Yellow-Crowned and Red-Finned Breeding Plans

Recommended Posts

I may make a stairstep or spiral with Yellow-Crowned x Bleeding Moon. Eventually.

How did I know you were going to pop in and say something like that? laugh.gif

Because pairing things with Sweetlings is my favorite pastime...

I am really liking the Alt X Tidal and Reg X Yellow-Crowned. But Reg X Tidal isn't too bad either. *grabby hands* I wish I had CB Sweetlings to breed with. sad.gif

Derp, I'm so predictable d: I'm still going to do it! As long as the Yellow-Crowns will cooperate, of course. First two breedings didn't give me even a fail egg. :c

Oh and Tidal x Deepsea may work. Or Ice. http://dragcave.net/lineage/6Zzlo Misbred, I thought it's CB, but if you ignore the starting pair...

Has anyone tried a Red-finned X Skywing combo? And do you think we could get a Bluna from said combo?

No, because bluna's were made to match specific dragons. There was a suggestion a while back to add a few parents to breed to get a bluna, parents which people thought matched the bluna, and TJ shot down because it seemed more that we were sticking characteristics onto the dragons to match the bluna than the dragons actually having similarity.

If the artist had engineered the red fins around this, perhaps they would be added, but I feel if that was the case it might have been discovered by now. =p

Does anyone else find that red-finned tidals are just ridiculously prolific? I decided to start a sunstone checker (which shouldn't be horribly skewed ratio-wise) and I'm just getting nothing but tidals. I started counting when it started to feel annoying, and I'm currently at 1 sunstone to 96 tidals O.o.

http://dragcave.net/progeny/rjgIh <- the one pair that's actually given me a sunstone (forgot which one it was, which is why it has a couple tidals after that)

I haven't been breeding tidals much, but, yeah, as one of the newer-ish breeds, they're all like that (royal crimsons, yellow crowns, black tips, black teas...). I wanna try a yellow crown x sunstone checker, but I'm not going to work too hard for a sunstone yet. Trying to stick to checkers with only newer breeds so as to experience less frustration (for example just bred for a black tea x black tip checker and for a yellow crown x black tip checker. Besides the refusals, I just got a black tip egg for each and a black tea and yellow crown, so I'll be able to breed third gens for each checker). I'm also aiming for an eventual black tea x pebble checker. After about a dozen black teas, I resorted to trying to trade. Overall, I had dozens of couples tried for me and dozens of black teas produced. There was one pebble produced but from the wrong gender for my checker. I thought trying with a common breed would make it easier, but no such luck.

Sending you sunstone vibes, though!

I had the crazy idea of breeding a Tan RW x Tidal checker. I haven't even gotten a Purple RW so far, so the project is more or less on hold.

My PB Tidal project, on the other hand, is progressing quite fast. biggrin.gif
