Yellow Undine theories!

I have a suspicion that breeding yellow undines will be like trying to breed tan ridgewings. It'll be chance and dependent on how uncommon yellow undines are to be. But we wouldn't be trying if we didn't like a challenge!

 

I've bred my two pairs of CB undines and got eggs but it will be a few days before I learn what color they will be. Pair 1 Pair 2

I managed 1 undine x undine egg, which I tossed into the AP.

 

Hopefully, someone will get a yellow from it when it hatches.

Maybe the fact they are harder to get eggs from shows they might be uncommons/very uncommon?

 

Anyways, I bred my undines to a brimestone, ember, and blu-sang (all refused) and I got "uninterested" from a gold shimmer and got the wrong egg from a canopy.

Undine x Green Copper

Brine x Undine

Undine x Tan ridgewing

Gold x Undine

Undine x Blacktea (it was auto APed)

 

They should hatch tomorrow.

Just bred mine and got undine eggs from Undine x Stripe, Spotted Greenwing x Undine, and Undine x Green Copper. I've got a couple more hatchlings due to hatch soon, saving one for my Guardian o nature breeding planned for tomorrow.

I have two that are due to hatch in a few hours whose mothers are cave releases, so I will be updating with my findings then. I also have four more CB undines growing up that I will be attempting to breed as well.

Alright, jumping in with a CB Bronze Prize dragon to add to the mixing pot of theories.

 

I bred:

• Bronze Prize x Undine = Undine Egg
• Thunder x Undine = Refusal
• Red Copper x Undine = Undine Egg
• Turpentine x Undine = No Egg
• Guardian of Nature x Undine = Undine Egg
• Guardian of Nature x Undine = Undine Egg

All dragons bred were CB, I bred three female Undines and three male Undines. 3 of them are Forest, three are Mountain and the Red Copper was Mountain as well when I bred him to a Mountain Undine female.

 

Curious to see what exactly it takes to get these yellow Undines.

Since I haven't yet.. I'll add my stuff to the lot.

 

This is what I bred.

 

Female Undine (Mountains) x Male Undine (Mountains) = No Interest.

Female Undine (Mountains) x Male Fleshcrowne (Desert) = Undine Egg

Female Undine (Forest) x Male Undine (Mountains) = Undine Egg

Female Undine (Forest) x Black Male (Non-Alt. Cave) = No Egg Produced

Female Vine (Non-Alt. Cave) x Male Undine (Forest) = Undine Egg

 

I tried the Black male just to see what would happen with a common. And I tried the Vine to see if it was completely based on the other partner's colors.

I managed to get 2 eggs and a refusal.

 

CB Ice x Undine = Undine

 

CB Blusang Lindwurm x Undine = Undine.

 

I also had no luck when trying to repeat with a non CB Ice.

 

I have a few more undines to breed.

 

So yellow hatchies are showing up now?

Just saw a newly hatched yellow undine from a GoN so hhopefully will start seeing a few more successes soon.

I don't think so, but so far all I've seen are Metalic and PB hatchies.

I have done:

Undine x Hellfire = Undine Egg

Undine X Electric = No interest

Undine X Copper = No interest

 

and i adopted an Undine X Falconform = Undine Egg

 

Both my 2Gs will hatch 11 hours, and the other in around one and a half days.

 

But I have some more CBs to hatch and grow up as well.

Thank goodness at least Hellfires can produce a yellow one! I'm praying Brimstones will too. I have such a perfect lineage in mind for Yellow Undie x Brimstones.

Maybe CBs will be Green, 2gs will be yellow, 3rds be green, 4ths be yellow, and continues? It'd look amazing in a pure bred lineage.
