Posted September 18, 2014 (edited) Hi everyone, I'm Lethendralis. (Yes my ID is from DragonAge! It's Fenris' sword!~) To be honest I've never did any spriting before... So I decided to teach myself by painting eggs first! I will try my best to post at least 1 egg per day!! (Please feel free to request things from me; I will do them as long as I have time, because I'm eager to improve my techneque!) (English isn't my mother language so please forgive me for any mistake in my grammar... ) ****My Eggs**** 1. Glaciar Dragon This egg is sky blue and glitters slightly in sunlight. 2. Brooch Dragon This delicate egg is encrusted with gemstones. ****My Other Sprites**** 1. Yes. This is Raistlin Majere. I have no regrets. I've stopped practicing for a long time... How lazy I am Edited September 26, 2014 by Lethendralis Share this post Link to post
Posted September 20, 2014 Nice eggs! I really like the first one, but the second's shading seems to be a bit off. I think it's because the color's hue varies too greatly, so it looks like the egg is multi-coloured. Also, unlike the Glacier egg, it doesn't have dithering. The gemstones seem too organized, too. It would work better if the placement was more random. Can you do a lightbulb egg that's glowy? Maybe, if it's not too challenging, make the light come from inside the transparent shell? Thanks for the critques!! Yes, I struggled with the second one for a long time, trying to make variations in both the colors and the shadings. But the final piece doesn't seem right and I guess I should fix it sometime. And thanks for the suggestion too, i should just draw some more gemstones and put them randomly so that it looks more natural! And the lightbulb egg! Really nice idea. It is difficult for me, indeed, but I'll just challenge myself~ Share this post Link to post
