ANSWERED:Sorting By Rarity

Now, I'd don't know about you (that would be creepy), but I like to have my Rares and Holiday dragons on the top where I and other people can see them easily. So, my idea was to have a sorting option where the dragons are grouped by their rarity within the biomes and by breed within rarity. Like: Rare, Holiday, Uncommon, Common and within Common you have Splits, Albinos, etc... Or you could have the Commons at the top and the Rares at the bottom by reversing the sorting. Or perhaps even choose in which order the rarities are shown.

 

So is this possible/ a good idea?

The rarity is determined by the userbase, so it would be rather difficult to make a sort order based on this, TJ would have to constantly update it.

the only way this would work is if holidays where considered the rares. since you can only get them at certian times durring the year. due to how users control what's rare and what's not other wise.

This is my main concern with it. The only true 'rares' are Golds, Silvers, Tinsels, and Shimmerscales. Everything else is determined largely by the userbase, and thus would need constant updating.

 

If you want your rares at the top, simply sort them there.

The rarity of dragons changes way too much to deem some of them as common or uncommon. Holidays and things such gold would keep their rarity status, but things like CB commons rarity fluctuates too much. One time Balloons are really hard to find, and then are times when you don't find another common dragon.

 

Not to mention, if such sorting would come... if I were to sort by rarity, I would never know where to find my dragons in my own scroll.

That's exactly how it's done--by 'so and so' saying something is uncommon, rather then by anything being 'set' as uncommon. For example--Blacks used to be wicked common, but then people got really fond of them and now CB Blacks are quite rare.

This suggestion cannot be implemented because there is no public "rarity" attribute of dragons.
