Hmm...very interesting!! I only have the magma, so I can't summon the Guardian yet, but I look forward to being able to summon one and then try for one of these beautiful new breeds! Fun fun!

Happy Birthday Dragon Cave!!!! <3

I wouldn't normally object to Sweetlings being so tiny, but if I believe it I see hot skitty on wailord action every time I go to breed them and I can't handle it xd.png

On a more GoN note, I wonder if we'll get more of an explanation as to why certain breeds are aligned with the element they are when the encyclopedia is released (like something more than "element = X"). Most of the destruction breeds are a no brainer (was a bit surprised to see electrics), but I'm not sure about the others. Luminas are such sassy little things that they seem weird candidates of creation, and violent flamingos and relatively nondescript deep seas seem strange too. I thought change was magic using dragons, but not all of the breeds on the list are confirmed magic users. Hmmm!

To provide some basic details now: There's a level of abstraction between alignment and a specific breed. Each breed has one primary element (and sometimes a secondary element). For example, deep seas are water element (for obvious reasons). Then, elements are affiliated with an alignment. Water, as it happens, falls under creation.

There are four elements associated with each alignment, and one element for "neutral," for a total of 13 elements.

I'm so glad now I let both of my GoNs grow up instead of freezing one, and I made one male and one female too. Now I have two new eggs to love. Was always hoping there would be a day when the GoNs could breed.

Thank you TJ and happy anniversary dragcave.

Ooh, that's great to know! I'm excited for the encyclopedia to reveal the elements for all dragons. It'll be really cool!

so eacn breed basicly have on element, and some have 2 elements.

There will be 4 alignment or at least 4 aligment...(as 4 with each plus 1 neutral which comes 13.)

Oh my, the elements features are so attractive!!!

Can't wait to see more updates!

I'd really like to know what the neutral element is.

It's probably just that--neutral, or normal type, if you prefer-- /gets whacked xd.png

I'm guessing the breeds that keep refusing GoNs (Frills and Sweetlings ATM) are neutral.

Thanks for the info, TJ!

Mine has a first stage crack with the following stats:

1818 views

592 unique views

29 clicks

It's an iridescent egg that has been incubated and has about 4 hours to go before hatching. That is, if it hatches on time.

EDIT:

To compare, the GON mother's stats at adulthood are:

8999 views

1138 unique views

32 clicks

The other GON has lower stats at 6811/1314/11.

Thanks for the Info - I've got a long way to do with my little eggs then.

*looks at the stats of the parents of her little eggs*

Overall Views: 5920

Unique Views: 1108

Clicks: 9

and

Overall Views: 3899

Unique Views: 710

Clicks: 68

I can tell right now - getting these eggs to hatch is going to be a lot of fun like it was with their parents...

And thank you TJ for your information on the Elements as well!

I'm going to assume the four elements are water, fire, earth/ground/land/whatever, and air/wind. And then neutral.

I have a feeling that Sweetlings and Frills might be neutral, but I...feel like GoNs aren't just refusing every neutral type. There's 5 elements and only 3 affiliations, so there has to be overlap somewhere.

Lots of (assumed) wind element and magical dragons seem to be in Change, water and earth and even sun stuff in Creation, and then lots of fire (and lightning) and violent dragons in Destruction. But some of them that don't quite seem to follow those elements are probably the neutrals. So, I doubt that they're all being refused. :Y

That's just what I'm seeing looking at the list. Though, I think I will assume that Albinos, Bright Pinks, and regular Pinks might be considered neutral, so there's that. Not sure about Horse or Royal Blues. They both seem like they would have an element, but maybe not. I thought Royal Blues had something to do with the moon and water, so why they aren't in with all of the other water-based dragons confuses me (then again maybe they were just unsuccessful at breeding hybrid eggs atm). Horses? Eh, I would say they could loosely be earth element, but then again they're just kind of wild and a bit violent so personally I would count them under Destruction.

/just my speculation. o3o

My guess is that GoN are neutral? I think that's how the elements would "influence" the alignment into one of the avatars.

Not sure that refusing breeds have to do with neutrality (would make sense if VDays were the same element to me???). I think it has more to do with elemental alignment - such as a breed with no particularly strong affiliation for any one type of magic. (Not that your post was disagreeing with this; I just have a hard time seeing sweets as neutral.)

There are thirteen elements; one neutral and three for each type.

My (admittedly random!) guesses:

- Neutral

- Fire

- Water

- Electric

- Stone

- Plant

- Death

- Life

- Fire

- Air

- Magic

- Ice

- Poison

Gonna look through the list and see if they work! Probably death / fire / poison / electric for destruction...?

Well got one of my GONs to give me a cute little Mysterious baby... the other refused the mate sad.gif Now looking for any kind of Thunder for my daughter so she will have the means to summon her own GON... Bred everyone of my Thunders and got: No egg, refusal, and wrong breed sad.gif no Thunders..... Anyone have a spare Thunder??? Gen and messiness not important wink.gif

Hi!!! Just want to thank all the DCers who offered to help my daughter get a Thunder so she can complete her Trios and start Summoning!! She now has 2 and was even offered a third which she kindly passed on to my Grandson who also didn't have one. My daughter is 15 and my grandson is 12 and they both really enjoy DCing. Again, thank you to all you generous DCers!!

Oh whoops I totally forgot about the fact that TJ said 13 elements. XD Well that kind of destroys most of my speculation. Oh well. XD

Well, sort of. 4 elements with the 3 affiliations...eh I don't know anymore. Gonna wait for the encyclopedia to see for sure. :Y

Wrapping Wings and Winter Magis are in different groups (and, unlike Valentines, they don't even have different descriptions), so I don't think it's too crazy.

And I think it's neutrality + unbreedable status. Assuming Sweetlings and Frills are neutral and are bred to GoNs, they can't produce any egg. Can't breed avatars, GoN, Frills, or out of season Sweetlings, so the only possible outcome is a refusal. I could be wrong, but SOMETHING out there has to be neutral, and all the refusals smell funny xd.png

It sounds like some breeds have two elements; I wonder if they can breed both types?

The ability to breed two types would be interesting, like depending on if the mate was a male or female GON.

Is it possible to get an avatar egg from breeding two GoN's together? I want to try it, but I don't want to waste a week just trying it out.

They will refuse.

Holy wow, this was completely unexpected. Gorgeous little eggs, though, and it's nice to see that the GoN's are finally getting some use other than sitting around looking pretty!

I was only able to get a "change" egg; tried to breed my other GoN girly with a frostbite which didn't result in anything. The change ones are my favourite so far, though, and let me tell you a thing: Radiant Angel x GoN = pure gorgeousness ah <33

The whole elemental speculation is pretty interesting; it'll be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Happy birthday, DC! <3

Just as hard-headed as I thought… Like parents like kids…

Pasted their time on hatchling… BUT… still Eggy..

I like it when they are hard-headed~ wub.gif

And last night, I bred all my CB magmas X Coppers… no magma; instead they gave 7 (2gen) coppers~ biggrin.gif

They all went to AP and hope someone will love them~ smile.gif

Edited:

OH.. they hatched~

I'm getting soft shell from these things despite not even being at the last stage of cracking with 4 days left. That's weird, maybe things aren't entirely synced up between soft shell and cracking counts for these, or soft shell ignores incubate.

This is the only confirmed thing regarding elements right now. Anything else you see is speculation thus far.
