Worst lineages ever

Recommended Posts

Simple. Whatever has a "ML" ("Messy Lineage") and/or "IB" ("InBred") suffix in it's name - I'm not touching it - as long as a person who I give the egg to doesn't mind its lineage. And even though some messy-lineaged dragons have children now XD

Part of the reason for the messy lineages is because we didn't used to have a lineage page. So you either traced all your dragons back through the parent links and mapped it out or, as most people did, you didn't even think about it because who cared, you couldn't see it. xd.png

This is probably my worst: http://dragcave.net/lineage/LQE8

It's 12 gens of messiness long, and then you click the first gens and you find out that they're actually messy lineaged dragons, too. lol It has at least 60 dragons that appear multiple times, and that was only checking with the default setting because checking the whole lineage wasn't working.

But I do want to say that inbred isn't the same as bad lineage. I've been working on this one , and I actually consider it one of my best lineages. laugh.gif

But this was actually a positive thing for me, because I didn't realize how many awesome lines I have. Especially the 2nd gen metal fails with some really surprising combos that I will now be using to build checkers.

http://dragcave.net/lineage/NTLF0 an inbreed example of a pretty lineage biggrin.gif I actually really love those.

Meh. Seeing some of the other lineages here I don't feel that bad about my reds.

I'll still replace them, though. I might make an even gen purebred line wink.gif

My worst one is this. 306 instances of inbreeding, messy 25th gen lineage, and I love it. biggrin.gif

I don't like breeding them honestly, but I do for newbies who don't have any at all.

I pretty much follow the policy I quoted from somebody else, except I don't have any gold dragons. Breeding in general has not worked out very well for me. Here's one of my results:

http://dragcave.net/lineage/HXrjE

I was going off of the listed lineage as far back as the eleven generations shown goes, counting the number of dragons in those eleven. I've actually bred two dragons with this one. One was with a caveborn mint (I was hoping for a green striped but got a mint instead) and the other one was pink. I can't give you all links though because DC just crashed. -__-

I actually used to have an obsession over making the biggest lineage that wasn't in-bred, just for fun. I never checked for inbreeding before, though, nor have I done that extra research in the lineages of the 11th generations back, so who knows. My reindeer Christmas dragon could have the most messed up lineage. tongue.gif

When I first started at Dragon Cave I didn't understand about lineages. Since they didn't influence the outcome of the dragon it didn't make sense to me. So I ended up grabbing eggs from the ap and breeding them without a care in the world because I just liked the dragon itself. Now I do care, but I won't release the ones I already have. And if it's an egg that can hatch an alt I don't care as much about lineage. I just try not to breed messy ones anymore.

These are a few of my worst I think:

Some of my worst came as a result of 2 things:

1. I missed a Christmas release so I grabbed this without bothering with its lineage and

2. I was desperately in need of more BSA incubates and had this Red available and somewhat producing more than any other Reds.

I ended up with these four dragons that would make me cry if I accidentally bred them to any of my dragons.

Warming on Command, Warm Inbreeder, Will Warm for Food, and Got Eggs Will Warm

I can't decide if this is the worst or best lineage ever blink.gif Super-messy, but it has FOUR Thuweds and six alt holidays, plus the legendary Feliz Navidad Dragon! I also have this spectacularly inbred Tinsel, again with many Thuweds and spriter's alts but with 127 dragons that appear more than once in its lineage... If you check them, almost all messy lineages are inbred somewhere. Here are a few more super-messy dragons:

http://dragcave.net/lineage/3Qr7q Bred by me for several generations, unfortunately... My Blunas are kind of embarrassing xd.png

My worst is actually my Holly, who I only breed at Christmas time for folks who have no Holly. Look at her poor inbred lineage!

I still feel guilty for using a bunch of poor lineages for zombie fodder last Halloween (especially because I didn't get a single zombie out of the lot - the poor things died in vain!). It's my own fault that I feel this way about it, because I insist on naming every dragon, and then they wind up with a personality, and if I describe them, well, it's all over.

Some bad lineages, like this one, I could never kill or even release because of nostalgia or practicality - Lochly was among my first five dragons; this was my first Bluna; my bad Red girls are too useful to do away with. Like others here, when I first started, I didn't care at all about lineages and was just gathering up breeds; now I consider lineages an art form.

Basically, if I breed something that I'm going to kick to the AP, unless it's a metalfail, I try to make sure it doesn't have a super-messy lineage.

I will never breed half of my red army. Even if they are BSAs, I doubt it that someone would take them.

I wish more people would breed their messy/inbred reds - I almost never see reds in the AP, andI'd take them regardless of how their lineage was!

One of the messiest lineages I have is this black alt. She is also one of my few described dragons. I remember trying to catch her, the egg was grabbed and thrown back quite a few times before I was able to grab her. I won't breed her, but I will never release her either, she remains one of my favorite dragons.

I breed messy reds and pinks to the AP. I always hope they'll get picked by people who only want them for their BSA.

Inbreds, well, I don't collect a lot of them, but I did do this little project with a couple of eggs I picked up from the AP, it amused me greatly-> http://dragcave.net/lineage/gkh1u

Oooh, how awesome! I love non-even-gen planned-inbreedings that make neat patterns like that.

I could make a nice long list of the messy dragons I own...just look at all the NAI tagged dragons on my scroll if you want a picture of the problem. Got a bunch of reds, a bunch of waters...and this sweet little inbred (only inbred I know of on my scroll): one of my two Frills.

Okay so I saw this thread and decided I'd check the lineage of one of my dragons for inbreeding. I usually don't care about that stuff, but hey, how bad could it-

"98LNB has 221 dragons that appear in the lineage more than once."

I found this in the AP. I thought it is both pretty and horrifying at the same time. Considered keeping it to see if I could find one to breed it with, and thought I would see how inbred it was first.

http://dragcave.net/lineage/Kv0a4

Kv0a4 has 200 dragons that appear in the lineage more than once.

Some appear eight times!

Now it is frozen.

I don't breed any of my inbreds, I try not to create messy lineages, so but I will breed my messy Reds and Pinks, because I think people might want them.
