((Whoops, I thought the barrier was a dome encapsulating the entire arena. I'll assume "barrier" meant the wall last time and refer to it as a wall from now on))

Andromeda's eyes remained fixated on the group, until they began to look down at the ground. Confused, she looked down at the sand beneath her and felt it begin to shake. What are you up to Zygard... Her attention was drawn to one that was called...Hector? He was being dragged beneath the sand by what appeared to be worms. She stood up in fright, as though to rush over to help him, but it was too late. Hector was gone.

Then not just one, but two worms shot up from the ground next to Andromeda, clearly attracted by her movement. One latched onto her right arm, the other onto her left ankle. She let out a terrified scream, noticing that besides Hector, she seemed to be the only one to have been caught off guard. That is, all except Eli. As she is dragged to her knees, struggling against the pull of the worms down into the earth, she saw a set of two further trying to find a motionless Eli, lying on the ground. They came so close a number of times, but never seemed to be able to grab him. Only a matter of time...

Finally, she is pulled flat to the ground, and her struggling now only began to cover her with sand. Another scream came from her lips, only to be filled with the gritty substance. She sent a telepathic message in a bubble outwards, so anyone within range could hear: Stand back! Cover your eyes!

The last of Andromeda disappeared beneath the sand, and for a few moments, there was nothing. Suddenly a vertical beam of energy erupted from the ground, throwing sand and bits of worm in every direction. And then, out of the hole the beam created, a seemingly lifeless Andromeda carried by a much smaller energy falcon beneath her. Of course she was conscious, else her constructs would cease to be, but from the way the bird was flickering, it wasn't very much. Then the bird disappeared, and Andromeda landed on shaky feet near the stranded Eli. Loud enough for him to hear, she shouts, "Don't move!"

Twin bolts of energy flew from her hands, slowly melding into a pair of cobras. They hissed and each latched onto one of the worms attacking Eli, a flurry of blood and gore spilling from the now mangled tongues. When there was nothing above ground left to attack, she let her energies subside, and she collapsed to the ground. She sent one last telepathic message to Eli.

The worms are gone, you're safe. Go help the others. And then blackness greets her as she hits the sand.

Holly shrieked as the worms appeared. So far, none were attacking her yet. But that was uncertain. She saw the man in white and Andromeda disappear under the sand. They were as good as dead-oh wait, she was being carried out by one of those energy birds. Holly wished she could help her, but there was a bigger obligation she had to fulfill. Outside of the arena doors, the ginger had promised Lydia that she would protect her. While Holly certainly hadn't counted on these worm things-graboids- coming out of the ground, promises were promises.

Dodging a worm thing that had come way too close to her right leg for any sort of comfort, she wrapped her arms around Lydia's body as best she could. She then attempted to take to the air like the purple lady had done. Dang, couldn't I have had super strength too? Holly was not used to carrying someone while using her flight. They rose up in the air at a pace that was much too slow for her taste.

((*sighs* I swear, ninjas and no access to internets do not mix well... :| *cough*))

Evangelina had been sorely tempted to shadow travel up to the box upon entering the arena. However, she threw away any such ideas though, and she relished in the feeling of her abilities coming back. Black glows surrounded each members confirming the fact that her powers had come back. Everyone in the arena was surrounded by the glow, though some less than others. Even Zygard as he too was destined to die, but his was the faintest of everyone's. Up until now, she had been watching. Then Elli had gotten into the line of fire.

Adromeda had seemed to turn into a different person once she had received her powers back. Evangelina made a mental note of each person she saw use any type of ability. She found it odd however, the scarecrow's aura was different. It was like his soul was there, but the body he had was not truly his. Weird.

The ground rumbled and Eva "switched modes" as the one known as Hector was swallowed by the black glow. A few moments later, he died before everyone's eyes. A moment later, Eli was swallowed by the same glow. Eva whispered something under her breath and a moment later, a sword flung itself through the air and buried itself in the sand in front of her. Upon grabbing it, she was already running toward Eli when Andromeda took care of things. She went to the kid and rather roughly pulled the boy to his feet, though that was mostly for Zygard to see. "Run!" she said as away worm popped up from nowhere to their left.

"What are the rules to this censorkip.gif game," she grumbled, charging and slicing neatly through a worm. She then buried the sword in the creatures head and twisted the blade, her sword hissed in satisfaction and the stone at the head of the pommel turned from a duel swirling grey to a misty red. She gripped the silvery bands laid across the leather and yanked the sword away. Was she supposed to fight the others? She rarely ever did fight others, and even when she did she rarely let herself win unless it was life or death. Normally she played weak and inexperienced, it kept people from noticing her. Every shadows around her shimmered and moved unnaturally as her temper became riled. (Even if the others did notice, there was no indication she was to blame.) Blast this confounded vampire!

"What's going on..?" replied Jack as Alia questioned him. Jack had decided to continue this facade of 'the good guy' for now. This was not a situation which required each other to fight one another, therefore he had no need to reveal his abilities. He watched as Alia placed her ear close to the ground and was surprised that she could sense an approaching attack, "Does she have Enhanced hearing?" he thought to himself, he was unable to confirm his suspicions however as she quickly retreated backwards.

Jack looked down at the spot where she had previously placed her ear, the ground beginning to crack seconds before the graboid burst forth. Jack fell backwards landing on his rear, a feigned expression of shock etched across his face. Without any hint of him using an ability, he manipulated the gravity isolated to his body decreasing his mass and effectively making himself as light as a feather in case he needed a quick escape. Unless you were Jack himself, you would not have been aware that he had even used a power. This however was just a precaution.

He began to retreat backwards, his weightless frame generating little to no vibrations in the earth. The graboid that had inititally gone after him had frozen in confusion, before retreating into the earth in hunt of a stronger source of vibrations.

Wiping his brow Jack sighed a breath of relief, he himself was not sure why the worm had retreated but he was nonetheless grateful that it did. Looking back towards Alia, he gave a reassuring smile and a thumbs up.

Luc on the other hand was not fairing so well, isolated on this side of the arena two graboids had been drawn to the vibration in the earth he created from when he had landed and were burrowing just under the surface as he ran, his palms facing backwards sending out invisible shock waves of sound which propelled him forwards.

"How are they able to track..." His eyes widened as an idea formed. Thinking back on when he kneeled down earlier and sent vibrations of his own into the ground, the direction of the graboid changed. With a plan formed, he clenched his fist and opened his mouth releasing a stronger sound wave causing him to suddenly propel backwards. The sound wave crashed into the side of the arena wall sending vibrations into the ground beneath it. He turned to look at the base of the arena wall and smiled as he saw the two graboids exit the ground and crash squarely into the wall, causing them to pass out in a pile at the bottom.

"So that's how it is.." he smiled,

Alia gasped, hands going to her mouth. Jack was retreating slowly, making sure to not make much movement. The Graboid was confused. They did not seem to have eyes; perhaps they sensed sound or movement to capture their prey? She took to hovering just above the ground again, glancing about. Everyone else seemed to be doing alright. "I think they track us using sound or movement," she mused, frowning thoughtfully.

Andromeda may have dispatched the two tongues, but the main graboid bodies were both still around. As Andromeda fell to the ground Evangelina raced over and helped him to his feet, moments later she was slicing through the head of another tongue. Where had she got that sword from?

Covered in blood and lumps of flesh from the tongues that Andromeda had killed Eli turned to the girl in an attempt to aid her, not wanting to leave her on the ground helpless. Just as he crouched over her the ground exploded and the beaked head of a graboid burst into view.

It was huge. More than big enough to swallow a man whole. As Eli watched it dragged a fair portion of its upper body out of the ground and turned to face the three of them. It opened its beak and revealed the snake like tongues, two fully intact, but the third mostly destroyed from Andromeda's attack.

Eli stared up at it as the remaining two tongues sycthed through the air. While he had no doubt the Evangelina could easily slice off the tongues the main beast was a differt story. The sections of its beak were razor sharp and the hide looked thick and leathery. There was no way a sword could cut easily through that.

The other graboid slowly rose through the ground in front of Evangelina. It kept it's beak closed but twisted it's head this way and that. The creatures knew that there was prey before them, but it was harder to locate them with their heads above ground.

"I don't suppose you have a bigger weapon do you?" he whispered to Evangelina.

Vex was in his room and he was focused when he heard the sounds of the large doors. While trying to snap out of the trance that he was in, it took him around a couple of minutes. Coming out of his room after escaping the rest, he suddenly almost fell to the floor as a loud thunderclap came from the arena. He could soon hear fighting, too, and so he dashed at the doors, barely managing to roll inside before they were sealed shut by an unknown force. As he stood at his place and analyzed what happened around him, a huge worm came out of the ground in front of him and lunged at the young man, attempting to swallow him whole. Vex quickly crouched, conjuring a small ice blade and raising it, causing the worm's stomach to be cut open. That wouldn't exactly kill it, but it would be enough for him to buy some time. Dashing past the worm as it sunk back into the ground, Vex reached a couple of people. As he was a bit closer than normal, he heard how the boy, Eli, asked for a weapon. Rising his hand that was coated in ice, Vex then made the blade bigger until it looked like a small claymore, then formed it a stable handle and broke it off his skin. "Here," He said, passing the ice blade. "It may be from ice, but it's solid so you should be able to kill a couple of these things before it breaks."

"Sound or movement...hmm" pondered Jack as he heard Alia. He looked over at Andromeda who was lying on the ground unconscious and glared at her. If what Alia said was true, then those two thunderclaps she had made would have been the most likely cause for drawing all these worms to their location.

Jack looked back at Alia, "I guess I better stay still then.." he replied, forcing a smile to appear on his face. If Jack had wanted to, he could easily have forced the worms to be attracted to another part of the arena, however this was an opportune time for him to study the other captives abilities.

Andromeda slipped into unconsciousness easily, her reserves completely spent. As she hit the earth, her body made a loud thud, and another as she bounced slightly. Once again, two worms sprouted from the ground, looking very much like the situation Eli found himself in, with the tongues searching for the source of the thud. The only difference? Andromeda couldn't defend herself unconscious, which became apparent as one found her unmoving ankle, dragging it under the sand.

Evangelina grumbled as the creature advanced forward. At Eli's comment about her weapon, she glanced own at the angry looking blade of her broadsword. The sword was not exactly small or friendly looking. The stone in it's hilt turned dark black and the smoky like vapor swirled angrily as if in response to Eli's comment.

"He's served me for a very long time. He'll do but..." her voice trailed off as a boy ran up and handed Eli a spike made of ice.

"Indeed." she said softly, glancing around. Several of the members in the arena were not using their abilities it seemed. Eva pursed her lips, and that was when she noticed the tongue that had Andromeda.

"Watch each other backs!" she hissed, backing away from the others. She considered shadow traveling, but she'd save that little ability for a different show and tell. The woman dodged away and flicked her sword at the tongue that had a hold of the telepath. The thing let go of the girl but Eva was now in danger. The worm like things turned their attention to the daughter of Hades. The girl held her sword at the ready...

((Heads up about the sword: It's not really truly alive, I just responds to its owners emotions. Also, it is enchanted metal. xd.png

Sometimes it may seem to have a personality of its own though... I'll have to dig up a picture of it.

It's just enchanted to answer when she calls, it's made of several metals mixed together so it's hard to damaged, and I don't suggest trying to take it from Eva without her permission...))

Kanya sat on the ground blinking at the tongues of the worms popping out everywhere. She was stunned with fear until she saw Andromeda falling to the ground. No she thought to herself and quickly set another barrier around the woman. Luckily barriers were easy for her to create and took little strength, she only hoped that no one would go and help her otherwise they might run into it themselves. She looked around and wondered who else might need a barrier for protection.

Luc landed against the other side of the arena wall, the propulsion from his last sonic scream sending his body backwards through the air. As he made contact with the wall he focused on an isolated part of the ground, with his knowledge on what was attracting the worms he had formed a strategy. Controlling the muscles in his lips he sent out several spiral ringed sound waves, similar to those rings a smoker blows but invisible to the naked eye. These rings grew in size the further away from Luc they were before making contact into the ground, sending a series of vibrations to course through the earth. Within seconds a Graboid burst through the earth, its worm like body dancing in the air in a fashion reminiscent to that of a snake charmer's snake.

"Gotcha!" smiled Luc, who was experiencing the same thrill he got when on a killing spree in his online pvp games. With his palms flat against the wall, he emitted concentrated sound waves propelling his body from the wall into the direction of the graboid, unlike before where he used a similar technique to dash through the air, this was stronger. In an instant his body disappeared from the wall, suddenly appearing at the base of the graboid, he had momentarily broken the sound barrier in the process creating a sonic boom. The shock wave generated from the sonic boom temporarily stunned the graboid, its three snake like tongues writhing in the air.

Luc held out both hands at arms width, and smiled. "Boom" he whispered, In quick movement, he brought both hands together in a large clap, the sound waves emiting from both open palms clashing with one another generating a shockwave, in turn causing the mid section of the graboid to burst under the pressure of the resulting wave. With its mid section destroyed, the remainder of the graboid fell to the earth, its body lifeless.

Unbeknownst to Luc, the adrenaline he was experiencing was causing his passive ability to activate, an aura of sound wave was being produced from his body every minute sending vibration signals to the remaining graboids. He stood there panting, for once, he could go all out with his abilities.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As a result of the shockwave produced Luc's sonic boom, Jacks weightless body was sent flying backwards through the air. He landed with a plop a few yards away from the others, his hat even further away.
Alia flinched, hands going to her ears to cover them as a loud clap sounded. It wasn't loud enough to render her ears useless, but it hurt nonetheless. She noticed Jack flying through the air - what? That was probably going to attract the Graboids. She flew to him and landed lightly, giving his shoulder a yank upward. "Get up!" she hissed desperately. Already the sounds of tunnelling was clear to her ears. Wait - why was he so light?
Eli took the weapon and nodded gratefully at the presenter. It was very cold, understandable as it was forged of ice, and stuck to his hands, but at least the blade was sharp.
As Evangelina freed Andromeda from the tongue that was trying to drag her away Eli used his new weapon to slash out at the graboid in front of him. He had never handled a sword before, or any kind of weapon, so his thrust was clumsy and heavy handed, but it struck the creature on the beak. It left a slight graze, but no other damage. It did manage to get the beasts attention though.
He ducked as the tongues lashed out at him and by sheer coincidence the graboid by Evangelina moved to attack her. The tongues of both graboids collided in mid air and there was an obvious moment of confusion between the two. Eli looked at them for a moment before taking the blade of ice in both hands and thrusting it deep into the convulsing mass of worms. Both sets of tongues made a grab for the blade and as Eli had hoped, stuck to it. That would buy them a few minutes.
Siren took that moment to float down towards the group.
"Give her to me" she told Eli, pointing to Andromeda. "I can't carry you all, but I can take her."
Eli nodded and dodged the wrestling graboids to grab the unconscious girl under the arms and pull her out of harms way. Siren picked her up and floated up several feet, well out of the reach of the graboids. Behind them the ice blade began to crack as it was slowly pulled apart.
Jack mumbled some gibberish, his eyes spinning and his 'brain' still bouncing off the walls in his head. He was not prepared for the shockwave and therefore was not braced for the impact.
On his feet thanks to Alia, all he could do was walk around in a dazed manner, not so different to that of a drunkard. "just.. just give me a sec.." he muttered, as he clumsily walked over to where his hat was.
Alia went back to hovering, making sure she was out of the way where she had heard the Graboids coming. Her dark green eyes carefully watched Jack, quite ready to shove him in some direction if he got in the line of fire; in his current state, he was acting as if drunk. There was something nice about him that she liked. She didn't want to see him being pulled under.
Evangelina grimaced as a loud noise split through the air and she covered her ears for as instant, but that one second allowed one of the tongues to advance. Evangelina quickly moved away from Andromeda so she could get its full attention. With that, it flung itself toward her. Eva's pupils turned into enter all fires as she dodged off to the side. In one swift movement, the woman's sword sliced neatly into the flesh of the thing. The head of the tongue fell to the ground and the thing retreated.
As Eli and Siten made there way over, the demigod used the chance to cut through another tongue that was snaking its way toward Andromeda. Evangelina's gaze flickered up toward the box and she silently cursed the occupants before raising her sword back up in preparation for the advancing second tongue. What she didn't see was one emerge in back of her. As the second tongue met a rather quick "end," the third one snaked toward her.
As Vex gave Eli the blade of ice, he then watched the surroundings. He suddenly dodged aside as a worm tongue barely missed him and immediately formed another blade of ice on his hand. Before the tongue was able to return, Vex had thrown the ice blade deep into the mouth of the worm and cut off the base of it's long tongue. That way, it's senses would be dulled. Turning to see how Eli used his blade to stop two tongues, Vex focused and shut his eyes. Suddenly, the ice started to spread from the blade and over the tongues of the beasts, which panicked and stopped the process halfway by directly ripping the other remaining part off. At least that way they could use the other part of their tongue. Because of nothing remaining for the blade or the icy tongue to be use of, Vex dispelled his magic on them and the two long tongue pieces dropped on the ground, lifeless. Vex then could see how a third tongue was behind Evangelina, attemting to subdue her. Rising his hand, the tongue stopped as small vibrations rumbled under it. Suddenly, a blade of ice rose from the ground, cutting the large tongue in half and then dropped toward the remainder, causing it to sink as to not risk being destroyed by itself. Dispelling the ice, Vex then coughed a small amount of blood - using his ablities was starting to bring him close to the point of full exhaustion.
Eli shielded his face with his arm as the ice blade, which had been growing along the length of the tongues entwining the graboids, shattered when the two creatures pulled apart from each other. Lowering his arm he watched as the boy who had handed him the blade of ice do his best to dispatch the remaining tongues, causing the graboids to sink back below the surface, their main weapons lost.
Not daring to move his feet lest he attract the attentions of the still intact monsters in the arena Eli looked around. The boy of ice spat out some blood and Eli guessed that use of his powers was costing him dearly.
Eli felt useless. He had nothing to work with here, at least that he would dare to try and use. Even the dismembered tongues were too weak and tattered to work with.
However there was no time to think of a counter attack just yet. Even though they had managed to destroyed the tongues of the graboids attacking their small group, the creatures were not out of the fight yet. Eli could feel the ground vibrating as they dug around underneath them.
Moments later as the ground began to shift he had his answer. They were going to dig the earth out from under them, making it too weak to support their weight. If they were trapped underground then the graboids wouldn't need their tongues to ensare them.
"RUN!" he shouted to the others, knowing that due to their strength and speed the graboids could have the ground in an almost quicksand like state in seconds.
Andromeda groaned as she began to stir. She was highly confused, what had happened? As her eyes began to focus and mind clears, she could feel something under her. It took a moment for her to recognize Siren carrying her above the ground.
"Siren I...where...Eli, Evangelina...Holly? Lydia? Where are they? Are they all okay?" Andromeda began to shift around atop Siren's shoulders, looking for them. Suddenly she spotted the small boy, shouting and running as the ground began to give.
"Eli! Hold on!" She may be too weak to move, but that didn't mean she couldn't be useful. Her eyes blazed hot once again, and with a spark and a jolt, lightning once again flew from her hands into the air. With a moderately volumed crash of thunder, a pterodactyl formed in the air above Eli. Very carefully, the energysaur picked Eli up off the disintegrating ground. Eli was safe, but where was Evangelina?
She looked frantically some more until she found her. Another flash and thunderclap later, Evangelina was also airborne from her own pterodactyl. Andromeda's eyes were torrents of energy. Thanks to Siren, she didn't need to spend her energy on movement, just on sustaining constructs. She brought her hands together and the pterodactyls flew side by side alongside Siren and Andromeda.
She reached out with her mind to the pair. Thank goodness I woke up when I did, otherwise I couldn't have flown you from what was once this solid ground. The worms were making a mess of the floor. I'm glad I'm not totally useless.
The ground beneath Jack gave way just as he managed to grab his hat, causing him to roll down the now slanted piece of earth till he reached the bottom of the sinkhole the graboids had created. His light frame caused little vibrations in the earth as he plummeted, temporarily drawing the attention of the graboids. As several Graboids zoned in on Jack all he could do was remain still and feign death, hopefully they would ignore him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Luc ran towards the wall as the earth he was on began to 'implode' on itself due to the lack of support beneath. Making it to the wall, he was fortunate enough to find sturdy earth. A ring of earth a meter out from the wall had managed to maintain its structure. Luc turned to see if the others had managed to escape, a few were in the air whilst a couple had not been so lucky. He could barely make out Jacks frame at the bottom of the sinkhole, his body lying motionless.

"God damn Scarecrow!" he cursed under his breath. "Everyone!, COVER YOUR EARS!" he shouted, mainly to those whose hearing were on a far superior level to that of a normal person, he felt sorry for what he was about to put them through, but it was the only way he could distract the graboids from this distance.

Inhaling deeply, Luc prepared himself for a large scream. As he released it, faint red rings increasing in size could be seen as they crashed against a part of the wall far from any 'humans'. The vibration from the impact could be felt from where Luc stood. The graboids that were closing in on Jack and the others soon did a 360 and headed towards the epicenter of the large vibrations.

Luc fell to one knee, his left hand pressed against the wall in support. His chest heaving as he breathed heavily. His vision was slightly blurred from the energy overuse.

Holly willed herself to fly just a bit higher, just a few more inches. Both Lydia and her own self were at a deadly risk of being caught by stray graboids. At least they hadn't found two edible humans slowly floating up into the air yet. Normally, she could take to the air in an instant. But of course, normally she wasn't carrying another human being that was squirming around. "Relax, it's me. Holly." This was bad. If she was carrying a scared person with powers and two of her senses taken out, who knew what Lydia might do. Explode? Holly doubted her regeneration would help her if the blind girl did that.

And wait-what the hell? Why was everything all black all of a sudden? Surprised and confused, Holly's grip on her hairbrush and Lydia slackened. She could feel them dropping out of her reach towards the ground. "What the censorkip.gif just happened?! Oh my god!" Frantically, she willed herself to go lower and try catch the other girl.
