If there wasn't an egg limit how many would you have? What breeds would they be?

 

I would have about a hundred. They'd all be for my breeding projects and I'd have mostly reds since I'm doing a solo Even Gen, 10th Gen, Red Project.

Reds... So. Many. Reds. Enough to ensure that I would never run out of incubates. Then I'd switch to pinks and do the same thing with them to ensure I would never again run out of influences.

I'd be happy with a 15-20 egg range. It's make it easier to to catch more eggs and make sure all my breeding projects were ready.

 

Are we also talking about unlimited limits total including hatchies? I'd probably up it to about 30-40 then.

 

I agree with Millie's idea. At least ten of mine would be Reds at all times, unless it's the holidays. Ou~ that'd be fun.

20-30. I had 5 or so rares for trading fodder that I abandoned for space. Breeding projects take up 3-5 slots, so those would be filled. I'd have maybe 15 from the Brute breeding day, and I've been wanting to stock up on Pinks and Purples, so maybe 6 eggs total for BSA prep. Give or take maybe 5 for any hunting on a whim.

 

I don't actually want that many egg slots though.

42. I have more than enough reds to incubate and pinks to influence that many (if not more). More egg slots would help me get to 20,000 a lot faster.

If there was no egg limit I would collect EVERY CB Moonstone ever for the rest of the site's existence. Want to know why? I have a personal breeding project of Purebred Moonstones, and I introduce CBs to keep the lineage going.

Frostbites! Loads of them. I'd create the biggest Frostbite army on DC. I would also breed pretty checkers and try to stock up on pretty and rare things to trade for my first ever 2nd gen prize. BSA dragons would also be something I'd get more of. You can never have enough incubators. I guess I'd never want more than 30-35 (approx) as it would be so hard to manage, although on Halloween I'd go crazy and collect as many Graves as I could. Also, think of how many pretty things you could breed for the departures thread!

Hmm, how many? Probably about ten or twelve. Basically, double what I have now. I'd raise a certain amount every week to maximize my scroll size as soon as possible, and raise a White Dragon army. My goals are actually pretty tame, until it comes to holidays. I'd beastmode the holidays. I'd collect every single second gen I could and raise my tri-colored SA Army to unimaginable size!!! Mwahahahah

No limit? Wow, uh, yeah...I'd probably have 20 or 30 eggs hatching at a time. It would allow me to collect what I want, build all the pretty or intricate lineages I've planned and breed lots of gifts for people without stressing about what I've missed because of limits.

Yup, without limits, I'd exercise probably just enough restraint to have around 20 eggs and 60 hatchies, and I'd spend half my time here Fogging every night and unFogging when I got up... the other half would be spent waiting for my scroll to load.

 

But I'd still be a lot further along on the lineages.

 

Edit: I'd settle for 10 egg slots, though.

 

(Or even that that 8th Time Based Egg Slot.)

I used to play a game where you could buy egg slots... I bought 100. I had no problem keeping up with all of them, tho I usually didn't fill all of them up. But I was comfortable with that many and DID fill them all up on many occasions.

 

Not sure what eggs I would pick up tho. Maybe I'd start collecting Stripes again and expand the 10 gen even gen project I just finished into a 20 gen even gen, lol. Maybe I'd just collect lots and lots of my favorites like Horses, Greens, Reds, Pinks, Stripes, Blacks, Vines. Or maybe I'd breed lots and lots of hybrids.. I really have no idea, but I do know I'd be having fun, fun, fun.

If we are all really and truly honest, if there were no egg limits, then there would be nothing in the biomes or the AP, because there would be no reason to skip over the commons, the slightly messy ones, the "sorta nice but not really my thing" ones, etc.

I don't think this would be true. I hunt a LOT in the AP, and toss many eggs back just because they don't belong on my scroll, usually something about the lineage, but many times, I do find lineage duplicates of something I already have. I also breed BSAs or other nice pairs for the AP when I think about it, and events like the Brute mass breed can also be a lot of fun.

 

No, the Cave might empty at times, but I really doubt the AP will be emptied.

But more precisely, I would "only" have everything I need for all of my lineage projects, plus many more CBs with interesting codes (oh all the half-perfect codes I skipped because egg limit...), and everything I find on the AP that either has a pretty lineage or makes a cute frozen hatchie.

 

Except that I wouldn't find any of those things anymore because everybody else would also have unlimited egg slots.

 

And I would probably stop picking up / breeding eggs at some point because I'd still have to add everything to my spreadsheets, name and sort and lineage-plan everything... DC is hard work.

I'd just clear out the AP. Messies, inbreds, Canopies, Brutes, the lot. Then I'd grab a couple CBs from the cave for good measure.

I would spend 8 to 10 for bred eggs for Lovely Common breeding projects (always so many breeding fails ...)

Then about the same amount for CB for the Lovely Common breeding projects ...

3 or 4 for Holiday checker progress ... (I keep forgetting those due to lack of eggslots)

3 or 4 for shiny checker projects (way more breeding fails than with commons, of course)

6 to 8 would go to stair projects

... and the rest to my inbred checkers and spirals

 

That's about all I could keep track of. Naturally, I wouldn't drop the occasional rare I might breed or find! That's what unlimitedness would be for!

 

 

During holiday breeding seasons: I would keep all the combos I like and not be afraid of lack of room anymore!

8 new Condensation Eggs (4 each gender)

8 new Plated Eggs (4 each gender)

20 new Encrusted eggs (10 each gender to try to get multiple of all colors)

20 caught and bred eggs for gifting

20 cb eggs

= the year my nephew was born (who just mailed me the invite to his wedding!)

 

Realistically I think 20 would be all anyone could juggle and stay sane and I honestly would be thrilled if they added a platinum (1000-1200) and crystal (2000-3000) level trophy to our current cap.
