Posted April 17, 2013 Ofttimes, italics are used as a literary device to show a character's thoughts, to show onomatopoeia, to show emphasis, as well as a few other effects. While thoughts can be expressed in quotations, and onomatopoeia need not be italicized, italics can make passages more interesting to read as, instead of a solid block of text, broken up only by paragraphs, some of the text is slanted. If it is possible to code, I for one would to see them implemented into descriptions. Now, this may be difficult to code, which is what I am worried about. Thoughts? Share this post Link to post
Posted April 20, 2013 I'd like this, it would definitely open up some new ground in descriptions. Share this post Link to post
Posted April 20, 2013 I wouldn't mind italics, it might be interesting in descriptions. And while we're at it, we need question marks too. >.> Share this post Link to post
Posted April 20, 2013 I would really like this. I've needed to emphasize a word a few times, and caps just feel a bit too much like shouting. Italics would be more subtle and interesting as well. Share this post Link to post
