I was a bit curious to see what kind of names would pop into my mind for these, and after the first one was inspired by a code, others came along nearly at once! Did you name your new dragons? Posted November 3, 2014 Nice! The look of these dragons reminds me somewhat of shoggoths. I think that they would fit into the Lovecraft's mythos really well. Oh yeah, and I thought so because in their description: "You have trouble focusing when it gets angry." Reminds me of Cthulhu"s mind powers. "Synonymous with the paths of desolation they leave in their wakes." What Lovecraft monster should I pick? lol "These gargantuan beasts are infamous for their innate ability to control and manipulate the minds of others, which they use to pulverize the sanities of their foes and forge false memories." Something that would be said in a Cthulhu mythos! "This power is especially effective on the foolish, and only the strongest-willed individuals have been known to resist a Desipis’s cunning." Oh gaw, in Lovecraft stories he always tell the reader how foolish we are, and that will be our undoing, and those few who are strongest minded are strong enough to write what they saw or has happen.....before going mad. My first thought after reading their description was: "Hey, if they could live in Middle-earth, they surely would be Morgoth's favourite servants". Posted November 3, 2014 (edited) I may name mine after The Inheritance Cycle's evil dragons, or of Final Fantasy characters that are related to mana stealing. With the Inheritance Cycle, it's going to be hard since the names were never given in the books. The spell was never undone and the names written. Which is sad because so many potential names lost to be used by fans! I already have a few Final Fantasy names in mind. Here is one: Chaos Lord Bhunivelze Hoping it genders male. Two of my babies are now named Rhilvik Aglarond and Nenkarak Aglarond. They're loosely based on the codes, plus the surname I use for all my CB dragons. I haven't names the others yet but I feel that they deserve harsh-sounding names so that's what I'm aiming for. Share this post Link to post

Posted November 3, 2014 Um, because of the spelling of their breed name and something someone wrote in a PM to me, I'm thinking of using county's or city's names for mine. Like... well, the name makes me think of Mississippi. So my dragons are likely to end up named something like: Pittsboro Dississippi Ethel Dississippi Wiggins Dississippi Like that. Weird, I know.
