I can't find them in the Breeds Eliminated post on the first page. Huh. Um. I'm guessing they were eliminated, but the last mention of them that I see is them winning here. Posted December 15, 2014 I think people might be preferring the Phantasms because the Rain dragons, while lovely sprites, would have the same problem in lineage view that Olives and female Canopies do- that is, just having their head and neck in the box. I think I know what you mean about the Phantasms - but I like both of them, and I find some features on the Rain dragon difficult to make out. Which is actually a shame since I really like Easterns. If it helps you, I didn't pick the Phantasms by a large margin. Maybe a both vote would have been better, on reflection, but I've always been voting in this tournament with the focus that if I manage to prefer one sprite over the other even ever so slightly, that I'll vote for the one that applies to. Like Antarean vs. Blossom Angels. I love both of them dearly, but the Blossoms concept is fractionally cooler for me, so I picked those. Or when the Antareans were up against the Assassinos, I picked the Assassinos for essentially the same reason. As the spriter/consepter of the rains, I would like to say... I have no idea either. I agree with both of you. The rains were my first solo concept and are some of my first sprites. Even I have mixed feelings about them to the point where I have considered removing them from the completed list. This is probably the reason: The voting is going to be based on the list as it is at the time of the threads posting, so threads added, updated, or removed from the CL will not change. In other words, since they weren't finished before the thread started when voting I'll be posting the CL versions.
