Pokemon: Legends Revolt - OOC Thread

Recommended Posts

Hmm... no. Wrong. Also, the RP example is the future, so Cynthia isn't the champion. I couldn't think of another region to choose. Here's a hint, look at the colors. Also, gotta go! Laundry's done! Be back in 30 or so.

EDIT: Back. I will get right to reading the previous posts, as well as writing my own. Now a very important question... where is the starting town, Nut Town? I don't see it on the map, nor do I see a post describing where it is. I am assuming it is the blue dot on the very right, with Pring Town being the red dot it leads to? Or is it the area above the red dot? Wherever it is, is it okay if my character gets here by boat?

At first I thought it had something to do with the Premier Ball hat, but that hint made it almost too obvious. Red, blue, and green text. Very thematic.

I don't mind if everyone calls me TUM, or Mage. Either works!

You are very close TUM, it actually does have something to do with all of what you said. Oh, and Ryu, check my previous post, I edited before I noticed TUM posted.

@greenking13 - Well, if it isn't Red, Blue, Green or D/P/Plat I have no clue who he is blink.gif

And no, But Town is the red dot with only one entrace, to the north. The only way to get there is coming from Pring Town. And in turn Pring Town can be accesed through the city to its right, the one on the coast? It is a nameless city, for now, and it is accesed via plane or boat so, it is your call how you wat to get there, but if you go by boat, you'll have to have gotten to the region a couple days back just so you could make it to Nut Town in time.

Edit: I'll be adding Numbers to the Towns and Cities as we move so we don't get lost.. again xd.png

Oh, wait. You're right then. It is Red, Blue, and Green. (Green is the ref, blue is Lance, and red is my char.) I got slightly bored writing that so I did that. Hmm, maybe I will make it so that he has traveled for a few days. Now to go make a post!

EDIT: Oh, and But Town. Very nice.

By the way Ryu, sorry to push you, but do you have the next pokemon choices generated yet? Florent is itching to get started. xd.png

Also, do you mind if I doodle on your map a bit? I always like to guess which locations are what. tongue.gif

Lol it is Nut Town, not Butt xd.png But yeah, I guess I forgot to do that, name them, give me a few minutes and I'll edit that.

@TUM - yes I have, I'm writing the resply rigth now, but I keep stalling it as others are replying as well, so I have to edit it before posting. I'll be done in a few minutes and so you can choose your starter.

Wow, what a...Main Character-y sort of guy.

But yeah, just call me Pi. Or whatever else you want. This username was an awful choice to be honest.

Still doing math but I'll write something up soon.

Alright, first post is up, and yes, it is slightly OP, but I figured that if Xander has been traveling since he was about seven years old, he has a lot more experience with pokemon than most starting trainers. Plus, this has happened before. (Just not an ursaring.)

It's perfectly fine with me Green if you trainer knows who Larien is smile.gif

It doesn't surprise me one bit. I've missed rping with you. You add an extra flare that doesn't come by often in style... which pry sounds weird.... anyways, it's supposed to be a compliment xd.png

Same here DH, but the 7 projects, 13 essays, 200 history homeworks (Not that much of an exxageration sadly), 3 afterschool clubs, SAT training, the SAT itself, plus I just got a small job, it's been tough getting on.

Also, random topic. Has anybody else taken the SAT? If so, how did you do? My estimated score is supposed to be a 1700-1900, but I haven't gotten my actual score yet. (And slightly terrified as a result. Plus, I'm trying to beat my friend, the perfect stereotype of an asian.)

I got like a 1590 or something like that on the second try.... that time I unfortnately had felt like I was going to die -quite literally- by a high fever due to being in the third floor of my school, with no airconditioning, during both days where it was 85+F with the windows shut and no air movement...

air movement would have saved me. But instead I forced my way through both days of the test (I've taken it twice if I haven't mentioned that) and my results dwindled because of it...

My first was 1650 or around there.

I'm working on my response Green smile.gif people keep challenging me to battle on Pokemon Y though... and I've been loooking for people like that all day xd.png

(I've realized my tablet likes putting in both when I don't mean it to.... ....thank you spacebar for not working properly from time to time to cause that)

Ah, the SATs. When I took them last year, I just barely landed past 2000 -- 2020, to be exact. It was kind of lucky, since my practice scores were in the 1900s. cool.gif

Though sadly, I haven't heard from any colleges I've applied to. I guess they look at Canadians last or something.

I'm not from the US, so I don't know what SATs are... I've heard about them, but I don't know what they are.

SAT is a form of test, which are pretty crucial to get into a college in the United States. It is on a 2400 scale, meaning 0 is you didn't put your name on it, and 2400 being super perfect. It is divided into three section, Writing, Critical Reading, and Math, with each sections having 3-4 different sections. Each section is timed, with the most being like 25 minutes, and the least being 10 minutes. There is one essay in there, which is counted as a writing section.

Most colleges here don't count the writing section, but only the Reading and Math. Like the college I am trying to get into requires a 1200 score(?). I have a small competition with a few of my friends about who will have the best score, currently, the bets are all on my asian friend who is technically able to tutor me in any math class (Which I happen to be one of the best in my school. Put that into perspective.)

The test is evil. Just understand that. It has literally forces my friends and I to stay up all night studying for it.

Anyways, when I get to the lab section, I am going to be writing a small tidbit about the machine, he will be curious about the way it works.

Interesting... We don't have that here in my country. The most is the entrance exam for college, which is in my opinion... too easy. It is based on 1600 and I, being the lazy person I am, didn't studied, at all, I even got there late and scored 1500... but to be honest, I might just be a freak of nature, I tend to do the same thing now and I'm studying engeneering, so, I might just be odd. Specially when coming to think about it several people (about 2/5 of the attendants) don't pass the exam, and you only need to score like 800 to pass it. It might as well mean my country's education level isn't that high :s I really hope that's not why unsure.gif

Also, I'm off right now, will return in a few hours but... I have an exam tomorrow and I have to at least read something. I'll reply when I'm back.

Whoaaa. I missed quite a bit. My country doesn't have sats either. We have a PSLE, or: 'Primary school leaving examination' At primary six. And then we go to either express stream, or normal stream in secondary school. In express, we study for four years and take an exam called the 'O levels' In secondary four. For normal stream, they take the 'N Levels' in secondary 4, followed by the O levels in secondary five. After that, there's a point system.

A1= 1 point

A2= 2 points

B3= 3 points

and so on. The less points you have, the better.

(Sorry about the short post length! It looked much longer when I was typing it. The boxes are misleading..)

I feel so young... I've just finished my Upper Level SSATs to get into a better school (my current one is crap)... I've tried the SAT reading comp before, but never the full thing... my sister's a genius though, she got around 2130 on her SATs. So, yeah.

P.S. I can't seem to transfer my old Pokemon from my old Gameboy Color to my DS, how does that work?

You can't transfer pokemon between Gen 2 and Gen 3, if I remember right. The gameboy games aren't compatible with games from Ruby/Sapphire onward.

Name: Kaiser

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Personality: Kaiser appears as a serious person when first metting him. Although he seems serious, he is a very relaxed guy, specially when it comes to pokemon, he treats every pokemon with respect, caring for pokemon more than he does for other people sometimes. Although he tends to act serious a even distant with people when first met, this quickly changes when someone earns his trust and friendship, going to even risk his life for his friends. He is however, excited about pokemon battles, no matter who his opponent is, he would rarely miss the chance of having a pokemon battle. Although he hates loosing, he would surrender to a battle if he sees his or his opponent's pokemon are in danger.

Affiliation: Trainer, Gym Leader Aspirant

History: Kaiser is a Dragon Type pokemon enthusiast sinc ehe was a littel boy. Being native to the Broskii Region he had heard stories about Dragon Type pokemon all his life, only getting him more excited about them. Having grown up with his best friend in Nut Town, both decided they would become strong pokemon trainers, each with their specific goals in life, his friend to become a pokemon master, collecting and raising the strongest pokemon he could while Kaiser wanted to become a Dragon Type specialist, and one day to run a Dragon Type specialized Gym. When they were 10 and ready to start their journey, both kids turned down the opportunity, aiming to learn as much as they could from pokemon to achieve their goals. A few years later, his friend felt he was ready to start his journey and took his chance. Kaiser on the other hand remained at Nut Town, taking a job at Porf. Pine's Lab as his assitant, knowing there was no other person in the region to know more o pokemon than the professor, plus, this way he would be able to interact directly with Dragon Type pokemon, learning more of them this way that he did in the past few years. Now, after two years working under Prof. Pine, Kaiser decided he had learned all he could from this job and that he was finally ready to start his own journey.

Ryu, just letting you know, Night Shade would not have been afflicted by the Shrew's defense curl, as it does the exact same damage every time, like dragon rage
