The dragon managed to snag Jack's coattail, lifting him up in the air upside down. At the same time, the shadow grabbed his arm, locking the two in a human tug-of-war. And Jack was the rope. Screaming incessantly, the boy kicked his legs around in a futile attempt to free himself, locking eyes with the shadowy man before him. "Whatever you do, don't let go!" he begged, his face going red from the blood rushing into it.

The Jack-bot flew at the dragon again, aiming several swipes to its back before flying back, deploying the machine gun and spinning it up. Jack was in trouble, and it knew it.

There was a screech from the Night Fury as he flapped his wings quickly, trying to draw both of them into the air instead of actually releasing his target. He huffed slightly then reared back his head, ready to form another blast of fire to simply wipe the two out of existence. He didn't know where the other member of the group had sprung up from but he really didn't care. He would wipe him out just as easily.

His claws suddenly released Jack's coattail and he faltered, nearly landing on top of the two as the flying thing returned for another round. As it was, he ended up crashing to the ground nearby, narrowly avoiding hitting the two but injured from the attacks all the same. He let out a shriek of anger as he quickly turned and opened his mouth to attack the bot instead. Flames licked at the sides of his mouth as his narrowed eyes glared up at the bot. He would win! He was a Night Fury! He reared up onto his back legs in preparation of the fire, only to collapse back down onto the ground. His eyes rolled back and closed while his claws-previously flexed in anger-relaxed back into a neutral position.

Behind the now slumbering dragon, Vincent lifted his hand. During the distraction, he had managed to work his way around it and touch very back of its head. But that was enough for the large mouse now hovering behind him to do it's work. The slumbering Dormouse quickly vanished as it's work was complete and the raging beast slumbered on the ground. Vincent quickly moved forward, gesturing with a hand to Jack. He seemed to be controlling whatever was flying above them so he was the best one to talk to. "Alright, alright," He called out, placing a hand on the dragon's head. It only stirred faintly at the touch. "That's enough of that."

As Jack fell upon him once released by the dragon, Dark Link landed on his back with a umph. He gasped for air for a few moments, before vanishing into the ground and reappearing standing a few feet away from Jack and Vincent. Crossing his arms, his red eyes narrowed at the group. warriors, by the look of it. How irritating. Running a gloved hand through snowy white hair (at least the part not in his hat), he sighed heavily. It appeared as if he was stuck with this group. It was better than Link, though. Anything was better than Link. As he thought, the glowing red to his eyes eventually faded to leave no more than scarlet irises. With a distasteful huff, the shadow being curled his lip slightly. That was pathetic. If you're to wear long clothing, keep it close to yourself. For emphasis, Dark Link gestured to the rather comical hat he wore. He let it fall to one side of his shoulder to be sure it wouldn't be pulled at. Gaze flickering to Vincent, he frowned. This man was much more to his taste for shadows. Taller, quieter, and less cowardly than the person's shadow he had previously been occupying. He slowly walked so he was about a foot away from the blonde, and then sank into the ground. Instantly did Vincent's shadow morph forms to become the Hero of Time's. A few seconds of getting used to the shadow, and Dark Link's glowing red eyes opened again. Yeah, that was better.

When the dragon released Jack, he fell on top of the shadow man, landing in a heap of jumbled limbs. He remained that way for a moment before scrambling to his feet. Well, that had been awkward. Fixing his goggles and brushing the dirt from his coat, he tucked away the Reversing Mirror and turned his attention to his Jack-bot. The automaton was hovering in place, its gun barrel spinning and ready to fire. Quickly, the boy put his hands up, making a "stand down" sort of gesture with them. The bot understood, the gun folding back up into its chest. It then flew down beside its creator, hovering idly until it was needed again.

Momentarily scowling at the dark human beside him, the redhead turned his attention to the man beside the dragon. How had he done that? The boy had caught a glimpse of something floating beside him before the dragon fell; a sleeping mouse. Maybe it was a Shen Gong Wu? Though, the mystical weapons generally didn't disappear like that.

Now came the difficult question; keep the beast alive or kill it? Vincent turned to the lizard as soon as he saw everyone had calmed down. Not noticing the actions of the shadows, he tilted his head slightly to the side. Was it really a chain or some kind of abomination? Jabberwock was the only dragon-like chain he knew of but that didn't mean it was the only one. In fact, it was more likely there were many. But if it was a Chain and rampaging without a Contractor of some kind… No, he had been to the Abyss. They weren't there.

Vincent frowned and tapped his forehead in thought. Finally, deciding the beast could be useful, he looked back at the other members of the group. "This," He said, gesturing to the entirety of the dragon. "Is mine now." With a nod, he quickly took off his jacket and began tearing it into strips to use as rope. He'd make sure the beast couldn't move to attack them before letting it wake up. If it was a Chain, it had to able to at least say it's name. Glen Baskerville always had many Chains so why couldn't he? Three couldn't be so bad, especially since he was a Baskerville to start. "That means don't kill it," He added, looking around for wherever the cat-lady had gone.

((Not exactly sure where this is taking place, so I'll start her out in the city.))

Blue looked up at the buildings that clawed their way up into the sky. Humans, always looking to the sky. The dark feminine moved through the shadows. One had to be careful, traveling through the city. She wasn't exactly inconspicuous. The Nobles might get the wrong idea, and peg her as a wolf. Pops... Blue's ears laid back against her head sadly. She longed to return to his side. But, she was so free now. But her betrayal to Pops still hung heavy on her consciousness. The wolf-dog moved towards the edge of the city, continuously looking over her shoulder with her bright blue eyes.

Lanie returned to the group with her blade sheathed. She frowned at the entirety of the situation and knelt down beside Jack. She checked him over worriedly, looking for any sort of injury. Are you alright? It's a miracle he didn't grab your leg instead. she asked. There was a pause as she reached into her bag and pulled out a coil of rope. She threw it in Vincent's direction. Shreds of a coat won't hold back a dragon, you idiot. And... she trailed off as her gaze drifted to behind Vincent. Her blue eyes narrowed slowly. You have...a follower it seems...

Jack looked down at Elaani, a slightly confused look on his face. Was she... asking if he was okay? That never happened! None of his cohorts ever cared for his wellbeing, not even Wuya. And she needed him in order to put any of her plans into action! Why was this stranger so concerned? "Yeah, I'm fine," he answered, confusion clear in his tone. "This was nothing, really." In truth, he was scraped up a bit underneath his coat. But they were minor injuries, nothing he couldn't handle.

Turning to Vincent, he shot him an incredulous look, folding his arms. What was this man thinking!? That thing had tried to kill them all not even five minutes ago, and now he wanted to keep it as a pet? Was he mad? "You do realize that thing tried to roast us all a minute ago, right?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "I don't think it'll be all fine and dandy with the idea of you tying it up and calling it yours."

Here, drink this. Elaani turned and reached into her bag, a small frown coming to her face. She reached into it up into her shoulder, and shuffled around in the seemingly endless bag. After a short while, she pulled out a small red bottle and uncorked it. A quick sniff of it proved it was the right drink. The woman extended it towards Jack with a warm smile. Any fight with a dragon can be rattling. This will at least calm your nerves. To prove it was safe, she took a small sip from it. And it can heal any scratches you happened to get along the way. Although she could be cruel and violent, Elaani was a softie at heart. She found it a priority to care for those in need.

((Alrighty, thanks. I'll have her head that way.))

The wolf-dog moved into the forest, away from the humans. Here, she could be herself; No tricks, just freedom. Soon, Blue heard a commotion and speech. She slunk down to the ground, and crept forward cautiously.

"The strength of the rope hardly matters if it can't move enough to break them," Vincent pointed out but took the rope anyway. Using it, he carefully bound the creature's wings and feet to its body. He'd need to talk with it so he only loosely tied it's mouth, just enough so that it couldn't bite any of them or shoot fire. It's ability was probably it's fire so the rope should, in theory, bind it. If not, Dormouse already proved effective.

He turned his head slightly to look at the boy with mismatched eyes, obviously irritated. "It really won't have a choice in the matter," He replied as a smile appeared on his face. "Either we form a contract or I'll tear it to shreds. I've dealt with Chains before and I can certainly manage this one." He patted the dragon's head for emphasis. Immediately, green-yellow eyes snapped open as the effects of Vincent's Chain wore off. The Night Fury began to wiggle back and forth on the ground, snarling loudly at the group. The dragon's eyes narrowed as it found itself unable to break it's binds and gradually settled down, glaring at the group one by one.

"See?" Vincent said, gesturing to the dragon again. "No problems here." He idly moved in front of the tied-up creature and knelt down in front of it. The Night Fury snarled and focused its eyes on him as it wiggled slightly, trying to attack the human kneeling so close to his face. How degrading! "Are you quite finished?" Vincent asked as the Night Fury huffed loudly.

Lanie gradually bristled at the sight of the Night Fury. Not in anger, but in sadness. It was much like what happened to her poor friend Odaahviing. That dragon had been captured as well and humiliated. In a low, growling voice, she knelt beside the dragon and spoke softly. Dreh hi laan wah kos gestin? she asked. Hopefully this deagon spoke, well, dragon. That would make her life much easier. Perhaps she could reason with it. Daar mey laan wah imaar hi. Zu'u vis dein tol koros. Maybe it was time for her to put trust in a dragon or two.

The Night Fury turned his head and looked up at Lanie, his ears twitching slightly as he focused on her instead. Enslave? That was stupid. Vikings only killed or hurt. Before he could attempt to respond, Vincent snapped his fingers in front of the dragon's eyes, forcing his attention back. The blonde was staring at Lanie, a frown on his face.

"You'd be wise to back off," He advised then turned back to the dragon. "Are you one of the stupid ones or do you speak?" The dragon managed to rather sassily roll his eyes and completely avoid looking at the human before him. Vincent smiled and immediately removed his gun, pressing it to the dragon's head. "Allow me to rephrase that; you should speak or I'll kill you. I only keep useful things around me and you've demonstrated how difficult you are to handle."

Eyes narrowing to slits, Lanie's ears flattened and lip curled back. She flashed her teeth in her anger and growled softly. Rok laan wah krii hi. she muttered softly. Dragons can't speak anything other than Dovazul. Honestly, what kind of idiot was this man? Most didn't learn human tongue because there were too many to learn. Even the most ignorant of Nords knew that! Calmly did the woman unsheathe her sword and raise it towards Vincent. Instead of attacking that way, however, she stared at him. Suddenly did the air crackle with magic as she inhaled. Fus Ro Dah! The only way she could possibly free this dragon was to get Vincent out of the way. Lanie quickly stood, magic sparking in her free hand. With her sword, she cut one of the first ropes loose.

The Night Fury blinked slowly, unable to see the thing pressed to his head very well thanks to where his eyes were positioned. But he could feel it and it didn't sound very nice according to the humanoid's words. How was it she spoke Dragonese anyway? But what he really had to focus on was whatever weapon he was being threatened with. There was a pause as he strained against the ropes one more time before finally growling in response. Vincent shrugged slightly and pulled the hammer back on the pistol.

"Well, I thought as much. You're no use to me, then." He started to pull back on the trigger, only to be suddenly blasted to the side. The gun slipped from his grip as the Night Fury looked in surprise up at the creature he had been fighting moments before. No sooner than the rope had been severed, he shook the rest off and lunged forward, moving past her to the blonde. He snarled as he pounced on top of the man, forcing him to the ground. He slammed his paw down on top of his chest, digging his claws into the ground around his neck to hold him there. This dragon held a very, very deep grudge. It was stupid to infuriate him and then release him. A price would be paid.

Blue watched in stunned silence as a dragon of all things, pinned a man go the ground. "No!" She leapt out of the bushes, appearing in her human form. "Don't hurt him," she added quietly. She don't know the cirumatances, of course. But, she knew that killing, wasn't right. Not always, anyways.

Jack leered over at the man, huffing out of irritation as he drank the strange red potion Elaani had given him. Though the potion did help soothe his nerves and heal his minor cuts and scrapes, it did nothing to help calm his bustling thoughts or sort out his conflicting emotions. This man... he wasn't sure how to feel about him. He seemed evil and, if that was the case, then their alignments would match up. In other words, he would be his obligatory ally. On the other hand, it was completely possible that this guy was just a downright jerk. Then again... what was the point of striving for his goal now? He didn't know this world, and he certainly didn't plan on sticking around, so why try to take it over? Perhaps it would just be best for now if he went along with this group and didn't try anything suspicious.

Gee, that would be difficult.

He was then broken from his thoughts by the sound of the cat-lady shouting again. This time, she had blown the man right off of his feet. Now, the dragon seemed ready to tear his throat out. Strangely enough, the boy felt like rooting for the scaled beast in this situation. He didn't pay much mind to the strange lady jumping from the bushes. He just wanted to see this man get a taste of his own medicine. And then some.

((Eck. Two more days of finals...))

As another unfamiliar voice hit her ears, Lanie turned her head and scowled. What an idiot! Running into a conflict such as this and expecting to have some sort of say in what happened? Ha! Her gaze quickly returned to the Night Fury and its catch. Dreh fos hi laan. Zu'u dreh ni ulaak. She remarked with a small frown. If the dragon was to turn on her, she would kill it. But if not, she would leave it be. Eyes flickering to Jack next, she frowned even more. It seemed as if nobody cared for the blonde. Probably because he was nothing but rude to all of them. It served him right.

The dragon snorted as he leered over the blonde male, ignoring everyone, including the new arrival. But, shockingly enough, Vincent didn't seem confused or frightened by the beast staring at him, even as the people around made no effort to stop it. He blinked slowly before making a slight gesture with his hand. Immediately, the Night Fury let out a cry of pain and stumbled backwards, a large gash appearing across it's chest. The Night Fury swiftly retreated back several steps, snarling loudly as he lowered his head to the ground. What was that?! The human hadn't been armed but he had still been injured by something. There was a strange force in the air that didn't belong there. With a frown, Vincent slowly stood up, brushing off his coat.

"That was stupid," He remarked, staring at the bleeding dragon. The Night Fury looked honestly frightened and, without further hesitation, turned and swiftly fled, leaping in quick bounds over the new arrival and into the forest. Vincent's frown depend as he watched it leave then looked at the others. "Well, that takes care of that," He replied with a sigh. "It'll probably be weakened enough for someone else to kill it. Not my problem anymore.

((That sounds awful, Drako.))

((Ugh I got exams in just over a week, too. I'm gonna plop Lucas a little ways away from the main gathering of people.))

"Huh?" Lucas suddenly jolted awake to the sound of a distant shout. He seemed to be in the middle of an unfamiliar forest. "Where am I?" he wondered aloud, trying to get his bearings. His statement was met with silence. Then, it dawned on him. "Hello? Anyone there? Dad? Boney? Duster? Kumatora?!" he called out with increasing urgency. He looked around frantically, trying to find someone, anyone he knew. As he was running to and fro, a black scaly mass suddenly slammed into him, knocking him back with an ooomph. Getting up once more, his eyes widened in realization of what hit him (literally). Is that... THE Black Dragon?! he wondered, shocked. It looks like it's wounded... He snapped back to his senses as he heard the creature dart off, rustling the undergrowth. "H-Hey! Come back!" he exclaimed, running after it.

The Night Fury hardly noticed the small one he crashed into because he really wasn't focused on that. He didn't know what that man was and he didn't know what he had done. But even if he was small, he had somehow managed to hurt the Night Fury quite a bit. Immediately after striking the small boy, the Night Fury accidentally slammed in several trees before finally collapsing by a creek. The cut across his chest was bleeding quite terribly, having somehow managed to get through his thick scales. He didn't know how but he wasn't going to go near the human again to find out. His ears pressed backwards against his head before he closed his eyes to rest.

Lanie had taken off running after the dragon, using the aid of a dragon shout to sprint at an unnatural speed. It was going to die because of that wretched man! She rocketed into the forest, following only a few strides behind the dragon. She nearly crashed into a child along the way, and had to leap over the blonde boy. By the time she reached the water, Lanie was heaving from being out of breath. That...had been exhausting. Kos maht...Zu'u vis vahraan hi... she wheezed.

Lucas ducked as a lady leapt over him. Why was it that things kept on crashing in to him? It appeared that she was chasing after the dragon too. Not wanting to be left behind, he picked up the pace, skidding to a stop in front of the wounded dragon. The lady from before was already there, albeit much more exhausted than him. However, what caught his attention were the wounds inflicted on the dragon's chest area: deep, long gashes that looked strangely precise. Whatever it was that attacked him was very unlikely to be natural. Feeling a strange pang of sympathy, Lucas reached out for the dragon, preparing to use some of his psionic energy to cast Lifeup γ on the beast.

... It was then that he realized that the lady had a cat head.

"Gah!" he exclaimed in surprise, backing away abruptly. In the process of doing so, he tripped over a rock and fell backwards into the creek with a splash. He resurfaced as quickly as he fell in, desperately trying to wring the cold water from his clothes. He sheepishly looked at the cat-lady. "Umm... hi. You are... uhhhh..... did I do something wrong? what is going on?"
