Posted April 18, 2014 Say hello to the Tufted Deer Yesss, I love muntjacs and similar deer. I discovered them in a biology textbook years ago. Recently, a friend thought I was playing a joke on her when I showed her this Chinese water deer. Epic teeth ftw. Deep sea creatures are always interesting. Even when they make me say "nope nope nope". Personally, I've always liked pangolins and capybaras. Thy don't seem like they're particularly unknown to me, but still people in RL have had to ask me what they are. :/ Share this post Link to post

Posted April 19, 2014 Lance-Tailed Manaikin. While not unusual in appearance, the male's mating behavior is. They are cooperative, rather than competitive. Share this post Link to post
Posted April 19, 2014 List of random animals I could think of. Superb Bird of Paradise, who can fan out its feathers to turn into...this thing, when trying to attract a mate. The Poodle Moth The "blue dragon" slug or Glaucus Atlanticus. The lyrebird. It looks pretty normal in the photo, but they can imitate nearly any sound. Even chainsaws. http://video.nationalgeographic.com/video/...superb-lyrebird Share this post Link to post

Posted April 19, 2014 Time to go on a bird-pimping spree. New Zealand Kea. World's only alpine parrot, and a rare meat-eating one. Dissembles cars. It looks dull green until it opens its wings and you see the colors. Grey Peacock Pheasant. Its sapphire-studded feathers are gorgeous. Lady Amherst's Pheasant. Fabulous. Share this post Link to post
