The Dragon Experiment- REVIVAL

Recommended Posts

PLOT

Dragons lived peacefully away from humans for many years. Eventually, a few brave ones decided to befriend humans. Some would create clans with the humans. Others would travel with them- just as a companion. A very few would let the humans keep them as pets. Most, however, came to the conclusion that humans were dangerous, and stayed away.

Long ago, these dragons questioned the will of humans. Were they really what they said they were? Why did they want to be friends with dragons- after so many years of turning away? These fears plagued the majority of dragons. Recently, the gradual calm sense of security with humans began to die. Why?

Several scientists managed to befriend quite a few dragons. They pretended to be friends, helped them raise a family, etc. Just now, they've gained enough trust to lock them away, betraying the dragons. They've created a society, the Study And Experimentation of Dragons, or the SAEOD (pronounced say-ohd) to help capture more dragons and bring them back to labs. They wish to test dragons, to see what effects them, what can kill them, what is immune to them, etc. They also wish to see if they can take away the powers of dragons- and possibly give them to humans. They're beyond domesticating now; now they want more.

Many clans fear these scientists, and mother dragons more than anything. After all, the scientists are only taking the young, not the adults. Parents have died trying to save their eggs. Families have turned on another. Is any dragon safe in this new world?

Your goal as a hatchling is to find a way so they don't take away your powers or domesticate you. But in the meantime, you try not to annoy the scientists (which will get you killed/brainwashed).

TESTING FACILITY

MAP

Blue Stars: Video cameras. On 24/7. A computer software program is connected to the Ipad- like electronics each scientist carries around. There is no real 'control room'.

Red Circle: The only entrance and exit.

Electric Fence: Also on 24/7. Has enough power to kill an adult dragon, but rarely is ever on full power. For the main part, it's on mediocre power, which will knock out a hatchling and wound an adult dragon.

Dragon Keep: The dragon keep is a very large room. All hatchlings live here, almost all the time. Only for tests and walks are they allowed out. It looks like this, basically: KEEP

It's a wide, grassy area with small trees, flora, and a pond. It's built to look like the outside. All powers are disabled.

Labs: These are the main testing grounds. Powers are enabled if the scientist choose to enable them, however, the scientists wear bands that make them immune while in the room. No windows in the labs, or in any room, really.

Cages: Eggs are kept in these incubated cages until they hatch, as well as new hatchlings.

CAPTURE PROCEDURE (for future reference)

- Special SAEOD scouts track hatchlings/eggs/clans for many weeks (2-4 months)

- They steal the youngling(s) (tranquilers used if necessary) away from clans.

- Carry them back to SAEOD Testing Facility

- Lock them in cage until they awake

- Force them to behave

- Once 'house broken' (or at least semi-civil), they are moved to the Dragon Keep.

- Once every three/four weeks, the scientists test the dragons.

Q&A

What happens to the dragons once they become adults?

- Well first, it almost never happens. The food the hatchlings are fed have a key ingredient that slows their growth down by 50%. So instead of being full-grown at say, 50 years, they'll be full-grown at 100 years.

What are the age standards?

- Just Hatched: 2 days (If in wild, then 1 year)

- 1st Stage Hatchling: 3 days (captive) - 50 years

- 2nd Stage Hatchling: 51 years - 100 years

- Adult: 100 + years

Can there be mates?

- Considering that the dragons don't necessarily grow up, I'd say no.

What is the punishment for misbehaving?

- The hatchling gets locked in a cage for a few days.

RULES

- No godmodding (taking over another's player)

- No being 'all powerful'

- No Mary Sues/ Gary Sues

- At max, 5 characters (debatable)

- No harming/killing/maiming another dragon w/out the consent of another

- No cursing (PLEASE)

PLEASE NO GOLDS, SILVERS, ALTS, TINSELS, or HOLIDAY DRAGONS.
