pale Moon - his largest group is 652, and they all show up...

I'm on Chrome (sorry Fuzz ;) ) and I see your group fine @Starbit-Plushie and have no problem with my largest group, which has 1400+ dragons in it.
