Posted July 31, 2015 Do Nocturnes breed Blue stripes during the daytime? I've never actually tried it. I don't think Spirit Wards would breed Black Stripes, though. They're more purple. Share this post Link to post
Posted July 31, 2015 (edited) Do Nocturnes breed Blue stripes during the daytime? I've never actually tried it. I don't think Spirit Wards would breed Black Stripes, though. They're more purple. I'd go check my scroll, but I think the strain of all the glowy dragons growing up has caused a cave brownout, er make that a whiteout. (confirming that nocturne x stripe = blue stripe, which is now floating through the AP backlog, lol) Edited July 31, 2015 by Tawanda001 Share this post Link to post
Posted July 31, 2015 These look spectacular with Shadow Walkers. Exactly as I'd hoped. Share this post Link to post
Posted July 31, 2015 I'd go check my scroll, but I think the strain of all the glowy dragons growing up has caused a cave brownout, er make that a whiteout. It happened while I was busy making Spirit Ward mockups too. Oh well, I did need the break to prevent my wrist from hurting. Share this post Link to post
Posted July 31, 2015 Seriously wish they could breed with pumpkins. Now THAT would be gorgeous. Ah well!! Share this post Link to post
Posted July 31, 2015 Everyone's talking about breeding them with cool dragons, and I'm over here trying to get a bronze trophy T_T Oh well, I've got to start somewhere. Share this post Link to post
Posted July 31, 2015 So everyone is sitting here talking about which dragon would pair best with these, and I'm over here going all 'I want a PB 13th gen'. Then comes the question of where I'm going to get over 4k CB pairs from! Then comes the 'well ill do gen 5 that's 16 cb pairs or 32 CBs total...I can do that!' Still wish I had the patience for a 13th gen...that is my fave number and this is my new fave dragon. (I'm at around 13 spirit eggs/hatchies...only 19 more to go hopefully!) Posted July 31, 2015 I plan to breed them with gemshards! Though the greens might look a bit weird... Here's the green one. Personally I like Green and Blue the best, while the Red doesn't really appeal much to me. Share this post Link to post
Posted July 31, 2015 Missed the release like last month. Great. Hopefully they aren't as stupidly rare as Xenowyrms. Share this post Link to post
Posted July 31, 2015 Missed the release like last month. Great. Hopefully they aren't as stupidly rare as Xenowyrms. No, they're not. Just keep an eye out for eggs that say: "This egg glows from within" in the alpine and the forest and you'll find them easily during five minute drops. Share this post Link to post
Posted July 31, 2015 Yay! Two of mine have grown up have and have already produced an egg. I really like how the color of the adults changes during the night, even if I am in a different timezone (Europe) and it does not match my night. Thanks to the spriters! Share this post Link to post
Posted July 31, 2015 My oldest baby girl is gonna grow up in two hours, I'm already excited! Share this post Link to post

Vampyre, I have 16, 8 pairs are enough to get to a fifth gen PB, so when you're ready, let me know! I'll be trying the PB first, although I know I'll need more for all the conbinations i want to work on! My first group become adults in four hours! Thank you again to TJ, Fiona BlueFire and Verridith for presenting us with these truly amazing dragons! <3 Share this post Link to post

For all the people who don't know about the glow or can't stay up to see the glow. fiona blufire: We thought you guys might enjoy some of the lore behind these guys. Have you ever been outside alone at night? It can be kind of spooky, especially if it's really dark out. If you should spot one of these guys you'd immediately feel safer. That's because the glow isn't just light. It's light mana based. They dispel dark mana in the area, warding off some of the threats of the nighttime. Spirit wards are nocturnal. They will roam the countryside at night, not just hunting for food but watching out for weary travelers who were caught out by the nighttime and are hurrying to get to a safe refuge. They don't usually act directly but will remain nearby, dispelling dangers with their glow. The intensity of their magic is under their control, and they'll ramp up the glow for greater threats or let it fade if there's not much out there to worry about. They're a good sized dragon and can look pretty tough, so most normal predators don't want to tangle with them. Because of their magic creatures who might be disposed to have nasty tempers will either avoid them or be soothed into a less aggressive attitude anyway, so not much threatens spirit ward dragons.
