Posted April 3, 2013 Boy, it sure is getting harder to think of new themes. This contest's theme is Memories What's something that has/always will have a significant hold in your heart? An old car, a picture of a beloved pet, a gift someone special in your life gave you, a place you used to visit as a child. Anything you hold dear to you that brings back fond memories of good times. Example: My dear Cleo, who had to be rehomed when I moved. She was the best cat in the world and always made me smile. I'll never forget her. Deadline: Wednesday, April 10th Rules: - One entry per person - Picture has to be made by yourself and can't be just a reproduction of someone's work. If someone else's work is in the picture, there needs to be something extra. - No manipulation besides basic photo adjustments (contrast, exposure, cropping, color balance, lighting, etc.) - No text or framing in the photo. A signature/watermark is just fine, but it's preferable if you don't have "O Hai Eye Hav3 T3XT" (or something similar) present in the photo. - When voting, please don't select your own image. This will ensure fairness. - You are free to submit an old photo; you don't need to take a new one just for this competition. Posted April 4, 2013 This picture reminds me of my most recent visit to the Baltimore Aquarium. I had a great time, and this picture was one I took right after lunch before heading back to the aquarium; I noticed the crab statue, and just had to take the photo, despite my sister's impatience and yelling at me to get back to the aquarium Share this post Link to post

Posted April 4, 2013 This reminds me of a couple years ago at a Ranch camp I went to for a week. It was wonderful. I used to go every year until I exceeded the age limit. My favorite horse of all time lived here. Her name is bird. This is a picture of me cantering on her. She and I were best friends. I miss her a lot. Share this post Link to post
Posted April 5, 2013 I think I'll enter this lamb. It reminds me both of this friendly little fellow itself (and the other animals hanging around there), but also the vacation I was on at the time, and other similar, lovely trips during summers ^^ Share this post Link to post
Posted April 6, 2013 Can't decide between: Where you can almost hear the voices of the people that lived in the cliff all those centuries ago (or maybe it was just the tour guide)... or Wherein BD71, being the bright (read: not so much) photographer she was, decided to try to get up close to the bull and take his picture with her cellphone camera. All was well, until said bright photographer stepped on a loose branch while hunkering down for the shot. Mr. Buffalo looked up from his grazing and held BD71 in his beady-eyed gaze for a full 30 seconds while she slowwwwwwwwwwwwwly crab-stepped backward. This was the moment when BD71 decided that there is something to be said for buying a camera with a telescopic lens. And also for not getting within a few hundred feet of a 1000lb. buffalo bull. (This is why there are warnings all over Yellowstone park about leaving the animals alone. ) Share this post Link to post
Posted April 7, 2013 I'm going to enter a picture of Heath. He's my sisters dog and I took this picture of him at the top of a mountain in Scotland where we were on holiday last year. That holiday was the first real time I'd ever spent with my sister and truth be told, before we went I was a little nervous we'd have nothing to say to each other. But I was wrong and we've become very close (I'm currently staying with her for a few days). Anyway, Heath and his pack mates were one of the reasons we went to Scotland (or away at all) so it's really down to him that all this happened... plus he makes my heart hurt with his handsomeness... https://i.imgur.com/D31NA2h.jpg And if you're wondering, he's not a husky.
