Vincent wasn't one to usually use his chains for defense. Dormouse was nearly useless and to do that to Deimos would be disrespectful. But as the flames suddenly thundered towards him, he quickly raised his hand. From out of the shadows by his feet, a giant skeleton with a goat's head and giant, bone wings sprung forth. A tattered cape surrounded where it's neck should be, casting a slight shadow over Vincent. It was obvious from the bright red blood on the ends of its sharpened wings that it was the creature Vincent had constantly been sending after the dragon. The flames struck the Chain but only seconds later it quickly twisted it's bony wings about, slicing through the flames with such a speed that sent them scattering away. "Now why are you doing that?" Vincent asked as he moved around the backside of the Chain, using it to separate him from Lanie and her sword. "I haven't attacked you and just minutes ago, you were attacking that Chain as well. It's better to put it down before it comes back to hurt someone, wouldn't you agree? Not if it isn't going to form a Contract with someone."

"What do you mean by chains and contracts?" Lucas asked this new blonde stranger, warily clutching to a random branch he found on the ground. He had noticed how the black dragon had reacted to the sight of this man, and it didn't seem too keen of him. "He looks like a dragon to me."
