Posted October 27, 2013 (edited) HOGWARTS HOUSE LINEAGE This is actually a revamp of an old lineage I scrapped a long time ago before the very, very long hiatus I took from DC. The concept is simple, there will be four initial lineages, one for each of the houses. Each house has 6 breeds to chose from; 3 commons, 2 uncommons and 1 rare. As the lineages grow I may add more available breeds, and even house crossovers. But let’s keep it simple for now! I’m trying my best to stick to the colour schemes of the houses which is where my choices came from, and there’s not always a lot of options. I tried to pick breeds that didn’t have multiple colour options. RULES Gonna try and keep these as simple as possible! + House lines have to stay to their breeds. Gryffindor lines can only be bred with Gryffindor breeds for example. + Any cross breeding into an established line will not count towards that lineage. If you breed a Hufflepuff with a Ravenclw on a Hufflepuff line, the offspring will belong to neither house. + Offspring must have their house name as a suffix. They do not have to follow the Lady/Lord naming of the original breeding pair. All offspring from any breeder must be named regardless + Gifting back to the line is not required but it is always appreciated + Please do not kill, neglect or bite a House egg. We want to keep this line going as long as possible! + No inbreeding. + Do not abandon the eggs/hatchings you don't want anymore, either return them to their original scroll owner, or pass it along to someone else on the lists. + When breeding the dragons, please try and breed them with CB’s or lineage’s of equal length that match the house (that might get a little tricky) Not a strictly to be followed rule but it’ll keep your lineages looking nice. + You can mix lineages with other projects if it fits in for both lineages Feel free to ask any questions you may have! Posted October 27, 2013 (edited) FAQs Q: Can I request a dragon from all four houses at once? A: I encourage everyone to request a dragon from each house, I'm all about house unity! However, to be fair to everyone, I'm going to limit eggs to one house request at a time, you may only receive an egg from another house after the first has hatched and gendered or matured fully. Q: Does it matter what kind of lineage we continue with after we get an egg? A: The only goal to this lineage is to be able to track all offspring back to the starting pair. If you want to continue on with spirla, checkered, even gen, etc. lineages, feel free to! Just keep the rules of your breeders and this lineage in mind when doing so Q: Can I get more than 1 egg from a house, ie. I have 1 2G Gryffindor egg and request another once it's grown? A: Of course! Since there's no set lineage style to continue you can get multiple eggs of the same gen to do different lineages. You could start a spiral with one dragon, or a stair step with another, etc. If the project gets bigger and there are more people on the waiting list I may limit how many eggs from a specific generation each user can have, but in the mean time feel free to request another egg from a house you already have! If so, then I'll also make three more requests~ If it isn't, I'll just stick to Ravenclaw (I always end up in that house, anyway). Oh, and I only have a few spots open for eggs right now so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to free some space (after my Lurkers hatch, I'll have three spots open). It is possible to request a dragon from all four houses, but in the spirit of fairness I'm going to limit it to wait until the previous house you requested has grown into an adult. Thanks for reminding me, I'll add a FAQs section and put that there. Seeing as I have a Gryffindor and Hufflepuff available, would you like one of those first or would you prefer to wait for the Ravenclaw? Share this post Link to post

Posted October 28, 2013 If anyone is interested in Hufflepuff house I have a pillow hatchling for the line, I had to hatch the egg because it was really ER but it is up for the taking! Also due to the Halloween event I may wait a bit to breed my dragons again just to prevent scroll locking. However you can still request an egg for after the halloween event! Now that the halloween event is over and the eggs are all starting to hatch and I'm no longer scroll locked, I'm going to start breeding the dragons and giving out eggs. It'll also help to have more members in the lineage as well! And remember, if it doesn't matter which house you want, or you want all and don't specify one over the others you'll be sorted into the most convenient house at the moment. Posted January 19, 2014 Okay this thread all but died but I would like to revive it. I'm going to message those on the breeding lists currently and attempt to breed the dragons involved. I will be working on banners as soon as I'm on my home computer. Of course I always accept banner made by other members!
