"Hello!" Felicia greeted the newest breed. He was a cat breed, a large one, not a small house cat like her. Not that it mattered to the nurse, to her, everyone was a snuggle buddy. She frowned as they went on and on about how bad it was in the lab. It wasn't very nice to scare the poor breed on his first day, plus it wasn't that bad. The scientist were gentle enough with Felicia. She had found out that struggling tended to get you more bruises.

"It's not that bad. Their get exaggerating. Just do what the scientist say, and you might even find some of them to be decent." She suggested in an effort to reassure the new breed. She turned to Phil, standing up.

"I can go help. Just asked really nicely, a smile helps to."

 

(Almost all the breeds are gathering for a game of cards. You can have your character stop by. If he knows anyone or not yet is completely up to you. I think.)

John

 

As John headed back to his 'quarters,' he noticed a large group of others gathered outside Lucian's cage. Curious, he walked over and saw that Lucian was locked up yet again.

"What's going on now Lucian?" John asked. "You didn't do anything to a scientist to get locked up, did you?"

Jake

 

All the data looked perfect to Jake, just as he expected. Equipment wise anyway. He wasn't so sure about the suit's bio-readings though. The suit was built to increase one's physical strength and speed, allowing the body to exert itself less, and yet do more. However, the effects it could have on someone was unknown, and he had no idea how to tell if it somehow stressed out John's body somehow. His doctorate was in physics after all, not bio. No, that was a job for a different scientist. With a sigh, Jake picked up his data pad and left his office in search of one of the DNA experts, or something of the sort in this isolated place.

Phill chuckled slightly shaking his head at the new breed "i guess the food is good and as long as your not bad they wont punish you but the experiments are painful and you cant talk your way out of them, believe me I've tried." He sighed looking at felicia before patting her head like he always did to people that he thought of as friends, as long as he thought they weren't the type to beat him up for it he would help and act in an almost playful manner towards anyone he knew. "Do you really think after them basically betraying me today by saying i was able to roam then trying to keep me caged i would ask them nicely for anything?'

Andy wandered around in his lab, he was allowed to run around freely and talk to other scientists, he was useful to them. He heated the copper up and then dropped it into his serum, he was now set and ready. He wasn't alone, two guards had gone into the lab when the alarm broke off, but Andy didn't really mind, they didn't bother him.

 

Soon, he retired to the cells still in his lab coat, he could see other Breeds hanging around Lucian's cell, he hadn't interacted with the other breeds much, of course they knew each other, even when he was still Human, but he enjoyed talking about sciency stuff with the sciency scientists.

 

Andy hobbled over to the group reluctantly, "Hey guys, what's up?" He whispered in a very mellow voice, hoping nobody would notice him.

Shasta appeared out of no where behind Andy, wrapping his arms around him in a hug. "Andy!" He said happily, loving the nice weather. He released Andy as quickly as he had hugged him and squirmed his way into the circle of the group.

"Hi guys, whatcha all doing?" He asked cheerily.

"Shasta!" Felicia purred happily, making her way over to him and giving him a bold hug. "Phil, Mina and me where just going to get tape for our ruined cards, because their ruined. Afterwards, we're playing Yuker. Wanna play?" The cat breed asked, looking up at the tall snake breed eagerly.

"Huh, I've never played that game before." He said, pondering is options. "How do you play it?" He asked, patting her on the head. He looked at her thoughtfully for a moment before saying "You're really short."

"Me either. I used to play Go Fish with my siblings. That and memory were the only card games I knew how to play. I'm sure Mina can explain though." Felicia assured him happily. She purred when he pet her head, but it died in her throat when he pointed out how small she was, a bit of a sore spot to the small cat breed. Her eyes narrowed, "Its not my fault. Before I was born, nutrients stopped coming to my body so it decided to divide the remaining nutrients it had to functions that needed it so that I would live. Height wasn't one of them. I was suppose to get medication for it, but my mom couldn't afford it. It's to late now."

Phill chuckled walking up to the small cat breed ruffling her hair and shaking his head "beside's height isn't all its cut out to be,i might be taller than her but i sure wouldn't want her to be mad at me, like my life too much. honestly short or tall its how she is and she has no reason to be insecure about it, honestly i see no need you would ever need that medicine, and after what we went through i'd be afraid to see you take any medicine like it." He brought his hand off her head and rested it on the glass cage while looking between kitty and Mina "you two ready to see if asking nice really works?"

Lucian just shook his head as he watched what was happening on the outside of his cell. Moving the notebook a bit he then wrote, ' Anyone else that we should expect anyone else to join in here in front of my cell?' He then shook his head as he held it up to the glass before he then looked to the others once more.

John

 

John picked up the sheet of paper and laughed softly.

"I was just wondering what was going on Lucian." He said. "Was on my way back from equipment testing and saw the crowd. Wasn't sure what was going on so I came over to ask."

Jake

 

After searching for some time, he could find no one to help him. They were either all busy, or just too stuck up to do anything. He knew that if he could find Rebecca, she could probably help, but she was nowhere in sight. As he looked, he happened upon a group of breeds around a cell. He was about to go a different way, when he noticed that the cat breed, Felicia, was in the group. Jake never interacted with her all that much since she never really suited any of the contraptions he came up with, but he remembered reading in her portfolio that she used to be a nurse. Maybe she could help. However, she was in the middle of the group, and Jake didn't really feel comfortable around groups. Plus, a good majority of them being rather large because of their treatments didn't really help. It's not that they were breeds, as he saw breeds as equals, but there were just too many and too big. In an attempt to get her attention without joining the group, Jake attempted to get eye contact with Felicia and waved at her.

"Thanks Phil." Felicia purred, though it wasn't quite that big a deal. A waving scientist however, quickly caught in her field of vision. That was strange. Scientists, save for Rebecca always thought they were better then the breeds and never interacted with them. That particular one probably wanted her for an experiment. She gulped nervously, though she had defended the scientist, some of them were not to kind, and honestly, she was only just saying things to reassure the poor new comer.

"Umm... How about that one?" She asked, pointing to the scientist that was waving at her, when Phil asked who they should try to ask for a bit of tape. If the scientist wanted her, there was no point in trying to avoid it. She would have to go in for testing sooner or later.

Phill smiled gently as he heard the satisfied purr of falicia, he enjoyed hearing people happy. He looked at the person felicia pointed out and he pat her head once more before walking towards the scientist. He had let his fangs show the tiniest amount just to be a little protective as he approached. He let out a soft sigh "Mind telling me what you were waving for it seemed like you wanted Kitty, may i ask why because i feel that asking her isn't the way you guys usually get us for an experiment so please explain and maybe she will help, actually maybe ill not be as protective and let you get closer so you could talk to her but i really dont like people getting to close to my friends if they have been known to hurt us."

Hector peered over his glasses at Phill as he walked forward to talk to the scientist that wanted Felicia for something. His eyebrows shot up with concern, "Calm yourself Phill. He doesn't mean any of us harm", he said. He had talked to Jake a few times about the inter workings of the human mind when he had questions. He thinks it was Jake that let him borrow his old textbooks. He tended to stay in the lower levels in the labs while Hector stayed topside.

Lucian looked up to Phill before he then moved slowly to his feet. He then tilted his head as he scratched the glass to try to get his attention. He knew that there were a few of the scientists that were nice around here, but the rest were the evil scientists that had hurt them multiple times.

Phill sighed as he looked first at Hector, then Lucian. He nodded and walked back to where he was before leaning on the glass by kitty and he shook his head. Addressing Hector first he nodded "Alright hector ill stay calm, i haven't really met him before and when it comes down to people i know, people who through similarities and being put through similar circumstances have become my friends and really close to me i get protective. I am sure you know the feeling, as well as know that i am protective overall but i trust you, as well as you lucian." As he ended his sentence he looked at Lucian and nodded his understanding.

((Jake probably wouldn't have talked about the human mind like that. He's a physicist, not a biologist remember. If it's something tech related, he's your man.))

 

Jake

 

Jake looked up nervously at the white wolf breed in front of him. It seemed like he was trying to intimidate him, and it was working.

"Well, I uh..." He stuttered, before Hector and Lucian intervened.

Jake made a mental note in the back of his head to send more books Hector's way, and to see what he could do to slow down Lucian's increasingly frequent treatments.

"I... I'm terribly sorry to interrupt you," He said anxiously. "But I need to borrow miss Chantilly for a few moments. I'm not going to do anything to her, I swear! I just need her to aid me in some of my work."

"Jake is just fine." John added in. "I was just working with him earlier. He got me to test some of his new equipment for him. When it comes to genetics, he can't do a thing."

Felicia, felt flattered when Phil immediately stood up to defend her. However, she didn't want the wolf breed to get hurt, so she placed a hand on his shoulder, opening her mouth to tell him it was fine, just an experiment, she would most likely come out alive. However, the three male breeds spoke up, interrupting her with thoughts on how this scientist was one of the good ones. Well that settled that, you know it's true when three breeds tell you how nice a scientist is. The way this scientist shuddered and shook under Phil made her nervous though. The scientist seemed like a doormat. What if he was just fetching her for someone else? She was definitely over thinking things.

"Okay then..." Her voice came out as a whisper, but after hearing the tone of her voice, the cat breed instantly made it lighter and more cheerful, "Show me the way~"

Jake

 

"This way please." Jake said before turning around and leading her towards his office.

"I'm not going to need too much of your time." He said while they walked. "I just need someone who can look over some medical data for me. I heard that you used to be a nurse, so I was thinking that you could help."

Phill smiled softly and nuzzles her hand before taking her hand off chuckling. Phill was a little comprehensive, He trusted the others but him needing her alone was still upsetting to Phill. In Phills mind this scientist could easily betray them all when he had her alone. He stood and looked down sighing as he relaxed against the cage. He was protective but he looked like he gave up on being aggressive. He was slowly shaking his head as he looked over at the rest "im still not 100% on that scientist."

"It's okay Phil, I'm small, but I'm not helpless." Felicia mouthed to the worried wolf breed as she was lead away by the scientist. Following Jake silently, and nodding when he talked to her, she listened to their footsteps echo, hoping this would be fast like he promised. She was eager to get back to the comfort and safety of the others.

Phill chuckled softly at the words that kitty mouthed, He knew that the breeds were strong but having a sense of humor about it all? leave it to kitty to make him less apprehensive about them being separated. He stayed where he was after she left and took out the wood and began carving a snake out of the wood. He always got this way, that's why he had headphones and many statues he had carved from wood they gave him. He seemed weak to other people getting hurt yet he himself had a high pain tolerance. This point intrigued the scientists thus they would usually wait until another breed was being tested on before they brought him back and took off his headphones. The others wonder why i'm the way i am. they say its not that bad and that not all are bad, how can i trust them at all when it could so easily be a trick.

Andy stood still until the Cat Breed and the physician went away. And then gasped for air, Shasta's hug was extremely tight, making him cough. This is why he didn't hang out with other Breeds, they were always too friendly or too aggressive or something like that. He stared at the other Breeds and made an effort to socialise.

 

"So, did anybody see the game last night?" Then he smacked his forehead, none of them had been outside in the Human world for ages, even him; his legs quaked nervously, hoping none of them were offended.

Jake

 

"Please, come in." Jake said, as the door to his office opened.

The room was painted all white, with a few misshaped gadgets strewn across the surface of a table in the center of the room. As he entered though, Jake headed over to a table in the back corner that held a computer and stacks of paper. Paperwork was a nightmare here. Going around the desk, he sat down at the chair and pulled up the medical data from the armor test.

"Here, please sit." Jake said gesturing to his chair as he stood up again. "If you could please look over the medical information here and tell me of any abnormalities that would be great."
