Freezing Hatchlings

Recommended Posts

It's pretty simple, just show whether a hatchling is frozen or not on their page. Now, you can see it from a person's scroll, but if their scroll is hidden, then there is no way of finding out whether a hatchling is frozen without looking at the date they hatched. And if they've been frozen recently, then there really is no way of finding out. So I'm suggesting a simple "This hatchling has had a magical spell cast on it, keeping it from aging" or something like that, below the hatchling text.

Thoughts?

(Sorry if this has already been suggested, if it has then a mod can lock this! I searched but didn't see anything)

I'd like this. For ones obviously old enough, it's not an issue, but it's hard to tell at a first glance unless you check the dates and do some math.

Frozen hatchlings no longer have a timer on their view page. That is how you can tell.

Oh, you know, you're totally right. XD I totally forgot about that. I guess it's not really needed at all, then.

Ah I'd never noticed that before. I thought the timer just froze tongue.gif

I guess it would be cute to have some text or something, but I dunno if it would be worth the effort.

Just throwing out the Date Frozen On suggestion as an alternative. I like the idea of the text, though; it's kind of cute.

Tbh, sometimes I forget to look for the timer if it's not there - it's not there so I just don't think about it - so text or frozen by date would help me. xP

I'd prefer an express text, since the "It must be close to maturing." message on frozen s2s always manages to 'confuse' me. I do know about the timer (or lack thereof, as it were), but the text under the dragon suggests it's still growing, so unless I look for the absence of the timer (a subtler effect than one might think), I won't realise that I'm looking at a frozen hatchling. At least certainly not on first glance. smile.gif

Maybe the "It must be close to maturing." message could be replaced with the "This hatchling has had a magical spell cast on it, keeping it from aging." message from the OP - or "While those are normally a sign of imminent maturation, this hatchling has had a magical spell cast on it, keeping it from aging." to keep the context?

[ Edit: To clarify, I mean "prefer" in relation to the current status quo, not in relation to the 'Date Frozen On' suggestion, which is also fantastic. ]

This would be nice.

It's easier to detect the presence of something (Freeze Date field) than the absence of something (no timer).

Perhaps the "Frozen on: " prompt could show where "Grew up on:" is not being shown.

I never had a problem with noting the presence or lack of the timer, but I can't see the problem with having a "Frozen on" line, either.
