Flower Princes

Recommended Posts

Jeet is gone and Clarke is crying. Can actual cinnamon roll Kanvar make Clarke happy? Let's find out. This is Flower Princes (as I don't have a better name at the moment) where Lady and I just sorta mess around and cry a lot. I'll be posting the sheets and various important information on this page so we don't forget. Sound good? Let's hop to it.

Important Information

  • Both bros formed a contract with a deity in order to have a wish granted; however, once the contract was formed, they became Champions and now have to fight for the deity.
  • When a contract is formed, a Champion gets a soul stone that transforms into their weapon when they are fighting. The soul stone, as evidenced by the name, contains their soul.
  • Warlocks are Champions that have not eaten a soul stone for an extended period of time. They are monsters that attack anyone in sight and reside in Labyrinths. It is a Champion's job to kill warlocks.
  • Killing warlocks is mandatory but killing warlocks speeds up the process of becoming a witch yourself (which is probably slowly happening no matter if you're killing warlocks or not).
  • The only way to stop the process of becoming a warlock is to kill other Champions and take their soul stone.
  • To terminate a contract, you have to undo the wish that was granted.
  • The power you get is determined by the wish that was granted. Your power reflects what the wish fixed.
  • There are multiple deities pitting their Champions against each other.
  • If a bond between two Champions of the same deity is strong, the process in which they turn into a witch takes a longer amount of time and they become more powerful.
  • Jett was Clarke's partner prior to the beginning of the story. They worked together for two years or so and were in a romantic relationship. The relationship was unhealthy as Clarke was completely dependent on Jett
  • Eight months prior to the story, Clarke was forced to attack his partner, Jett, after he became a warlock.
  • After Jett became a warlock, Clarke stopped fighting altogether and resigned to cry about Jett. He survived by eating from a box of soul gems Clarke had left for him.
  • By eating soul stones, your own soul stone becomes bigger. Big soul stones make a user's weapon and powers stronger and more efficient. By consuming a large soul stone, the time limit before you have to eat more stones is increased. The size of a soul stone can be used to determine just how experienced and powerful a Champion is.
Plans
  • Rival team who are complete jerks. Persian transbro with glorious hair and genderfluid Indian bro are the planned rivals.
  • Clarke tries to break Kanvar's contract so he doesn't have to die.
  • Rival team tell Kanvar where the soul stones come from.
  • The bros go to each other's houses.
  • Kanvar tries to get people to date Clarke.

Name: Kanvar Amsel

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Appearance: Kanvar has short blond hair, reaching down to the nape of his neck, that is left in a disheveled state at all times. His almond shaped eyes are an electric blue with a pale center that grows richer in hue as the color reaches the edges of the iris. He has an oval head with a small nose, full lips, and thin eyebrows that gracefully arc over his eyes. His skin is tan with various bruises and band-aids scattered across his body. He has an athletic build and stands at around 5'6". It's obvious he cares little about his appearance as he usually wears whatever he finds in the closet. His attire is very casual, consisting mainly of T-shirts, jeans, tennis shoes, and jackets if need be.

Personality: Practically being optimism incarnate, Kanvar is an overly jovial being who always sees the bright side of a situation. He is completely and utterly cordial to everyone he meets and remains as such even if he if he shown nothing but disdain. People often take advantage over how amiable Kanvar is and manipulate him into doing whatever it is they desire. As he is highly gullible and naive, Kanvar is quick to trust and will gladly blindly follow someone's lead all up until the point when he realizes he has been tricked. Luckily for his manipulators, Kanvar sees the good side of everyone and is always willing to give someone a second chance. Kanvar is a curious individual who isn't afraid to inquire about topics that most would deem inappropriate to question. Although he is stubborn and will not easily give on an unanswered question, Kanvar is quick to change the subject if he thinks he has hurt someone's feelings. He cares about other people's well-being immensely and will go to great lengths to make them comfortable. Subjects such as sarcasm fly right over Kanvar's head which often surprises people when they realize he was genuinely being kind to them as opposed to being bitterly sarcastic. Kanvar is easy to impress and will become excited at the most minor of things. He has a tendency to dramatize simple situations, blowing them out of proportion completely. He is familiar with humor and will often employ it, badly more often than not, in order to make someone laugh or to diffuse a heated situation.

Biography: Based upon Kanvar's personality alone, it would be hard to believe that he grew in a poor family full of problems from all sorts. Kanvar was born the youngest of five, being only five minutes younger than his twin brother, Armin. The twins' father had left long before they were born and, despite the fact that they asked numerous times about him, they were never informed as to who he was. Luckily for their mother, she wasn't alone. Kanvar's eldest brother, Asher, along with their sister, Marian, found the time to help raise the young twins. Everyone but the twins and Garret, the third youngest sibling, had to work part-time jobs sometime during the week to have time to both watch the younger children and have enough money to live. The twins faced teasing for living in a poverty stricken home that used food stamps; however, while Armin became riled by such insults, Kanvar simply shook them off and stayed his cheerful self. He became somewhat of a beacon of hope for his family. No matter how horrible a problem was or just how terrible everyone felt, Kanvar always kept a smile on his face and they could trust him to always have something positive to say. It wasn't until a fire broke out in a neighboring home did Kanvar's smile begin to crack. Armin was playing at a friend's house when a fire broke out. He managed to survive but only barely. With Armin in critical condition and the sullen fact that there was no way the family could pay for him to recover, the family was in complete distress. It wasn't until after an encounter with a strange raven did Kanvar suddenly find a way to keep his smile from slipping. When asked what he wished for, Kanvar eagerly proclaimed he wished his brother could make a full recovery. In less than a day Armin was completely healed and Kanvar had signed a contract that would change his life forever.

Power: Kanvar can wield intense flames that consume whatever lays in its path. He can shoot these flames from his hands or project them around his shield. Once the fire is released, Kanvar has absolutely no control over it. These flames do not seem to burn him, allowing him to walk straight into them if he so desires.

Outfit: Reminiscent of his knightly demeanor, Kanvar gains a suit of armor. It is ambiguous in design with only a few layers as opposed to several. His body is completely covered with chain metal that is exposed only from the front of his waist down to his beginning of his legs. He has everything from gauntlets to knee-pads and greaves. Save for some elegant curls on his pauldron, his armor is completely smooth with little to no indents covering it's surface. The entire suit is a glistening silver. The suit has no helmet, allowing Kanvar's head to remain exposed while the rest of his body is covered.

Weapon: When transformed, Kanvar obtains a large, circular, semi-translucent shield that reaches a little up his elbow when strapped to his wrist. The shield has blunt bulges on its edgers that stick out like a sore thumb. Kanvar, along with using the shield as its supposed to be used, can throw the shield and allow it to fly around and hit a target before flying back to Kanvar like a boomerang. The shield itself is the same silver as Kanvar's arm with golden swirls embroiled into it

Other: Kanvar adores fruit with fresh strawberries being his favorite.

Name: Clarke Carlyle

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Appearance: Clarke has uncombed, messy black hair that reaches just to his neck, and a single streak of blue towards the front. His eyes are grey, and he stands at about 5'9" with a lithe body and dark skin. Normally, Clarke dresses in sharp, pristine clothing, and he has a leaf-shaped birthmark near the back of his neck.

Personality: Clarke's emotions can change quite easily, on account of his almost unpredictable moods. On one hand, he can be welcoming and loving, eager to please. During normal, day-to-day life, Clarke is hardworking and responsible. However, when confronted with anything having to do with their situation as Champions for deities, Clarke will become withdrawn, silent, and unbecoming, bordering on rude. He does not accept friends easily when working, and prefers to go about things alone. Hardly does he trust anyone, and he is sarcastic and bitter regarding their current situation. He will often pass off other's ideals as foolish and nothing but dreams, and believes only in the cold, hard truth. In some ways, he has almost given up regarding his life, but there is still a last, desperate spark within Clarke that somehow, things will become better eventually.

Biography: Born to a relatively peaceful family, Clarke was raised in the suburbs. He lived with his mother, and father, and it was a calm life. When he was eight, a single event changed his life--his parents told him that he was going to have a baby sister! Excited, Clarke began to dream up all the things he would do with his younger sibling. The age gap didn't worry him in the slightest--he still planned to take very good care of her!

His sister arrived two months before she was due, and complications during her birth had resulted in her being bedridden, unable to go outside for long periods. It hurt Clarke greatly to see someone he loved in such pain, unable to play and walk as he does so everyday, and the boy always tried to do the best for his little sister. His sister's condition also affected his family--since she required constant care, his mother was forced to quit her job and attend to his sister instead, placing a lot more stress on his father to work more hours. After the arrival of his sister, the man was rarely seen at home apart from sleeping--he even ate all his meals at his workplace. Steadily growing distant from his family, Clarke's mother grew unhappy with her confined lifestyle and urged Clarke to do well in his studies and all his lessons, becoming the model student. At times when he could stay home, he offered to cover for his mother so the woman could go outside and find her own fun every once in a while. This became the norm for their family after a while, and at 15 a desperate Clarke wanted badly to break out of the system. Upon meeting a strange raven that told him he would grant one wish of Clarke's, no matter what it would be, the black-haired boy wished for his sister to be happy and health so that his family could return to what they were like before.

Power: He's Zuko, lightning and stuff.

Outfit: Clarke's outfit keeps with his blue and black theme--Clarke has black dress pants and a black dress shirt, lazily put on with the sleeves rolled up. He wears a dark blue coat that he never buttons together, giving the appearance of a bounty hunter more than anything.

Weapon: Clarke uses a long spear that he can both throw and use for frontal combat.

Other: He dislikes tragedies, and is not fond of Shakespeare.

i'm crying so hard yes omg let's just make this so angsty

hmm well tbh i haven't done much magical/fantasy angst so that could be really cool!!

i love the idea of gay magical princes omg im crying

hmm i kinda like the idea of someone being forced to kill someone else

or like an rp where the characters dont know each other's full stories so they kinda emotionally hurt each a lot for reasons they can't reveal??

or

mADOKA PRINCES

yes. all of these are good. very good.

Hmm, they probably shouldn't know each other at the start and I'm liking the whole, "they're hurting each other but they can't explain reason because plot." One of them could have been forced to killed someone else prior to the beginning of the story which could be one of the reasons why they're being a jerk to the other bro.

I'm chill with using Madoka for an explanation if you don't wanna come up with a different reason as to why they have glitter magic.

zoom zoom : ^ )

yess i like that a lot too like dang can you imagine the angst

oh ppsst friend i should tell you this now: im all for having huge long paragraph posts but gomen between school and work replies will maybe a little slower than others ; v ; i'll try to reply as fast as i can tho !! <33

oh dang i like that a lot om g

maybe we could use the concept of madoka as a kind of guide?? like they're magical and they're doomed to become witches or smth due to ____ and maybe the only way to kinda avoid that is to kill other magical gay boys or

omg let's just bounce ideas around hella : ^ ) definitely the 'they can't tell each other' idea tho i love that <33

Link to post

Oh don't you worry about doing long posts. I'm chill with this being slow if need be.

Hmm, we could take the witches from Madoka if we have to. Perhaps they were born with their powers or some different animal companion gave the powers to them.

Ooh! What if they have to kill witches (or something like witches) in order to save people but whenever they kill a witch, they start to turn and the only way to stop themselves from turning was to take the soul gem equivalent of whatever object the other magic guys have. So getting rid of other magic boys not only stops witches from appearing, but it allows the main peeps to not die when killing witches or something like that?

I like the idea of them teaming up not because they like each other but because they have the same goal and sticking together gives them a greater chance of not dying maybe??? Who knows. Thoughts?

eyy okay thank you friend <33 sounds good!! <33

omg i like that idea; definitely! let's do witches it sounds cool as heck

i really like the idea of granting a wish--but maybe we could take that to the extremes? like the person is dying or smth or did that actually happen in madoka i only remember one scene where it was kinda like the person is dying but i haven't watched/read madoka in a couple years : ' D

omg i'm crying some different animal companion yes

or a deity that just wants to watch flower princes burn??

or maybe the animal/deity in question could kinda trick our characters into doing the thing? like "oh ur little brother is dying???? i can save him sign here don't read the terms and conditions"

DANG OH MY GOSH i like that so much omf omf

and maybe the stronger their bond is with the owner of the soul gem in question, the more time they have to continue as a magical boy??

omg yes that works <333 idk do you want to do multiple pairs or?? O: idk i really like the idea of them not caring/being too afraid to care > slowly growing closer > lmao sorry life sucks

Oh man, animal deity. I'm down with that 100% yes. You have my vote. A++

Ooh, we can have the wish granting be a big part of their backstory. Just make it like, "my little brother was in a fire, almost got eaten by wolves that entered the fire, and doesn't know the true meaning of Christmas so I gave up my life so he could live I can't tell strangers that." That sort of biz along with normal life sucks problems can make them not want work together.

Okay, okay, okay. What if there are multiple animal deities pitting these magical boys against each other and our two princes just so happened to work for the same deity so they have to work together. So they just have to suck it up.

oh man, oh man, yes. I like the bone idea. The stronger their bond, the longer they have to endure being a magical boy. So like. Would the contract just kinda poof after a while or is it just. You're gonna die someday and you'll turn into a monster and eat your friend in the process biz. 'cause drama yes.

Okay what if we have these two face similar backstory sadness but they react differently to it so their personalities are wildly different. One guy could perhaps be the rebellious "I'm gonna set a trashcan on fire cause I'm edgy yo" and the other is just posh and will scream if you get dirt on his million dollar suit or something like that.

YESS animal deity omg <333

IM CRYING SO HARD yes sounds good sounds good <33 i like it!

o dang omg i like that a lot : ^ ) they had their wishes granted by the same deity so they're sworn to said deity??? omg yoo

omg maybe one boy could be like a newcomer and the other could be already there for a while and maybe had to kill his previous partner and so it kinda creates like this whole no experience/too much experience thing??

omg im crying so much yes it sounds glorious <3 maybe there is a way to terminate the bond, but it requires a lot of sacrifice? if we were playing multiple or maybe just one character could be really determined to find a way to separate this bond but the way to do it is like kill ur family or all ur friends or destroy ur deity or something?? otherwise its just "sorry kid ur gonna die like this"

IM CYRING SO HARD u kno who those two remind me of

yes indeed i like that a lot!! : ^ ) definitely it creates really nice personality clash and imagine the development both positively and negatively <33

Good, this is good.

Ooh, yes, I like the idea of one already knowing what's up and the other one having no idea what's going on. So what if the old partner for the guy who's experienced tried to stop being a magic peep and ended up turning into a witch so the current guy had to kill him. That could make him more resentful and less willing to work with the new come.

Someone wanting to break the contract is a wonderful idea. I can honestly see either boy try to terminate it. The experienced bro could do it so he doesn't have to go through the same pain again and the new bro can do it because he doesn't want to be a magic boy anymore. What if the way to break the contract as to undo your wish? So if you wished for your brother to not die, to cancel the contract you'd have to kill your brother.

I'm really liking this. I'm really feeling it. This good, this good.

im feeling this so much oh my god

yass good good ; ^ )

omg yess that works!! i like that a lot <33 now to decide--who do you want? OO: i'm kinda leaning towards being the happy idiot but it's all up to you--i could do either! i kinda imagine the older to be more internal intense angst and the new to be more out with his emotions and just really panicked once he realises the the truth of his wish

OH DANG that sounds so nice om g i like that!

same omg gosh with both of them it would hurt so much idk how to decide this omg

NICE oh my gosh i love that so much esp if one of them has really close family ties or something along that line gahhh i love this so much i can't wait to get started

which character do you want??? OO: and hmm maybe after characters we can decide a little of setting and plot and then get the ball rolling hella

I don't mind whichever character I get. You go ahead and pick whichever character you want. I'm flexible enough to work either way.

Hmm, we should figure out who the deity/animal is. I'm thinking about doing some sort of bird. Maybe like a crane or a raven or something? Any ideas?

omg ahh i'm not good at deciding things either help

if it's okay, could i try playing the more experienced flower prince?? OO: i haven't really played bitter characters before so i think it'd be cool! hella <33

shrikes are my favourite birds omg

omg i like the idea of either a raven or a crow--dark animals make dark stories heueheu

but a crane would just be ironic--with cranes carrying babies and delivering life and all that : ' D

omg but a dove tho

i really like the idea of either a dovemama or raven just screwing things up : ' D your choice!

Yes, go for more experienced flower prince! I need some practice with happy-go-lucky peeps. I haven't had too much practice with them unfortunately.

Hmm, I'm thinking raven since they're pretty smart and I just like ravens in general. Are we giving our guys special powers depending on their wish? Are we still doing the outfit and the weapons as well?

omg thank you friend <33 sounds good sounds good; this should be fun!

ohh i like the raven idea <33 ravens are cool as heck yes

omg dang yes maybe!! OO: powers reflecting their wish or being the opposite of their wish would be pretty cool

omg yesyes while destroying flower boys emotionally and physically they need to look great : ^ )

The powers being the opposite of their wish would be pretty cool. Instead of getting a power to reflect the positive of the wish, they get a power to show what caused the problem in the first place. Yes, that is cool yes.

Oh no, goodbye, Clarke. There he goes into the abyss to save the cinnamon roll.

Well, besides figuring out how we're going to start this, we should probably make a name for the raven and figure out what the raven currently wants them to do. For what we have so far, I'm going to make a quick list here and then add everything to the OP once we start. Any additional information that we come up with later can also go up there. Sound good?

Important junk

  • Both bros formed a contract with a deity in order to have a wish granted; however, once the contract was formed, they became Champions and now have to fight for the deity.
  • Killing witches is mandatory but killing witches (we should probably call them warlocks or something instead since we're all boys here) speeds up the process of becoming a witch yourself (which is probably slowly happening no matter if you're killing witches or not).
  • The only way to stop the process of becoming a witch is to kill other Champions and take their soul gem equivalent (We never figured out what the soul gem is supposed to be)
  • To terminate a contract, you have to undo the wish that was granted.
  • The power you get is determined by the wish that was granted. Your power reflects what the wish fixed.
  • There are multiple deities pitting their Champions against each other.
  • If a bond between two Champions of the same deity is strong, the process in which they turn into a witch takes a longer amount of time.
  • At some point in the past, Clarke was forced to attack his partner, Jett, after he became a witch.

Oh man, I have so many ideas. What if Clarke didn't kill Jett and let him live as a witch? I can imagine the deity either not knowing about this or knowing and simply not caring. That could make Clarke a bit more unstable and lead to some heavy drama later if, or when, they have to face witch Jett later on. There's also the drama of literally killing other people so you can live which is not going to be okay for Kanvar. I'd imagine he'd have an easier time living with it if he was given the soul gems and not told where they came from (more drama when he finds out).

We should also figure out where the deities came from and what their goal is. I would imagine they're pitting the Champions against each other for a reason. Ooh, we could also probably give our bros some rivals to deal with. I'd imagine the deities only have two active Champions at a time? Probably more if one accidentally became a witch. Any thoughts, Dara? I'm getting so pumped for this. happy.gif
