You don't have to, no, but you may. I think mostly that's because catching caveblockers to keep is still helping to keep the Cave clear, though it's not precisely what the Project aims to do (which is to trick unsuspecting AP lurkers into adopting hatchlings they otherwise wouldn't).

Hi! This is not an update. This is an announcement to everyone to clear a few things up.

First up, the post with the news will now have a FAQ with some questions we have been getting a lot and a few that may answer future questions. Make sure you check out that post!

Second, on the list of breeds to be voted on/off the list of eligible breeds, any breed with one vote will be listed in a small clump. This is to prevent a long list of breeds and to prevent trollers who will add any breed to the list. I have also seen that breeds that have been recently removed, are being suggested again! If it continues to happen, we will have to put a "cooldown" on a breed, not allowing it to be removed or re-added for a period of time.

Next, I would like to remind everyone that when suggesting a new breed, keep in mind it must be found in the AP often. Yes, they may be common in the caves and/or common around the threads. However we need to make sure that they are found in the AP as well. Due to the growing list of breeds to be added, we will go through the eligible list and the suggestions and rule out any choices we deem unfit.

And lastly, remember that adding your hatchlings in a code box is very helpful for us to update, but is not compulsory. People who do choose to do so are just helpful, you are in no way forced to do it.

I will make an update tomorrow (its getting late here and I'm afraid I might fall asleep in the middle of the update).
