I would like some help please.

 

What if the hatchie is given in the Departures thread, or glomp-style gifted

to another person. Do they count as point? Must the hatchie only be dropped

in the AP to be counted as point?

I meant to ask if I release the hatchie

would it count if released into a Departures or Gifting thread or directly

to somebody new trying to build a scroll trophy.

Thanks for letting me know hatchies need to go only to AP to be counted.

grammydragon, yes, the eggs must be found in the AP, and released to the AP once they hatch to count for a point. One of the main objectives of TEP is to turn the AP eggs into cute little hatchlings! wub.gif

Anything gifted to you should probably stay on your scroll or be traded to someone else, depending on the gifter's preferences. Most of the time, though, the gifter's don't want their gift released into the AP.

Anything in blue will remain in several updates to make sure everyone has seen it.

 

All new members that are joining must have a password in their form. The password is different for everyone. Existing members/members who have already joined need not use this password.

 

Keep in mind that you can vote for a breed to be added or removed from a list at any time. A breed needs 5 votes to get added/removed.

 

Balloons have been removed from the eligible breeds list. Any hatchlings of that breed released after the last update (29th of January) will not count.

 

Moonstones and Sunstones have been added to the list. Any hatchlings of that breed must be released after the last update (29th of January) in order to count.

 

The next time someone wants to donate a prize, make sure you post it in the thread first to avoid double-gifting.

 

A new form has been added -- "I am on the hunt for an evil reward!" This form is optional and may be used by any member of the thread who is searching for the egg another member has requested as their prize.

I want to recruit some minions!

  • Pygmy
  • Pyralsprite dragons. Could we put all three on the list, since it's difficult to tell the breeds apart from the eggs, and impossible from the description?
  • Cassare
  • Hellfire Wyvern
Being new, I'm not exactly familiar with things... So the hatchling AP is the 'gift' page? Can anyone take from it, or is that the purpose of the 'I'm on the hunt for an evil reward!' form?

 

Also, on the list of released hatchlings, it might be a good idea to put a picture of the sprite as the link, or at least the name of the breed. That way, if someone really want, say, Pyralsprites, they can scan the list and select any that say 'Pyralsprite' rather than clicking every link to find Pyralsprites.

 

I'm a Pyralsprite hoarder (They're beautiful!) so if Pyralsprites are added and they disappear constantly, blame me. xd.png

The purpose of The Evil Project is to grab eggs from the AP (those listed as approved) on the first page of this thread, hatch them and then release them back into the AP. These are not gifted, traded or anything else. These are just abandoned to the AP to be picked up by someone- anyone who wants them. smile.gif

 

Each hatchling released and documented gets you a point. When those points accrue, you can trade them in for a prize. Once you submit your requested gift on the thread someone can use the "looking for an evil gift" post to let the whole group know that they are working on your request. Where the gift comes from depends on what you have asked for. It can be bred for you, traded to get it for you, picked up off the AP or caveborn.

 

There is currently no notice to anyone as to when hatchlings get released or enabling you to claim them other than just randomly picking them up from the AP like anyone else. The list of released hatchlings is just documented proof of people's points and activity. Because of this I don't think adding sprites to the list of released hatchlings serves any purpose. It may just make updates take longer for primary mods. laugh.gif

I'm still unsure of this: Where is the hatchling AP? The DC AP doesn't accept hatchlings, which is the reason for this thread's existence, so where do the AP hatchlings go? And more importantly, where can I pick one up? xd.png

 

Also, the sprites being added would take longer, but simply adding the breed name of the dragon would make finding a nice breed of dragon far easier for everyone, and it wouldn't take all that much extra time for the mods. Anyway, just a suggestion. smile.gif

The hatchling AP is the same as the regular AP, except hatchlings are much more appealing and don't stay there for long. wink.gif You have to be there at the right time to grab one.

 

Since all hatchlings are worth the same points to TEP, what would putting the breed next to the record accomplish? Are you looking to see what breed seems to be released the most?

The abandoned page does accept hatchlings. You can't abandon a hatchling if it has a name (I think), but hatchlings can be abandoned.

 

So basically the steps are:

1) pick up AP egg that matches the list of eligible breeds

2) hatch it

3) abandon the hatchie (the same way you'd abandon an egg)

4) post here that you abandoned the hatchie

 

repeat until you have enough points to request a gift you'd like.

 

Hatchies don't stay in the visible part of the AP long enough that you can usually see any - people pick them up very fast. Sit there and refresh over and over for a few hours is the best technique to get one :3
