Relaxing as his friend gave up her pompous demeanor, Minegi gave a snort of triumph at his supposed victory. It was quite clear that he hadn't won, and was just being stupid, but nonetheless, he felt a jolt of success that he expressed without any thought. Following Lion's lead, he dropped the prideful tone and boasting he had been using, and changed to a voice that resembled everyday talking more closely. "Now, to more serious matters... Our spies are reporting a planned assault, just a few days from now. You think they're right? There was a fight just a week ago. We haven't really recovered yet..." Dipping his head towards his webbed feet, he lost himself in thought, imagining possible strategies the tacticians could have created. He hoped the mages would be held back a bit. Despite his shameless bragging, his students weren't the most competent. Quite the contrary, most were beginners, and though they were quickly improving, it wasn't fast enough.

Quite oblivious to the Pillow's struggles with her leftover ink, Minegi absently turned, dwelling on his thoughts of ways to train his students. Thoughtlessly, he turned his long neck around to address Lion, but it was a rather toneless, expressionless invitation to go swim at a nearby lake with him. Without awaiting a response, he plodded towards the expanse of water, not quite noticing what his feet were doing. Instead, he focused entirely on training, and tactics he could use during future fights to best use each dragon's individual power to the best effect. He knew the base would be laid by tacticians, but it was always fair to deal with specifics and to create individual attacks that worked within the created format.

He continued walking towards the lake, assuming that Lion would follow. They would be back by the next meal, it wasn't a long walk. Soon, his thoughts faded, and he returned to the earth he stood upon. "Wait... You do like water, don't you Lion? I've forgotten...Are you even there?" He spun around, to see if his friend had been following. The unfortunate truth was that he wasn't sure, and was going to have to look around a bit to check. He would actually be quite fine if she had abandoned him. A tad annoyed, but he would get over it before he returned to the base. He wasn't in much of a swimming mood anyways.
