Posted November 22, 2014 (edited) All dragons look good in checkers They're my favorite type of lineage. Personally I tend to prefer checkers with some kind of color similarity between the two breeds, like the shades of blue in this spitfire x hellfire. Posted November 23, 2014 Personally I am obsessed with checker lineages...I'm also very OCD (probably why I love checkers...) so I decided to make an entire visual chart of my checker projects. ...ignore the fact that all the names are the same. It was driving me nuts that every lineage had different sized boxes because of names, so I spent an hour photoshopping this. I feel better though, so...it was worth it? Share this post Link to post

Posted November 23, 2014 I have lots of checker projects going on, but only under certain conditions do I make a 3-breed checker. That condition is if it's a shimmer. For example: 4g EG Bronze Shimmer "Dorkface Checker" 3g EG Bronze Shimmer "Blusang x Tanridgewing CHecker" (I always trade its offspring and I never get to keep an egg due to me trading it ) For 2-breeds I'm interested in: Silver Females x Sunrise Males Blusang Males x Falconiform Females Green Nebulaes x Terraes Radiant Angel x Whites Blusang Females x Canopy Males Nhiostrife Males x Waterhorse Females Some other checkers I've been interested in making were: Desipis Males x Stone Females/Desipis Female x Grave Male, Fever Male x Imperial Fleshcrowne Females. o3o Share this post Link to post

Posted November 23, 2014 I'm a huge fan of Checkered lineages and love to build them, despite their potential for causing a whole lot of frustration I, too, don't think that some dragons are better than others, I tend to try and build lineages with sprites I like. That and I'm with the fraction that prefers bolder color combinations. I'm also one of those people that get a lot of inspiration from AP catches. Posted November 23, 2014 http://dragcave.net/lineage/mo5Ll This is one of my favorite! Although I'm too lazy to work on higher generations.. But I'm mostly interested in checkers with holidays. Maybe it's because I usually play during the holiday seasons.. Some examples are.. Alt Sweetling & BP Rosebud & Purple Holly & Gold!!!!!! Looking at this really feels like Christmas, but it's so hard to continue.. I also think that for newly released dragons, undines, almandines would be really pretty, and for holidays I actively collect various 2Gs from sweetlings, rosebuds, marrows, and (later) solstices. They're easier to make and continue, and I personally think they're usually prettier than those made from rares. Still, I don't turn down a rare checker when I find one. ^^ I'm currently working on a Nhiostrife x female Swallowtail checker based on a find from the AP, but here are some of the others I've picked up.
