Breeding plans and ideas for the Grave dragons

Hey!

What are your ideas for partners for the new Halloween Dragons?

I'm thinking about Ember, Seasonal (Auttum) and maybe Harverst...

And for creating something "rarer", maybe Magma...

What are your ideas?

Grave x Ember is my favourite combination so far.

 

 

But I also like green Copper and Lumina:

 

 

 

 

 

Black of course fits everything (though I think Ember fits even better in this case), and some people mentioned Blusangs. I don't have enough CB Blusangs to try that but it could be nice:

 

 

 

 

 

A pairing I'm not sure about yet but might try is Tangar:

Maybe I'll try the first two together, to get a Nebula/Hellfire lineage with Graves in the start gen.

Here are my thoughts for the Grave Dragons:

 

I have a "Halloween Lineage" from a few years back with a pattern of Embers, Shadow Walkers, and Magi -- I'm super excited to make a complementary lineage with Graves!

Golden Wyverns are looking very nice, but the Golds aren't, I think. Too cold colour.

The Lumina combination is lovley!

I agree -- I figured people might want to see it with Gold and Silver, since metallic checkers are so common, but Silver doesn't remotely go well with it; Gold might at least work for some people.

 

I am SO pleasantly surprised by the Seragamma Wyvern match! My top picks right now are Ember, Lumina, Golden Wyvern, Magma, Magi, and of course Seragamma. <3

i think theyd definitely look best with warmer-colored dragons, in any case. they look great with embers and magmas especially!

I think that Embers are my favorite pairing, although I also like Magma, Magi, Seragamma, and Black Stripe. I'll probably breed mine with Embers first, and maybe come up with a better project later if I decide I want to include them in anything.

Oooh, I REALLY love the tangar pairing. I haven't been that impressed with most pairings yet, but I LOVE that one.

 

I don't think that they look that good with luminas to be honest. Something about their coloration just doesn't look good with them, at least compared to other pairings.

Am I the only one who finds this breed rather tricky to combine? White breeds don't work that well for me because that would be too little contrast for my taste, but the colors of most "darker" breeds kind of clash with the orange in their wings.

Ember x Grave and Seragamma x Grave are the two combos that look most promising to me. Another pairing I'd like would be Frill x Grave, but with Frills being discontinued, I don't see much of a future for this. Except for PB lineages with a Frill base, but I'm not sure whether I'd want to wait all year to add another generation.

I might do something with Trihorns though. Hmmm...

I like Magma, Hellfire (both), Ember (both), Electric (female electric... I've never really liked the male sprite), Gold (female), Stripe (only if they produce white striped offsprings...) I'll decide when they can actually breed. o:

Grave x Tombstone would be a fitting theme for this dragon.

 

Serragamma is a nice one actually.

 

Haven't seen anything that super impresses me yet. These ones are tricky.

The Crimsons look sooo good with so many others, and the Graves are no exception. i don't see them with the Luminas, or any of the pink breeds. They need colors with a sharp clarity, and the pinks, Luminas and soft blues won't cut it. No to the Blusang combo too, and I don't think Royal Blues will work either. The Graves need real color to stand up to them.

 

My first choices are the Embers, the Magis and the Magmas. Black, White, the Stripes, especially Red and Black, Hellfires all look good. Has anyone tried Stones, Sunstones or Tsunamis? Those might go well, and I think I like them with Summers. Maybe Autumns, but Springs and Winters don't seem to do anything for them. I like them with Hellhorses too, especially the males. That would be a very interesting checker to work out, and the temperament of those two breeds? Watch out!

I'm really diggin' the idea of pairing them with Black, Brimstone, or Embers. Hellfires, Moonstones, Red Nebulas and Seragamma Wyverns appeal to me a lot too. CX

I've never been a huge fan of male hellfire, magma, or ember, but I'm thinking I might be changing my mind as they all look fantastic with the Graves.

Ooh Tombstones would be amazing. Very fitting as well. Have to mark that one down too. ^^

Hm, it looks interesting but I think the magmas x Grave don't look /as/ good.
