Posted November 5, 2016 UPDATE I am going to begin working on updating banners today!!! I finally got Photoshop on my new laptop. Yesssssss I'm also going to be completely overhauling all the codes for the banners because I'm changing the image hosting from Photobucket to Imgur. Hopefully Imgur will be better as it is more popular and reliable for image hosting and the URLs for the images are shorter than Photobucket URLs. Stay tuned everyone! This thread is being revived! Posted November 7, 2016 (edited) Oh man that blue egg banner goes on forever I usually use the forums a bit zoomed in (150% view because yay blindness) and it stretches the post haha. I'd love to see a tiered banner for some of the longer ones where the gradient still goes from left to right, but across 2 lines of eggs. Cuts the width of the banner by half that way. Not an official request or anything...I guess just take it as a suggestion? Otherwise, nice update! The blue banner in particular was... problematic. Because after I had finished it and saved it, I discovered I had missed 2 blue eggs that needed to be in it... and being the idiot I was, I didn't have a WIP .psd file... so I had to do the entire thing all over again from scratch. UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH But I have a .psd file of it NOW, so I actually could make a less horizontally long blue version. If I'm understanding your idea properly, you're suggesting to divide the banner into multiple rows with a dark to light gradient going not only from left to right, but also top to bottom? So the darkest egg would be in the top left, and the lightest on the bottom right? I imagine it in equal length rows so it'd be more like a gradient cube. A pyramid would be different. For a pyramid, I would personally put the lightest egg on the top and then have the rows of eggs get darker going down and with the gradient going light to dark- lighter eggs being on the left and the dark ones on the right. If I do something like this, it will likely be applied to the Blue, Green, Autumn, Grayscale, and Variant Eggs banners. edit: Also thanks for complimenting the pygmy banner. I created a couple samples of possibilities here. I'd have to do some math to figure out exactly how big the graphic will end up being if I do it in either of these fashions. Like how many eggs per row I'd need to make in order for the more square/rectangular approach to be the most ideal size for signatures. The longest banner- the blue one- has 34 eggs, which is a nice even number easily divisible. The green has 26- also easily divisible. But the autumn banner has 21 eggs. The grayscale has 25. The egg variant has 33, but once I remove Xenowyrms from it, it'll have 27- which is quite an awkward number to evenly divide up. I'll have to think on it, but here's some base swatch examples of two possible methods I could use. Each example uses the same number of swatches of the same colors as well. But no matter how I copy and paste, all or part of the URL thingy, I get no pretty eggs, just a line of code. What do I need to do? I want my blue egg banner back, thanks. Make sure you don't have more than 10 image in your sig. The sig won't let you have any more. It doesn't look like you do though, so. What you can do to put the eggs set is right click the image, and then click "Copy image address." That will give you a link to the image it self that you can paste in to you sig by right clicking and pressing "Paste" or pressing Ctrl and V when editing the sig box. Once, the image is in, you can click on the image and that will bring up a window that will allow you to add the link to the image. OR when you copy the code below and paste into the edit sig area: >[url=https://forums.dragcave.net/index.php?showtopic=155277][img=https://i.imgur.com/18ifs7J.png][/url] Make sure you click the little black bar that pops up and says "Paste as plain text instead." As for the future of the other banners...? Certain colors just have so many eggs that the banners would be too long. I think I will create banners with new eggs, but I'll enforce a length limit.
