Posted January 11, 2014 Yep. ^-^ Purple is my favorite color, so I can't wait to see the end result~ I was thinking about it, and after I'm done with the purples, I think I'll do single-color lines for the rest of the rainbow. c: Only problem will be finding two more orange breeds to match with Magis. Not to bite, neglect, kill, or inbreed (further even gen breeding would be awesome, but not "required") Regifting is fine, but abandonment is rather a waste.  My lineage plans: Create monochromatic groups then breed them together in a rainbow fashion to produce higher generation even-gens.  Combinations I'm thinking about... the dimorphism (and the late hour) challenging me at the moment ...alternative breed combo suggestions welcome...  A picture is worth 1000 words (or more) - this image illustrates the list below. Posted January 19, 2014 (edited) Who would have thought getting a green egg would be so hard. After a whole string of Stones and Geodes (that possibility didn't occur to me when I set this up ) I finally got what I need. http://dragcave.net/lineage/gAW6f  Thought this would be quick since the Stone x RC half was already done.  My Pygmy #2 lineage is also giving me a hard time getting dragon #14 -- I keep getting Seawyrms or nothing instead of Pygmy. Posted January 20, 2014 (edited) Wow, new people! Howdy ya'all! There are some exciting projects in the works, can't wait to see these evolve.  dragonpuck that tangar/magi combo was fabulous. I didn't have space at the time and I see it's gone now, but wow! Very eye catching.  purplehaze - duly noted about stones and greens. 0_o I was actually wondering about hybrid odds with them, considered them for a project but discarded the notion due to the unknown factor.  I think I might finally be back on track for projects again . . . sorta. I've been fighting my albino x whiptail pair for a while now, used to be they only gave me whips but since the year rolled over they've been giving me nothing. Ominous at best. Olives breed like maniacs compared to albinos. I can't do anything for the first pair since they're a later gen, but I traded out CB olives for greens and got a success! Apparently my lady albinos prefer Madona's music over olive puns. Wish they'd sent out a memo instead of olive the agony they put me through up to this point. haha! /shot  The albinos are so going to get me back for that, I can feel it . . . I'm curious if a resting period really heightens the chances or if TJ said that jokingly... Â Does anyone have experience with other hybrids? I had a couple that was producing Stones reliably for a while and then just stopped being in the mood altogether - no egg in months. So I stopped breeding them overall for a year or so, and now they are producing again I also have another shiny that produces Waters very reliably. I do switch her watery partners every now and then as you can see in her progeny listing, and so far I haven't gotten a "no interest" or "no egg" yet from her. It also took me ages to get 1 shiny from her, but that's another story  Does anyone have experience with other hybrids? Might have to do with the mysterious ratios: many Stones and Pebbles are already in the cave. Hellhorses, Ultraviolet: Maybe up to 1/2 of the time, probably less. I didn't try for a lot of Ultraviolets yet, but both Purple and Spitfire have a rather high population in the cave already. Blunas, Goldfish: Maybe up to 1/4 of the time? Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) thanks guys  looking for new combos I found these: sunstone x red nebula and hellfire x sunstone  not much of a challenge as I had both 3rd gens but I needed easy with all the lousy breeding of late   4th gen sunstone Your use of hellfires and red nebulas is wonderful!  I finally figured out that you were the one with the other amazing lineage with embers. I had asked about it in the even-gen thread, and didn't get any answers - now I know why!  so how would you put all 4 together, I wonder? I may try that, they all look so fantabulous together  Regarding the "resting the dragons" theory: there may be technical reasons why that is supposed to work, like if they're programmed that way. But - there's always a "but" - I tried it and it didn't do one dang bit of good.  Dragons are just gonna do what they want, and I don't think any amount of coding will ever be 100%. Â I haven't been able to move forward at all - the seragammas still only produce seragammas, and the single pair in each of the other lineages, still produce the wrong breed or no egg. Posted January 25, 2014 (edited) do you think maybe because someone breeds a ton of mints regularly? because it is very odd, unless for some reason it's the brimstone/mint combo that's skewed somehow. actually I had heard that guardians were the hard ones to get???  see how long it takes--- if you are looking for 2nd gens ask 42 to breed one  I plan on that with the Waverunner x mint half- of mine  my issue may be that I only have 2 pairs of each so I can't really switch around much but It looks like no-one is having luck.The ratios are really skewed these days  i still need a harvest from turpentine female- but I truly believe they are secret seasonals and I may have to wait 'till Fall   @ daba555 did you want a sibling?
