Posted November 9, 2014 So I looked for a thread similar and couldn't find one. >> Hope I didn't miss it. I have been on hiatus for almost a year, only trying to log on for holiday events. I am back now that my life has slowed down some and I was amazed at all the new normal releases i've missed! That got me thinking about the new holiday breeds I have and what to pair them with. There are so many choices that my head is spinning! Lol. What I need is some awesome ideas! SO that got me thinking. Why not ask my lovely fellow forum goers! The question is simple. Posted November 9, 2014 (edited) Christmas--- Holly: Guardian, Green Copper. Yulebuck: ...I honestly don't like these with anything. Balloon is okay I guess? Snow Angel: Anything bright and green! Neos and Canopies are nice, and Green Nebs, and and. Green. Ribbon Dancer: Electric, Green Nebula. Winter Magi: Guardian, Summer, Golden Wyvern Wrapping-Wing: Neotropical... and that's kinda it. Solstice: Almandine, GoN/Avatar of Change, Black Tea, Silver Tinsel. Valentine's--- Val 09: Literally all four Seasonals. Sweetling: Silver, Almandine. Rosebud: Teimarr, Almandine, Daydream. Heartseeker: Solstice, anything that looks good with Reds or Hollies, but nothing else I have visuals for. Arsani: Electric, Nhiostrife. Radiant Angel: Summer, Trihorn, Pyrope, Blue Nebula. Halloween--- Pumpkin: Dark Myst, both genders, game over all you other pygmies go home. Marrow: Autumn, both ways. Shadow Walker: Teimarr, Green Copper, Tsunami, Rosebud, Spessartine, really most things look good with SWs. Cavern Lurker: I guess if you squint really hard they might look okay with Almandines. Posted November 9, 2014 Hmmm... Christmas: Holly--I like these with solid-color, simple sprites. I have a checker with black dragons that I really love, and those Holly x White combos are lovely too. Yulebuck--these look good with new pinks and with springs, in my opinion--this one's harder to see because it's not a 2nd gen, but you can kinda get the idea. They look really good with anything green, I think. Snow Angel--gold tones are the ones I like best, like this one from a Pillow Ribbon dancer--not really a huge fan of these so I haven't got a favorite pair. Winter Magi--you see a lot of these with GWs, but I also really like them with Luminas Wrapping-wing--again, not a fan so I don't have a favorite Solstice--I love these and think they look good with everything, haha Valentine's: Val 09--a lot of people like these with green or blue toned dragons, but I prefer them with reds Sweetling--of the common pairings I've seen I really like these with Moonstones, so sweet and delicate Rosebud--I have one from GW that I like, but they also look good with Nebulae Heartseeker--something pale, like this one from albino, and Seeker x Shadow Walker might be my favorite pair in the whole game Arsani--not so sure about these, but I do rather like them with Balloons Radiant Angel--another one I adore with everything Halloween: Pumpkin--I pretty much like these with anything other than original pygmies. That's a pretty combo but I've seen it so many times. They look really good with Dark Myst and with Crimson Flare Marrows--these make an awesome contrast with most Valentine dragons, and a few Christmas ones, like Snow Angel, but one of the less common pairs I like is Marrow x Flamingo Shadow Walker--looks good with everything, but especially really brightly colored mates. I also love them with Swallowtails and Albinos Cavern Lurker--another one I'm not too fond of, so I don't really have a favorite pair. I did rather like this one from GoN, though Grave--these look great with tons of things. BBW, Falconiform, and surprisingly Wrapping-wing Tons of my favorites are holiday x holiday, but I know some people really don't like those. Share this post Link to post
Posted November 9, 2014 Graves: Embers, Hellfires, Seragammas, Magmas, Olives Unfortunately I seem to takes lots of breaks around holidays so I don't have CB dragons of many to do lineages with! Posted November 9, 2014 Of my pairs the only ones I paired exclusively are Black Marrows and Horse Dragons. My lone ribbon dancer is paired with an Electric. Most of my Shadow Walkers are paired with Thunder Dragons. Most of the Valentines are paired with Red Dragons. Half of them I don't know if they would breed with said pair outside of their holiday. I feel like Marrows and Shadow Walkers are the most versatile - they seem to look good with almost everything. My biggest DragCave regret will always be that my scroll didn't error so it's not coded for Alt Sweetlings; I love Alt Sweetlings with everything, too, but will never be able to have one.
