What do you think breeding depends on?

You and me both.

All I'm gonna say is, I'm glad the Xeno eggs are all pretty. It makes up for them being so complicated.

edit

If the biomes have a mana affiliation, I'd think Volcano = Destruction, and that doesn't help with the case of the Mysterious Mageia.

Yeah, I checked after I asked, and was disappointed.

I'd suggest begging Birdz for help the next time she comes on, but I suspect she'd just laugh at us. It must be hilarious watching us scramble around like this tongue.gif

I'm currently egglocked, but two of my eggs will hatch soon and I have an adult female Gaia and an adult female Chronos. what do y'all think should I breed them to in order to test theories? I'm a bit confused about all the elemental/biome stuff, but give me suggestions and I'll be happy to test them and post the results here. smile.gif

Try Blusangs, if you have 2 of them. They are found ONLY in Coast, have an affinity for Water, and are uncommon enough that you'll almost certainly get a Xeno egg.

Cheers!

For the elements game though, they were connected not just by change/creation/destruction but also in a second dimension - would the gold's offspring make sense if we allow for that?

I remember (or at least I think I do) life, death and time were a group (green-edged).

Earth and water were still in the same group, even in the mana game :/

MAKES SENSE AS WELL. But God, I don't know if we are anyhow close to figuring it all out. blink.gif

I'll try my Blusangs too, once my Pyro grows...but I was going to try my Gaia with one of the Black Marrows I have, unless I think of a better idea. Life x Death should be interesting.

I tried some Xenos with each other. Only egg I got so far was from Chrono (female - time mana = change) and Gaia (male - life mana = creation) and it got me a Gaia egg.

Added that one.

I agree, we need lot more results.

I'll breed the ones of mine that grew up already smile.gif

......

Okay, I breed my both Chronos to Whites from the Coast to compare.

We don't have anywhere NEAR enough data, yet. Hence why breeding to one set breed for a little would be good.... Get more data with that breed!

Its possible that you can produce all breeds from all pairings.... But having only 1 or 2 examples is just not enough. And Golds, the telling one, are in all biomes, so if it has something to do with where the dragons are found.....

Cheers!

That Mageia egg from Thalassa x Gold (or any other weird eggs) must just be anomalies. I would toss them from the data pile.

Seriously, they'll just throw you guys for a loop and I'd rather you guys not be confused for months on end because of a few freaky eggs, lol.

Anyway, my Chrono refused my RA, but I did get an eggu from a Gaia:

Xenowyrm type: Gaia

Gender: Male

-

Mate: Desipis

Biome: Volcano

Elemental affinity: Magi/Dark

-

Result: Gaia

From the wiki the triads were:

-life/death/time

-earth/lightning/air

-water/fire/ice

-light/dark/magi

So Rubin's right the gold can't be explained.

It certainly looks like there's at least some kind of bias towards that Xeno parent's sub-breed.

Birdz said we should leave that one out of the data. It was an anomaly .-.

The problem is it's all so new, how do we *know* what's an anomaly and what isn't? Other than that egg, I mean, since Birdz said it was strange.

Okay, so there are freak eggs out there.... Leaves us with the question as to how to distinguish between the rebels and the ones that follow the rules? blink.gif

Edit: ninja'd again ^^

I would just use the most recently bred eggs (i.e: those from ~30min ago on forward) for your data, just to be safe.

No - good luck, as you've got a really special dragon! wink.gif

Yeah lol, don't let that one go! It was bred before a bug was fixed, apparently xd.png

OK, so I conducted an experiment:

Xenowyrm type: Thalassa

Gender: Male

Mate: Thalassa Xenowyrm male

Biome: Coast

Elemental affinity: Water

Result: Thalassa

I thought maybe two xenowyrms would have an unexpected breeding result, but yeah, this is what I got. smile.gif
