Itallics in Descriptions

Recommended Posts

Ofttimes, italics are used as a literary device to show a character's thoughts, to show onomatopoeia, to show emphasis, as well as a few other effects. While thoughts can be expressed in quotations, and onomatopoeia need not be italicized, italics can make passages more interesting to read as, instead of a solid block of text, broken up only by paragraphs, some of the text is slanted. If it is possible to code, I for one would to see them implemented into descriptions. Now, this may be difficult to code, which is what I am worried about.

Thoughts?

I wouldn't mind italics, it might be interesting in descriptions. And while we're at it, we need question marks too. >.>

I would really like this. I've needed to emphasize a word a few times, and caps just feel a bit too much like shouting. Italics would be more subtle and interesting as well.
