Inactive Members:

If you do not post for 21 days straight and do not contact the admins and explain why you are unable to post, you will be put on the inactive list. People who are put on the inactive list have all of the characters go in the gray. All other characters can completely ignore them and cut off any interactions they had with the inactive characters. The story will go on and the inactive characters will be completely ignored. If you are inactive for such a length of time that it appears as though you are no longer on the forums/not interest in CR anymore, your character may be deleted. If you wish to be taken off or put on the inactive list, PM an admin.

Season:

Since it is the beginning of the season, it should be a little nippy out and the leaves should start to be changing color. The trees should not be bare and some still have green leaves, but some colored leaves can be falling gently from their tree's branches; the weather is not overly cold save for a few nights.

How many people are in the RP? Is it going to be a bit smaller one, unlike TPE, where we had like a million people?

There's currently eight characters and eight writers which is A LOT less than what we had before. I've estimated that we have a little over one-hundred characters in TPE. I highly doubt we'll reach that level at any point. (SpiritWolfe was quite lenient and we're being a little stricter this time around.) So, for the moment, we have healthy amount of characters for a start, however, some people haven't sent their forms, but have reserved spots so we don't exactly have everyone with us at the moment.

 

We currently have six characters and we'll most likely have seven by the end of the week. Expect more to pop up at any moment.

TPE had tons of characters that made two posts, and even more that were mostly inactive, though. Towards the end, there were only a few active characters.

 

I'm just wondering, have I sent in Kalana? I don't remember if I submitted her or not, and though I assume "pending" means it's waiting for the second approval, I'm just a bit nervous since I don't think I saved her.

Just as a reminder since theres a lot of info on the first page, the dragons don't have memory of the present lives or special abilities until they undergo their respective trials (to which we aren't accepting right now) but a majority of them still remember their names and basic things such as walking and talking.

Avialae, just in case you haven't heard, I'm afraid to say you aren't going to be allowed to post for a bit. There is some complications with the breed you've chosen. Radiant Angel has already been reserved by someone else, but I completely forgot to add it to the list. The admins will be discussing your sheet and asking the person who reserved Radiant Angel if they can give up their reserve. Don't worry, you've done nothing wrong. Just a little problem that might of occurred thanks to my forgetfulness.

I don't know if the person who reserved the Radiant Angel breed has thought of a character yet, but maybe they can have a female of the breed? I know the breed is listed on the cave as male-only, but the first post of the RP also said you could have one member of each gender of dragon in the roleplay, and it kinda seems unlikely that so may breeds would be limited to one gender in a real life situation.

 

Anyway, I don't know much about the situation, so if this doesn't work for whatever reason, ignore me.

That's not exactly what the rule was meant for. It doesn't apply to single gender breeds.

 

Besides, the person who reserved the Radiant Angel only did so because it was a male only breed. We'll keep you updated on the situation and I do apologize that this has occurred. If you'd like, you could change the breed of your character, but I completely understand if you're unwilling to do that. If so, then I'll make sure to keep you updated.

I took a look at your sheet, Avialae, and I'm pretty impressed. You could easily turn your character into a White dragon C: the looks are similar and it can still heal. If you don't want to, that's fine, but I think you'd be a great member of this RP.

All right, I understand. I'll consider changing my character's breed, but since that would mean changing his sheet significantly, the fact that I think his breed suits his personality well (and yes, I did come up with his personality before choosing his breed) and the fact that I don't know the status of the person who reserved the Radiant Angel breed, I'll wait to see how the situation develops before doing so. Though that is still an option if it comes to it, obviously. And I totally understand if it does.

Just a question that I thought up as I wrote my character sheet, Cassares have the field of nulling magic, would this be with my dragon when she wakes up or will she have to discover it?

Breed: Shadow Walker

Appearance: Like most Shadow Walkers, he is ethereal gray and has a kind of misty aura. However, he's a few shades (see what I did there?) darker than most Shadow Walkers. He's also quite thin and scrawny, and also quite young (If he were human, he'd be in his early twenties). Shade lacks the yellow spots that most of his kind have.

Personality: Shade is generally quiet. He doesn't talk much, and he doesn't display emotions that well. However, all that bottled up emotion has to go somewhere. On rare occasions, when he's had enough, all of the emotion he keeps locked away, comes flooding out. When this happens, what he does usually depends on what emotion he's "charged" with. If he's angry, he could knock something down, start yelling at who he's mad at, or, when he's really mad, he could just fly off. Happiness or excitement die down slower. When he's feeling joyful, it's easy to see, because he has more spring in his step, he's really helpful, and sometimes, he has a smile as wide as the horizon. Sadness? No one's really seen him get really upset. That's because he secretly sings when he's feeling sad. He does it at night so no one can hear.

Crush/Mate: None.

Power: Shade can turn into fog, and while he's in this state, he can pass through anything, and he can thin himself out to make himself harder to see, but it makes him tired.

Other: He's an insomniac, and he has a good singing voice.

Whoa, you go, Koala. Like Tala said, I think that's one of the best posts I've seen you do. Oh, and I'll try and get Lucy post and a Zofia response in today. Gonna get off my butt and do stuff.

 

MrSpyro, your character's personality is not detailed enough for this RP. The character sheet and rules clearly say that we do require more detail in our character sheets. I'm afraid I'm going to have to reject it for now.

MrSpyro, I hope thats a reference to a certain SPUNKY purple dragon, not the derp one with the same name.

 

As Doc said, I agree there must be at least more detail, and I will tell you what they are. There are better and more descriptive names you can choose other than Specter. Something that doesn't just reference the fact that its a shadow walker, but something that describes his personality, the very thing that represents the core of who he is. You can even use names based on cultures, mythologies or even different languages to represent who he is as long as they represent him. After all, a name is part of a characters soul as much as the real names that are given to us.

 

I'm a bit more lenient when it comes to appearance so I'd only say put at least 2 to 4 more sentences in there. For your personality I can see where you're going with this and I approve of the personality you've described, but I do need more info. Not just "all that bottled up emotion has to go somewhere." I know from personal experience that those who bottle up their emotions need some way to vent it whether in public or in private. This includes both in-between emotional outbursts as he's trying to keep it in, and the moment he breaks down or at the peak of his emotional state- what he does in these kind of states. You also should describe which type of outbursting character he is: whether he's the type who breaks outwards onto others or objects or the type who breaks inwards which destroys himself mentally or physically. Either way both types tend to think a lot about others and themselves from positive to negative and often create lots of misunderstandings because they think so much instead of acting. When they do act it can sometimes come off as extreme. I can go on and on about how I can expand the character. I know that some of this is stuff is things you run into as you RP, but you need to think a little more before going into character.

 

Finally your power. I have no idea what you meant by "blink" away. Do you mean like he can appear to teleport? I need more to his power, something more unique that can do with his ability to disappear. I have an idea, but first I'd like you to try one more time before I step in.
