Book Title:Thankless in Death

Author:JD Robb

Summary:Just before Thanksgiving, someone goes on a murder spree, keeping Eve busy when Roarke's relatives are expected for dinner, all the way from Ireland or something.

Rating: (optional)2/5

Review: (optional)This is one of the few Eve Dallas books I didn't enjoy much at all. The murderer and his motives are known from the first few pages, and he takes up too much space in the story. This would be okay if he were at all interesting, but he isn't. Roarke's relatives are boring, too. Soon Eve will fit into his family because she's become boring.

With the help of Herald-Chronicler Myste, a plot is eventually uncovered, but not soon enough to prevent the trouble: At the behest of an unknown person, the actor has been coaching a foreign prince to get Queen Selenay to fall in love and marry him. When the imminent arrival of an heir is announced, the Heralds realize that while a monarch of Valdemar must by law also be a Herald, there is no law stating that the regent for a minor child must be a Herald, and so once the heir was born, Selenay would be gotten rid of.

I've got a question: If I read a book in my native language and failed to translate its title and author's name into English, may I use other language here (only for title and author)?

@Shelybear: You don't need to translate the author's name, but for the title, you could do what other people are doing. Write the title that you read and then add a more or less accurate translation of it in brackets. It doesn't have to be perfect.
