Posted April 18, 2016 @Cielmiur & Areous: Personally, I love the day (blue) version more when it's on its own. In lineages, both look great. I have Avatar checkers for each version (also with some refusals in there, but nothing I couldn't swap.) Oh , don't get me wrong! I love the blue/day version, as well. Was trying to collect a few more last year but I suppose I miscalculated the time after I picked em up from the AP. Oh well, Solstices are some of my favorites so it doesn't bother me too much. Tried to do a mini "mass breed" from my scroll - not too many dragons, heh. But tried quite a few new pairs, mostly CB x CB, and I was quite sad by the number of refusals Even a few EG Spriter's Alt pairs didn't want anything to do with each other. Didn't keep track of #s though... Haven't encountered my "irreplaceable" pair yet.... There's a few dragons I'm waiting for mates for though, so definitely nervous :/ Share this post Link to post

So....yeah. Oh dear, that's terrible! No other female GoN or summon is left available to you? Maybe you can contact the owner of the 2G Tinsel to trade you another 3G. If not, the best thing you could do would be to try to find a 3G upward stair Silver Tinsel x M. GoN to make an arrow, or else try to sub in the stair with female purple Ridgewing maybe. Either way, it will unfortunately not be worth much in trade but I'm sure you could make many people happy with gift offspring. I only have two GoNs. One of each gender has been sufficient for my needs so far. I'm leaving my third summon in reserve for exactly the kind of case you have encountered, where I need a GoN to mate with an irreplaceable partner who has refused. I could release my frozen one and summon a second female, but as soon as I do that, I'll have an important refusal with a male. I decided not to play that game with the GoNs a long time ago. I did fertilize this pair before I tried them, too. Honestly, the refusal felt inevitable. I'm getting good at predicting them. Refusals come off more like punishment than a game element. The good part is, it was a gift from departures, not a trade I struggled for. Only, the gifter asked that I gift back to departures, which I was keen to do. I think you're right, a purple dragon is about the best way to go. I don't trade too heavily on my prize lines, but I'm disappointed not to be able to give a perfect stair back to departures. *sigh* Thanks for the advice and sympathy! <3 Share this post Link to post

On my spreadsheet, I had these two as a confirmed pair. I'm pretty picky about not listing a pair together until I've bred them and gotten any result but a refusal. If they only breed at the holiday because of refusal, I note that. I had thought that these two were a proven pair, but they just refused. Maybe I forgot to test them together, or maybe the first breeding with no egg was so long ago, the pair forgot? All I know is that this pair only has holiday offspring, and now probably only ever will. After two years, I'm not going to break them up and find a replacement, especially as I have another pair that definitely produces harvests. But still. Weird. Share this post Link to post

Posted June 29, 2016 (edited) Had a couple of refusals this month but didn't pay enough attention to write the pairs down and my memory is not a reliable source. All of them were 2nd gen Dark Greens breed together and nope i will not accept this mate. But this gal refused two lads and for my project i need many, many 2nd gen Dark Greens from other scrolls and all of them have to be unrelated...
