Yellow eyes narrowing as more and more people sat up and looked about, Karkat scowled. None of them were any of his team. And all of them but one were...Humans. He muttered with a scowl. He hoped he would never have to meet humans, but here they were, right in front of him. The woman seemed like something that Nepeta would like. Karkat glanced between the white-skinned boy and the blonde. Finally settling on the one with white skin, he curled his lip in distaste. His set of serrated, white teeth were made visible by this. Shut up for censorkip.gif's sake. Crying won't make this any better.

At a noise behind her, the set of large ears swiveled and she turned her head. Elaani's blue eyes narrowed slightly as the blonde man as he seemed to reach for a weapon of some sort. A hand wrapped around the grip of her sword cautiously. I wouldn't attack if I were you. she warned in a calm voice. The worried mother look instantly shifted to the face if a hardened warrior. Years as living as a thief had given her the ability to pick out hidden objects people carried with them. Weapons, or whatever that was, wouldn't get past her cautious eye. It'd be preferable if everyone was on good terms.

The boy's eyes locked onto the cat-lady's, shrinking away from her as she approached him. Fear was a normal feeling for him, he wasn't the bravest man out there. But he hadn't felt this much of it in a long time. Not since he first met Wuya, his mean-spirited ghostly companion. Speaking of, where was she? As much as she hated him, she rarely left the boy's company, as she needed someone to assist her in getting her powers back, and he was the one who inadvertently freed her from her imprisonment. "W-who are you? What are you!? Where are we!?" he shrieked, his voice growing more and more panicky. Then, he tripped over something lying on the ground and landed flat on his back. Scrambling backwards, he continued to keep his eyes on the strange woman, ready to take off if she tried anything harmful.

Vincent clearly hesitated when the rest of the woman came into view. He hated cats. Well, Gilbert hated cats so he hated them by association. But this was a big cat. He could have some trouble with this one. He'd have to play nice. "Very well," he replied lightly, moving his hand away from the gun. He had other weapons that didn't require his hands to use if he was threatened. "But you should follow your own words and not draw your weapon either." The sniveling boy nearby was growing more irritating but he could wait a bit before silencing him for good.

With a simple nod, Elaani removed her hand from her sword. Gladly. She looked the blonde stranger over for a few seconds, before turning her attention to the shrieking boy. Oh, he was a skittish type it seemed. She tilted her head slightly to the side as he scrambled away and bumped into the horned boy. With a small frown, she gave a short bow. Elaani Sand-Strider, Khajiit of Skyrim. My apologies if I scared you. I shall keep my blade sheathed for the time being as long as I have a reason to.

Hey! Karkat glared down at the kid about the same age as he was bumped into. He frowned for a while, before reluctantly sitting down beside him. Losing your mind isn't going to help. So, if you calm your ****ing tits for a few painful seconds and realize they would've killed you already if they wanted to, censorkip.gif doesn't seem all that ****ty. he advised. Although he had a foul mouth, Karkat meant well enough most of the time.

When the cat turned away from him, Vincent shuddered again but allowed himself to look around. They were in a grass field but it seemed much too pristine and calm for his liking. He twitched ever so slightly then started away from the whining boy nearby. He'd have to find his way back to Gil and away from these obviously irritating and strange... chains? They had to be chains. But if they were, why hadn't they killed him yet? And this certainly didn't feel like the Abyss. Everything was strange here.

The kid began to calm down when Elaani identified itself, though the gray boy's words seemed to rile him. He wasn't used to people talking to him like that. Still, he didn't look like he was going to run anymore. "Alright... I still kinda wish I knew where we were... but I guess I'll have to deal with it," he muttered, shaking his head and looking up at the two strangers. "The name's Jack Spicer, evil boy genius! I, uh, I just wanna go home."

Home. Yeah, that was a nice notion. Back in Skyrim. Though, she really liked the warm weather. A soft breeze ruffled through her fur as she thought of home. You don't seem evil to me. I work with assassins, fight monsters, and loot graves for a living. You don't appear all that threatening. But it's a pleasure to meet you all the same. With a sigh, she sat down so her back was to Vincent and smiled. Ever seen a dragon before? Now those are pretty vile creatures. I can hardly believe we're kin. It was probably best to change the subject to keep tensions from rising. And dragons were always a good topic. Reaching into her endless bag, she shuffled around until she pulled out a heavy skull. It was as long as her arm and full of razor sharp teeth. Holding it carefully in her hands, she offered to to Jack. This one was difficult to kill. But it burnt up like all the rest of them eventually. Almost lost a leg in that fight.

The change in conversation caught Vincent's attention and he turned his head back around to stare at the cat. Well, she looked nothing at all like a dragon. The skull she was holding no doubt belonged to some kind of chain. But that didn't make any sense. Even if she was absolutely revolting, he still needed someone to tell him where he was. He'd kill her once she proved she was worthless. "How could you call something that is related to you vile?" He called, placing one hand on his hip. Family was important. Loyalty was very important. People who upset him usually didn't live for long. And lacking family loyalty was revolting.

((Name: Night Fury [unnamed]

Age: Unknown, presumable juvenile or adult.

Gender: Male

Personality: Night Fury is intelligent and seems rather like a mixture of a dog and a cat. When not threatened, he resembles a dog; curious and docile. But when threatened, he resembles a cat and is prone to attacking and mistrust. He's not the humblest of dragons and is unintimidated by creatures even larger than he is. He is strategic in his actions and, more often than not, lethal.

History: Night Fury is, well, a Night Fury. As a dragon, he attacked Berk constantly but avoided being seen and never took food. This is probably due to the fact he is more partial to fish but is also rather shy and avoids direct contact with people.

Okay, this was gonna get awkward. Jack could sense it. Standing up, he brushed off his coat and walked over to where he tripped. Just what had he tripped over? It seemed large and solid, like a boulder. However, when he knelt down to inspect it, it became clear that this object was no rock. It was smooth, shiny. It looked like something he had crafted, and it even had his emblem on the front. The boy's eyes lit up as he opened a panel on the back, looking for a switch. "I hope you still work," he muttered, finally finding and flipping the switch. With the hum of machinery, the hunk of metal came to life. Its red eyes lit up, and it began to hover. As far as Jack could tell, it was completely functional.

"Yes!" he cheered, standing up and closing the back panel. "Man is it great to see something familiar for a change."

Lanie turned her head and frowned slightly. This would be hard to explain. Well, it's because they are vile. Dragons are, violent creatures that destroy and subjugate all for fun. Khajiit was not only disowned once declared as Dragonborn, but ordered to be killed. The only kinship dragons and I share is our souls and voices. She paused to turn around completely and stand, the massive skull still in her hands. She cleared her throat, turned her head away from Vincent, and inhaled deeply. With the tongue of a creature clearly larger than her, she uttered three words in a deep, guttural snarl. Fus Ro Dah! Magic made the air around her vibrate with energy. The grass that had been in her voice's path was flattened completely and left a large, open patch of ground. Turning back to the blonde, she smiled slightly. You see, my true family of blood I left in order to bring wealth back to them. Poverty is common in Elsyr and I am determined to spare my sisters from it.

Well, that would certainly explain why she lacked scales, wings or talons. But it couldn't really be dragons. It had to be some kind of Chain or something of that nature. But then, the delusion of being related to a chain… it was completely ridiculous.

Vincent visibly jumped at the sudden display. Even though it had not been targeted at him, the only way that an ability like that came to being was through the power of the Abyss. So she had to be a contractor then, living a lie. Well, it certainly wasn't his job to break the news to her, especially if he wasn't being attacked. He'd leave her to her own illusion. "Whatever you'd like to believe," He replied dismissively, waving a hand as he turned away. He needed to figure out where he was and how to get back to where he had been. It was probably the work of another contractor. But why?

In the tall grass nearby, the Night Fury was awake. His head twitched slightly as he rolled off his side and onto his feet, causing the grass to shake slightly. His head snapped to attention with the sounds of voices from nearby and he quickly lifted his head up above the tall blades to inspect the area. Upon seeing what were obviously not fellow dragons nearby, the Night Fury quickly flattened himself back down into the grass. His pupils contracted into suspicious slits as he looked around cautiously before moving through the grass, slowly at first, towards the group. He didn't know where he was but people were rarely friendly and he could easily assume they were going to attack him. That was what all vikings did. He had to make sure he was the one to land the first strike. So he slithered forward, moving closer and closer.

Soldier had recently arrived, with a confused look. He made an annoyed sound, and decided to check his surroundings for any of the Blu team. Thinking of it as another map, the soldier explored. But what was this objective? There was no cart nor control points. No briefcases either. He wondered around, and then got the feeling that he wasn't in badwater anymore. Soldier walked into a woods, looking for some explanation of this random mystery.

Jack jumped when Lanie displayed her powers, whipping around to see what had happened. To his shock, the grass in front of her was completely flattened. Now, he had learned from experience not to underestimate a lady. Not because he had good morals, but because he had gotten his hind end handed to him on several occasions by three different women. And two of them were on his side! Still, it was surprising to see that she could do that with just her voice. Perhaps she was a witch of some sort, like Wuya? Otherwise, how could she do that without the use of Shen Gong Wu?

Cautiously, he backed up and began checking his person for the aforementioned mystical weapons. He usually had at least one on him at all times. Feeling around, he found one strapped to his back. Removing it, he saw that it was his Monkey Staff. A welcome sight; this was his favorite one to use! After all, what cooler weapon was there than one that gave you the abilities of a monkey? Granted, he had to be careful not to use it for too long, but it was always a blast. Grinning, he strapped it back on his back and kept checking. By some stroke of luck, he found another one in his pocket. His Reversing Mirror. Extremely useful, though it was more for strategic defense than anything.

Looking at himself in the mirror, he caught some movement in the tall grass behind him. From the looks of things, it seemed to be approaching their little group. Nervous, he turned to face the rustling, the mirror still clutched firmly in his grasp. "Jack-bot, go investigate!" he ordered, pointing at the movement. The robot's scarlet optics flashed in affirmation as it flew over, watching for any signs of hostility.

Night Fury stopped short and quickly lowered himself to the ground as a strange thing began flying towards him. It wasn't a dragon... But Vikings could not fly! Either way, it had to be an enemy since it shined like the stuff swords were made of.

His rear end began to wiggle slightly as he lifted one foot to his chest, then another. Immediately, he leapt into the air, a screech erupting from his throat. His large wings beat the air to help him stay aloft as blue-purple fire erupted from his mouth. In a large wad, the flames whistled through the air and flew towards the strange robot. Hearing the commotion, Vincent quickly turned towards the large creature and took several quick steps backwards. That was no chain he had ever seen. But that was what it had to be, right?

In an instant did Elaani have her sword unsheathed and at the ready. The silver blade's hilt shone fiercely due to the crystal in it, and the actual blade had a faint, warm glow. Tensed much like an animal, her blue eyes narrowed at the airborne creature. Dragon. It was unlike any sort of dragon she had ever seen, but it was distinctly of dragon shape and form. Elaani ran forward, another shout escaping her mouth and wreaking destruction in its wake. Fo Krah Diin! An icy blast of wind along with snow and ice propelled towards the black dragon as soon as the words left her lips.

Karkat too was alarmed by the sudden violence. From nowhere did a sickle appear in his hand, ready for battle. He gripped the weapon tightly, eyes narrowed at the figure. Was it some sort of lusus? Maybe the cat-woman's? She had said something about dragons earlier. No...the only person who would hate their lusus enough to attack it was Vriska. Hey! Hold on a second you Furry dumbass! Like usual, his words were ignored. Great.

Sensing the imminent danger, the Jack-bot shot up further into the air, deploying and spinning up a machine gun barrel from its chest. It seemed ready to fire, but was holding back until it received the command to attack. The boy in command shrieked at the dragon's sudden appearance, running over behind Elaani and cowering there. He had never seen such a fearsome dragon! Well, there was one, but it was easily made dormant through the use of soot. And it didn't look like this! "Jack-bot, attack!" he yelped, making sure to keep himself out of harm's way.

The robot immediately began firing, shooting in small bursts as it tried to stay behind the dragon. It seemed to be capable of some form of learning, and seemed to know where to avoid.

The Night Fury took the pause in the robot to dive to the side, his wings curling close to his body as he entered a spin. As a dragon, he was very feared and was very fast. While he was used to not engaging at all but firing from afar, it was not beyond his abilities to fight in close combat. In fact, he was quite good at it. His eyes contracted even further until his pupils were practically just lines as he landed on the ground nearby. Whatever strange attack had been launched at him from the group had been avoided thanks to the spin away from his first target. But now the rest of the group was on guard. With a hiss, he turned towards the group nearby and opened his mouth. Gas gathered inside as he prepared to launch an explosive ball of fire at them… only for the ground around him to suddenly be torn up by a strange attack. His hard scales felt the blows of several strange weapons foreign to him and the dragon quickly darted away, bounding away from his first target. What in the name of the Red Death was that!? The Night Fury bolted as fast as he could, leaping across the ground in great strides before suddenly turning and bouncing towards the group. He had to attack, not run away! The one with the sword seemed most dangerous so he opted to fight her first, his yellow-green eyes focusing on Elaani.

"That's a Chain, idiot!" Vincent yelled as he backed away from the advancing creature. They needed space to move and couldn't huddle all together or they'd all die together. So he quickly moved away from the other few members of the party, gesturing with his hand as he did so. Dormouse would require him to somehow touch the strange creature while Demios… well, he had to have some kind of trump card, didn't he? Actually, since the thing didn't seem to be targeting him, maybe it would be better to simply watch. If needed, he could attack but he could learn a lot just be observing.

Clearly it's a dragon! Lanie turned her head momentarily to hiss a response at Vincent. she snapped her head back at the black dragon and tensed. she remained perfectly still as the Night Fury advanced, and once it seemed she would be pounced on, dove beneath the dragon feet-first as it jumped and slashed upwards at it. A fight was no challenge to the furred woman. In fact, she reveled in the action. Though, the serious and grave look on her face didn't give this away. She was one who craved violence, as it gave her a genuine thrill.

The Jack-bot stopped firing as the dragon scampered away, the gun folding up into its chest. Then, it deployed its secondary weapon. From the two knobs on its side, two arms deployed, each one tipped with a large hand with four sharp claws on it. Keeping out from in front of the creature, it aimed a quick strike at the back of its head, aiming to distract the large reptile rather than take it down. It was programmed to draw attention away from Jack, and that it did.

The boy in question seemed to panic a bit as Elaani darted off, suddenly finding himself with no cover to hide behind. Still, he knew it would be best not to run. After all, this group seemed willing and able to defend him, and seeing as he had far more brains than brawn, he would be needneeding that kind of company. Holding his ground, he watched the dragon from afar, searching for a possible pattern or weakness. He needed to know how to approach this thing before he went in there.

It was only thanks to his amazing agility and speed that the Night fury managed to dodge the attack. As soon as the humanoid vanished from his line of sight, his wings snapped out and he flew upwards instead of finishing his arc downwards. The intent had not really bee to dodge but instead simply give him time away from the ground to locate her. Still, he wasn't one to gripe over a lucky dodge. Swords in general were not his friends and made the dragon very, very irritable. With a screech, he flapped his wings several more times to distance himself from the ground, only for another attack to come from the sky. This was struck true and the dragon was dazed for several moments before he managed to shake his head and soar upwards quickly.

What was this? Why couldn't he at least take down one of these creatures? He was having a remarkable amount of trouble dealing with them. Finally having enough, he set himself to hover above before swiftly launching six explosive shots at the ground, aiming for no person in particular. The fire exploded upon impact, sending quite a large amount of dirt flying in all different directions. Even if it didn't hit anyone, it would be enough just to knock them off their feet. Hopefully. If one of them went running away from the strange flying thing or the armed woman, he would be ready to swoop down and grab one. Even vikings weren't immune to heights. If he dropped one of them, that would be that.

The Jack-bot darted away from the dragon, circling around as it searched for another opening. It managed to avoid the shots, as it was in the air.

Jack, however, was not so lucky. One of the shots hit directly behind him, sending him flying forward. He landed with a grunt, the impact leaving him momentarily dazed. Still, he held on to the mirror. He knew of its capabilities, and knew it would be best to keep it close. However, he was now momentarily defenseless, as he was already distanced from the group when the blast hit, and he was rather disoriented for the time being.

There. The Night Fury quickly flipped himself over and rocketed towards the ground, it's eyes trained on the smaller one in the group. His wings extended right before he was about to smack right into the humanoid, slowly his fall immediately. His front legs quickly extended and his claws snatched at the air, hopefully finding a loose article of clothing or a limb or some kind of thing he could grab ahold of. He took a very little amount of time doing this before he began flapping his wings again to hopefully drag the boy into the air with him. As soon as one of them was down for the count, the rest would easily follow. He'd just pick them off one by one until only he was left.

Once yanked from his safe resting spot, Dark Link's red eyes opened from Jack's shadow. Okay, not cool. Although scarcely visible, Dark Link scowled from the shadow. With one quick motion, he leaped from the shadow and became human, his arm crossed. Hey! That was my shadow! he yelled at the dragon. Dark Link quickly tugged on Jack's arm, hoping to pull him from the monster's grip. I intend on keeping it!
