The Magic Apocalypse

Recommended Posts

Raven looked back to Lay. There wasn't much else she could do. But Vincent, in an annoying way, was right. Ghost was dangerous, and proved a threat to everyone, and everything. If he was left to run free, even with Lay, there was no telling what he'd do. But then again, Lay proved to have a valid point as well. I agree with both of you. Vincent, it's smart to keep him here, but if there is a chance he can return to normal, I don't think you should kill him, or hurt him. That would make pretty much everyone happy, right?

Lay went to sit upright and checked her nose. "Ow..." Yep, it's ****ing broken. From such a small fall too. She looked at Raven. "Fine, Raven is right."She looked at the other people in the group. "But I still want to see Glen. I don't trust you all with him." After saying that she felt herself getting weaker in mind again. Already, what would I expect from this kind. Lay grabbed the package with capsules out of her pocket. "I won't get near him I won't attack you all. You happy with that at least?" She pushed out a few capsules and swallowed them. "Oh and Vince I took the liberty to use your storage room." Holding the package up as she said that.

Vincent shook his head immediately. "No. That little tempertantrum means you won't get to see him again," he pressed his hand a bit more tightly to the wound then looked over at Mina. "Would you mind being his guardian for now? I don't trust him with anyone else. He's find a way to escape again." His attention turned back to Lay and he quickly stood. Having been a doctor before the start of the apocalypse, it wasn't too difficult to identify the medicine. "You shouldn't be taking so many of those," he advised then pulled out his walkie talkie. "It's V. Batten down the hatches and get me a few eagles to Chinatown." The storage room would be put on lockdown to prevent any further thefts and a group of armed men would come to escort Mina and Glen and possibly detain Lay. He wasn't taking anymore chances.

Raven sat quietly now. She looked to Vincent expectantly.

Roxy on the other hand, had come back into the light. "What's going on here?!" She demanded.

Lay glared at Vincent again, but she calmed herself. She smiled and tried to hold a normal conversation. "What do you expect when the medicine has worked out. Stop in the middle and take a few extra? It doesn't work like that when I'm angry." She put the package back in her pocket. "And I can use as many as I want from these, they are really useless. Normally I use more at once, and stronger ones at that." For a moment she wondered something. She waited untill he was done with the talkie "how do you know what kind of medicine this is?" She looked at the new girl and also smiled to her. "Well what's going on I wonder? I think that we just don't really like eachother."

((I have to wait a few weeks for spring break. bummer))

"I used to be a doctor," Vincent replied as he tucked the walkie talkie away. "And it doesn't matter if it seems ineffective. Your body may have built up a resistance but you can easily OD on it anyway. Resistance does not mean you are immune." He looked over at Roxy then waved a hand dismissively. "We managed to apprehend a certain Golden Eyed Ghost. It took quite a bit of effort, as one may imagine. He wasn't exactly happy."

Lay just calmly sat on the floor as she let the information progress. "A docter uh... that explains a lot why I don't like you." As usual she smiled. "Than if you come across my docters, can you tell them they give horrible prescriptions?" She looked at the girl and grinned. "Actually, he was very happy. To escape that is." She tought a bit. "Now that I think about it the second time was probably my fault." Being in her habit again of self-talking she didn't notice she said it aloud.

Roxy blinked, her jaw going slack. "You... You actually caught him? I thought he was just a legend!" She'd heard rumors around the base about him, but she'd never actually thought she'd see him, or even existed. With Raven forgotten, she looked at Ghost amazed.

Raven rolled her eyes. She'd had enough of this girl. Why'd she chosen to attack her earlier, she didn't know. Before that, she'd been fine with her. Humans...

Lay stared at the new girl with a bit of wonder. "Maybe if you keep staring at him he will wake up." She shook her head and smiled friendly at her. "I don't know what you rather have. Thinking he was a legend and never come across him or seeing him in real live were he can attack anytime." Her friendly smile dissapeared just a second after she said that. "Anyway it doesn't matter. He is here now and I want the other one than Goldie to be here." She turned away from the girl and saw Raven. When she saw the wound on Raven, created by herself, she felt guilty. "Hey Raven.... sorry for that. I didn't exactly know what I was doing." She wanted to smile to her but she couldn't "On a scale of one to ten, how bat-censorkip.gif crazy did I go?" Asking seriously she hoped Raven understood she didn't mean to harm her and really was sorry.

As if on cue, the limp body began to stirr. He groaned softly and shifted around, trying to lift his head so he could see what was going on. Vincent quickly swung towards the source of the noise with a frown. "Mina, take him out again," he quickly barked, used to giving orders. The men he had called in hadn't arrived yet so they would have to keep him under for now. "I don't want him doing anything until he's properly locked up. Does anyone actually know what his power is or what it's linked to? Or should I just get rid of all of his senses?"

The anwser wasn't important she knew she was crazy. Lay felt strangely calm like there was no fear at all when he woke up. Maybe Vince is right and I took too much. She sighed and stood up to look properly at the people. "Like I said before we treathened each other."For a moment she touched her painfull nose as a reminder. "Just bind him up and blindfold him. That should be fine, or don't you trust a mental case?" At this she smiled at him. "Oh and since you're going to keep us seperated. Can I at least be the one to blindfold him?" Because if it's Glen and he's awake than he at least knows I'm near.

Raven shook her head. It's ok Lay. I know you didn't mean to. She smiled slightly.

Roxy looked at the girl, obviously confused. Upon hearing Raven's voice, she turned, reaching for her knife again.

Lay paused a moment to turn around and smile at Raven. When she did so she saw the girl grabbing her knive again. Looking at the knive and then the girl, she felt like that she needed to say something about it. "I don't know what you are planning, but didn't you get orders?" She sighed. "Be stubborn if you will but don't act like I did just a few moments ago." She added while smiling

He has the ability to destroy anything and everything. But it's his sight, so it's easy to cover up. Mina answered. As the man stirred yet again, she was sure to sap some of his energy. If he was to be conscious, she was making sure he had no energy to destroy anything. She was going to drag his life out slowly and make him suffer. When she finally grew bored of him, Mina would kill him herself. He had caused far too much trouble the way it was.

"Absolutely not," Vincent replied immediately in response to Lay's request and turned to look at Mina again. "You're in charge, like I said. And Roxy, that's enough. If you two want to fight, wait until we've got everything under control here first." He shook his head as the Ghost opened his eyes. It was all he could do to look up before his head slouched over again, too weak to move. "As soon as the men I called in get here, you lot are going to be escorted to your rooms. Raven, you'll get your own. Lay will be placed under guard to ensure she doesn't steal anything else. Someone will follow you around and watch you. Don't cause a fuss and you won't have to worry. Mina and I will take the Ghost and try to figure out a place to put him."

Lay saw Ghost wake up for a moment before he slouched again. It's still Goldie in there, shame. She looked at Vince and smiled. "Just another reason to not like you." With a sideway glance she looked with worry at Glen. Just keep up till we get out. "You can't even let old friends say goodbye." Fumbling with the package in her pocket she continued. "I don't know why you think I'm a thief. I just borrowed what I needed." She took her hand out of her pocket and touched the weapons she had. "Does this mean I can't keep the weapons? I think I get a deja vu." She added while grinning.

Roxy sulked, and then disappeared down the hall, heading back to her room.

Raven snarled at her back, and then looked back to Vincent. I'm afraid to ask, but what's supposed to happen to us now?

((Wow, I'm so sorry guys. I didn't realize how hard it was to read Impact on a computer. I usually use my phone. xd.png ))

"You can't return medicine once you've taken it," Vincent replied stiffly. "You did not obtain permission to take it either. By all accounts, that is theft." At that moment, several armed men appeared, holding their guns at the ready. Vincent gestured idly to Lay. "You will be given a room to stay in and a guard to watch over you. You will be permitted to roam but not permitted to carry weapons. You'll be able to leave once we clear the tunnel. You will not be allowed to harass anyone here and Lay will not be allowed to see the Ghost. I will, however, grant that right to Raven. As a thanks for helping to contain and secure the Ghost, we will not persecute you and I will do everything in my power to make sure that nobody here harms you provided you do not harm them." He turned to Lay and scowled. "You'll be searched for weapons by your guard and not permitted to keep any of them."

The Ghost struggled to move despite the sapping of his energy. He managed to lift his head yet again to squint at the guards that had appeared before turning his head sideways so he could look at Vincent. "And so the king of the trash speaks," He whispered. "You won't be able to win. You'll all die."

"Well, I messed up for myself." Lay reached for her weapons and saw the guards flinch and ready to attack. "Don't be so nervous. I'm just giving it to you, not attacking you." she gave the guards her weapons before she turned to Vincent. "It's like you said, it's theft if you can't return it. But I have more than you had of this medicine in my camp. I have enough to return it to you in twofold, so it is borrowing." Faintly she heard Ghost whisper, and almost giggled at the title. Ok I don't like Goldie but that was one I agreed on. She smiled at him. "Goldie, I hope you can give Glen back soon." Did I just say that name out loud to him? Oops...

"I did not say that was a deal and you cannot ensure payment. If you push this matter further, I will detain you," he gestured to the guard as he walked away with the weapons, leaving behind another, female guard. "This is Elizabeth. She'll be your escort. She took mixed martial arts before the apocalypse so for your sake, don't try anything." He glanced at Glen then rolled his eyes.

"I will escort you to your room," Elizabeth declared as she gestured to the door. "I'll search you for more weapons there."

Lay put her hands up. "okey okey I just wanted you to know. It doesn't matter that much anyway. It's just for as long as my stay." After she said that she smiled to Elizabeth. "My name is Lay, nice to meet you. After you have done that can you escort me to the cafeteria or something. I haven't eaten for a long while." With that she gestured at her belly.

((going to wait for the others.))

Mina kept close beside Ghost, deciding that she would be the self-appointed guard. After all, she could keep him in check by virtually making him a living ragdoll. Her aqua eyes darted to Ghost as she heard him speak. Her eyes flickered a solid white, and her arms sparked. It was just a warning for now. He wasn't strong enough to fight anyways. You underestimated me if you think a corridor implosion would kill me. she murmured. You aren't escaping this, you steaming pile of censorkip.gif.

Raven nodded. Thank you, Vincent. The terms were more than fair, and she would happily oblige. She was quite surprised as Vincent said she'd be allowed to visit Ghost. Looking him over at this point, she doubted that she would really use it. As much as she hated to accept it, she knew that the man was not Glen, but Glen was in there somewhere. Maybe... I still can- She shook her head. As the guards came and went, she waited patiently for her own turn. Would she still be housed with the other humans? She was a wolf, and to Vincent, a sorcerer. While she skated the trials, there would still probably be some biased views if she were to walk among the humans. As long as I didn't talk, they'd be none the wiser. And, we are more or less, buffered by Vincent. Anyways, I'm sure they have something planned. The canine padded up beside Elizabeth. As if on cue, at Lay's mention of food, her own stomach seemed to hollow out. While she was built for functioning on scarce amounts of food, if she didn't have to go hungry, she wouldn't want to.

((I was thinking about why they would search Lay twice, the second time being back at her room, and it sort of just made sense. Maybe that wasn't what you were going for? xd.png ))

Roxanne grumbled as she slipped in a pool of blood. The sticky liquid coated her hands. She didn't want to wipe them off on her pants. Instead, she settled for using a discarded shirt. Where'd this come from? She held it up, studying it carefully. There was a name tag pinned to it. Dr. Tyra Huddleson. Roxy hadn't heard of that doctor before. In fact, she was sure that there wasn't a doctor of that name on base anywhere. "So where'd the shirt come from?" She asked aloud.

The Ghost twitched as he stared at the sparking arms. He had never known about his inability to break apart energy. He was going to have to work through that. But he couldn't move at all. Things were not looking very good for him. How long before he was forced to hand over the reins to Glen? "If you really think that, you better just kill me now," He hissed back.

Elizabeth looked to Vincent, who quickly shook his head. "Cafeteria access is barred. We can't have any more thefts, can we? I'll deliver food to your room. You'll get the basic meal plan like all newcomers. You'll also be barred from meeting rooms, the armory, storage, etc. You will be allowed to enter the training room if you wish but that is all." He turned to Raven and, after some thought, shrugged. "You'll be given the same meal plan but will be allowed to enter the rooms if you are with me. You did help so I feel like you should be rewarded. For now, both of you should go with Elizabeth while I get the food."
