Hi there, I'm wondering if you could make the cycler images deliver size information? Trying to change my sig with them (and only them) in it yields the following:

Unable to retrieve signature image dimensions for http://leviathan.thorngale.net/lunar/shoko.png, please try another image. and Unable to retrieve signature image dimensions for https://leviathan.thorngale.net/firegem/firegem.png, please try another image.

...argh, why did I not get an email about your message. Sorry for the late response!

I'll check out what I can do. A bit confused what it's expecting, honestly - the script is passing on the exact binary data from image files, including any dimension metadata. I'm guessing it wants some kind of HTTP header.

Whatever you or TJ did, I was able to update my signature with keeping the cyclers now :)

I hadn't gotten around to doing anything yet. Glad it works, though! Let me know if you end up having problems again.

If you noticed recent security warnings preventing you from accessing the site, I apologise, those should be fixed now.

There will be some downtime on the 17th October (Tuesday) at 2:00 AM UTC (evening hours of the 16th of October in the US), as the server is being migrated to a new host by the hoster. The site should return automatically after a while (estimated at a bit under an hour), but if it doesn't come back up after that time, don't panic - I'll attend to the machine as soon as I can. (If it's still down 24 hours after that and I haven't posted a reason for the delay, assume I was run over by a bus. XD)

Apologies for the short notice; I will be taking the site into maintenance mode shortly for a migration to a different host. I anticipate for everything to be done at latest around 21:00 CET (UTC+1). For reference, it is now 19:00 CET (UTC+1). I will update this post if it looks like a delay may happen.

I changed the DNS over as soon as basic functionality was available again - it may have taken a while for the change to propagate, but I suspect everyone has the new site now. Additionally, as of this post, everything should now work again.

From this minute onwards, if you encounter an error, it's likely something I'm completely oblivious to. Give me a shout if you notice anything amiss. :)

---

Edit: I spotted something in my error logs that looked suspiciously like it might have prevented registrations. If you're the person that was trying to register about ten minutes ago or thereabouts (01:30 CET / 00:30 UTC), try now?

Is it still doing that now? (I'll check it out again when I'm home this evening, no worries, but in case it works now that would be useful info.)

Edit: Home now! Managed to register. See if the fixes work for you?

Hello, pinkgothic! Merry Holidays and a New And Improved Year to ya!

Just wondering, (albeit sorry to pose questions on Christmas Day and all,)  are the previous day's Clicks still supposed to vanish in wee early hours? Mine didn't last 'night', and I've not been on much due to computer issues, so not sure what's due to that issue, although I did manage to test by protecting an egg caught this morning and it worked using the left-over Clicks, so now wondering and thought I'd mention, in case due to glitches, rather than this being just my computer and variably lousy connection. (Also, dunno if it's just lag, but with slow Clicking, most of mine don't seem to be registering right now.)

v_v Apologies to everyone: I probably did a manual reset just now due to Syphoneira's report (unless it really is broken). To compensate, I set everyone's daycount up by one. If you haven't been clicking, enjoy your free day. ;D

@Syphoneira

The rollover seems to be working fine, though, if the log is to be believed. Did my manual fumbling change anything for you?

Heads-up: There is going to be a downtime of maybe half an hour sometime between 2018-01-19 05:00 AM and 2018-01-19 07:00 AM CET (UTC+1) due to Meltdown/Spectre patches on side of my host.

This should only impact availability briefly and nothing else, but do give me a shout if something seems to be broken past that maintenance window.

Edit: This finished without any hitches, as far as I can tell. :)

What time are daily clicks currently resetting at (in cave time/EST)? I think that it used to be ~3AM, then ~12AM, but over the past two weeks I've noticed my count resetting a few times during the day, though I don't know when exactly. :/

I don't know offhand what time cave time it happens, but it happens at 3:00 UTC every day, and has been happening at 3:00 UTC every day the past week at least. If you notice your clicks going away at an unusual time, give me a shout, I can look into the logs and see what might be going on there for you.

Here are some technical details:

3:00 UTC is 22:00 EST. I tend to add things later in the day, so that's probably why I've been running into the rollover more often recently. |D Just have to keep a mental note of the time.

Thanks for answering~

How do I reset my password? The site is rejecting (what I think is) my password, but I don't see a way to reset it.

If you think it makes sense I can nudge it to a later time. I honestly just haven't thought much about when it runs. :)

I noticed there's still a reference to it being in the EST timezone from back when emmilely hosted DDF, though, so I went ahead and changed it to 08:00 UTC for now.

I currently don't have a way for users to reset their passwords if they've lost it, but I'll send you a PM with a temporary password shortly, you can then log in and change it.

Passing on a message from pinkgothic, there currently seem to be some name resolution issues preventing the API from being called. If the "Import eggs/hatchlings" option doesn't work or is lagging out for you, manually adding your codes will still work. The DNS issue should be resolved shortly.

Heads-up, it should work again, though the IP is currently hard-coded in the underlying system's settings. There seem to be some general DNS issues at the moment, see thread here:

Edit: The hard-coded IP has now been removed. Things seem functional again. :)
