In the time since then, I've seen a lot of new dragons flood into the site, and yet there are many out there that I just don't have the time to hunt down myself (trust me, though, I've put in the time!). So I thought about how I might get my hands on them… I like to draw dragons, but rarely have reason to. And, I don't have any eggs of value to trade to get the eggs I want in order to continue lineages sitting there on my scroll. Not to mention I've never even SEEN a rare in the cave. Therefore, I've come up with this - my skills for your eggs. (EDIT: I literally caught myself my first rare egg right after I got my first trade. 3-29-2014.) Basically, I'll offer hand drawn, carefully made artwork of your dragon characters in exchange for eggs I really don't think I can get on my own. These artworks will be delivered through PM or email. How It Works 1. In the second post I will offer a particular type of art in exchange for particular number of eggs on my wish list. The art types I will offer are: Ruby Rough Black and white lineart, plus one color for markings with gradient background. Price: Uncommon eggs, or high gen lineaged eggs. Example: Just for fun, here's its egg: Sapphire Sketch A full color lineart drawing of a hatchling or simply designed dragon. Price: Uncommon eggs, or lower gen lineaged eggs. Example: Just for fun, here's its egg: Just for fun, here's its egg: Emerald Effigy A full color drawing of an adult or complex dragon. You can choose to include either one extra character, or a background of your choice. OR only one super complex character with a background of your choice. Price: Rare eggs, or low gen hard-to-find lineages. Example: Coming Soon... Diamond Drawing This art type is a Ref Sheet. One character of any complexity will get a side view, a close up of some feature, a wingspan or second close up, and an item or companion animal. Captions will be included but the creator of the character will have to supply these. These may take longer to create because of all the parts that need to be arranged. Therefore, I may request the egg trade up front! Price: Rare eggs and hard-to-get lineaged eggs only. Example: Coming Soon... *Size of the picture will differ depending on the design of the dragon and the info that needs to be included. 2. If you're interested in my end of the trade, fill out a Trade Offer Form (below) and post here with a link to your scroll and the egg or eggs you're offering. The eggs you offer must be on the wish list I give, because that's the egg I'm willing to spend hours on artwork to trade for. 3. The first person who has the egg(s) I'm looking for will be sent a PM with a simple form to fill out. This will ask for character details and what address or PO Box to send it to, if you wish to be sent your illustration. I am willing to ship internationally because it's just paper! I'm in the USA, by the way. 4. I'll close the thread until I'm ready to open it again with a new request. I'll have about 3 - 4 days to complete your artwork (before the egg hatches!) and then I'll photograph it or watermark it so you can see it's done. I'll send the preview to you in PM along with a request for a Trade Link for the egg. Please provide the Teleport, but please let me know if you don't have a Magi dragon, I'd be happy to breed one or catch one for you, or use one of mine to send you a free Magi egg. 5. Finally, I deliver the final artwork to you through PM or email. Rules I will not accept trades from players who do not follow the procedure above! Please read. I will only draw dragons and other fantasy creatures at this time, but I'll draw any type of feral fantasy creature you can think of. I will consider aliens, because I love alien species. No furries, mermaids, humans, real life critters, cars, robots, trees, etc. I will draw Drag Cave dragons if the artist has given permission for people to draw fanart for their species. I will only draw one character per artwork, and might include a prop (branch, nest, sceptre, etc). I will not draw backgrounds. I will not reserve slots - I only have one and will only do one at a time, and only when I make a request for a trade. I'm doing these for my enjoyment, your enjoyment, and for some eggs I'll never get otherwise. I already have a full time job! I will not always open the thread when I'm finished with the previous artwork. I will only open it when I have the time and inclination to put the effort into an art piece. I do not take requests and do not take commissions or do collabs. I do not accept payment from other games. This is purely DragCave fandom business. I never disclose addresses, or save them. That said, I will only send artwork in the mail if you are an adult with a work address, and addresses will only be asked for in private email. Do NOT post your address in this thread! I do not have a DeviantArt anymore, but all artworks will be added to a personal portfolio for 2014. Artworks from this thread will not be reproduced in prints or otherwise, and not sold. All characters will be credited to the person who they belong to on the back of the art piece, and named in the title of the PDF file on my thumb drive. Terms Simple: Don't claim the art piece was done by you, don't trace, don't post anywhere online except Drag Cave and your DeviantArt, do not sell prints of them, do not resell the picture to someone else, or otherwise do not steal my artwork. It's someone else's character, but my hands that made it. Please respect it! You may crop/resize for avatars and signatures, and you may scan your drawing when you get it and post it to your DA or other gallery, but please credit NightSky@The Drag Cave Forums and link to this thread, if only out of courtesy. I'd be more than happy to offer a CB egg of a species you don't have. But, besides that, I absolutely love your work! Posted March 30, 2014 Great, but before I send the form in, may I ask a question? Would you prefer to work on a DC dragon or an OC dragon? I'm not sure you care or not, but I do know some artists prefer to work on DC characters while others just like to do non-DC dragons. Share this post Link to post
