((I assume its the same room we were briefed in.... but okies timeskip sounds good - sorry if it looks like I'm GMing other peoples charries here.... but at least its a good? transition post))

Crescent took a small detour to pick up Frost, Mel and her recruit, then she floored it back to base, much to the objections of her brother and any other squeamish passengers. She beat her own ETA by 2mins, and startled the gate guard in the process.

[lol Gate Guard didn't see Crescent as a speedster tongue.gif]

Raven was asleep in the rafters, having chloroformed both recruits and locked them in a room where she was reasonably certain that they would be found. She woke and fell only when Frost blared that there was going to be a debriefing. She laid facedown on the floor for a while before she replied that she would get there when quote, 'her face healed'. After a minute of this, she stood and brushed herself off. She then headed for the meeting room, where she sat in a chair, curled up in it like a cat, and fell asleep cuddling a dagger.

Mel had made a quick run into Med bay for her wrist. They really didn't do too much to it. They said it would need stitches but it would have to wait. They put some anti-bacterial spray on it and bandaged it up. They told her she would be bleeding a lot, but should stop after a while. Then they sent her on her way. Mel was actually quite relived by the delay of the stitches, it gave her a feeling of it wasn't too bad.

She ran to the room the briefing would be in. She looked at the people already in the room. Some had a few injuries. She flicked her good wrist a few times, and healed what she could. Then she sat at the back wall again to wait for the meeting.

Moka sighed, hearing Frost babble on about a debriefing. "God, just shut up. We got it." She patted Tskune on the head. "Let's go to the meeting. And yes, this means you too Celeste." She walked into the meeting room, Raven fast asleep in one of the chairs. She put her finger to her lips and motioned to Celeste. Then she jumped onto her little ledge once again. Tskune tried to jump up, but failed. He looked at Moka with sad eyes, then let off a whine.

Crescent led the batch of recruits that were in the transports last run to the debriefing area.

She was pretty certain that her speed stunt would get her told off.... as if her brother wasn't doing a good job of that.

After the group had returned to the HQ Cody was promptly dropped off to the medical bay since he had lost a good deal of blood in the fight. The slash on his ankle had been the worst of his injuries but his arm had also required stitches much to his discomfort. He had always hated needles as a child but he had gotten use to them over the years after the many wounds from simulation battles with his sister.

Once the doctors had patched Cody up they directed him towards the debriefing room where the others were. As he had spent a good deal of time in the Med bay he was seriously late to the meeting much to the person giving its disgust. Cody really didn't care what they thought since he had been forced here and took an open seat at the table before pulling out a knife and spinning it around his finger for entertainment.

"Trying to act cool, huh, recruit?" Moka smirked from up in the shadows. The boy was spinning a knife around on his finger. She leaned into the light for a moment, turquoise blue hair shining in the lighting. "Funny." She positioned herself so she could watch Tskune and this show off.

Seraphim entered the room, knocking the light out in her usual corner. She walked past Moka who was picking on the new recruit. She gave the blue haired girl a whack on the head as she passed, "Leave the kid be, Necro. It's not like you don't try to act cool, to no avail." She said, secretly smiling behind her hair that concealed her face. She never did like that girl anyway. She leaned against the wall in her corner, back to being bored.

"It's more out of habit then a statement" Cody replied leaning his head back to find the source of the remark.

The girl was leaning out into the light from where she was perched, her turquoise colored hair draped out a little over her partly lit up face. Though before the girl could replied another he assumed operative walked past giving her a good whack to the head for her comment. He waited for the first girl to look back at him giving her a smirk before leaning his head back to continue spinning his knife. He really wished to be in the dark like the two girls since he never much liked the light especially the ones blaring down on him now but there wasn't much he could do.

Arthur stopped his sister just before she entered the briefing room - letting the others in the group go first, just so he could have one more go at her for her speeding back to base.

Igraine just looked over at him, trying not to let him get on her nerves - though that was an inevitability. In a pause during his rant, Crescent took the opportunity to make a wise crack of her own.

"Perhaps next time, I'll let the wounded bleed all over you." She glanced down, "Oh too late - there's blood on your trainers." Back up. "..And on your top too. I really can't take you anywhere without you ending up in a mess...."

The funniest thing was it was true, Arthur could never stay neat and tidy for long as a kid - and there were stains - most likely from Mel and her recruit.

Their voices could be clearly heard from inside the room, if altering in volume as the door opened and closed.

Alexander walked into the room. His glasses where crooked on his face. He walked over to Mel. "Am I late?"

Mel looked up, glad to see that he had found his way here. "I don't think so. The meeting hasn't really started. We are still waiting for everyone to get here."

He sighed with relief, and landed against the wall, trying to look 'cool and calm,' but it was over obvious that he wasn't too social and didn't like too many people in the same room.

"Calm down Alexander you’re going to pass out. Breathe."

Alexander tried to relax but couldn't. "There are too many people here. I'm going to just hang out at the back of the room."

"This is the back." Mel sighed face-palming.

Belladona checked her watch. "Welp, looks like it's debriefing time," she said to her two, very freaked out recruits. She led to the room and said, "Now try not to get on anyone's bad side."

Moka grinned, this kid had an attitude like hers. "Well, I hope you don't mind clean up duty. I'm Necromancer. Who are you?" She adjusted her ponytail, one was slightly higher than the other, and it started to annoy her. Tskune looked up, panting. Celeste was sitting in Moka's usual seat, acting like she owned the place. She was glad she took her scythe, any of these recruits could've tried it out. And then they would get a knife in the back. Or at least locked in the closet.

"Cody for now until I'm given a new name or number by the government" Cody said leaning his head back to reply to the girl Necromancer. "And I wouldn't mind cleaning up for you since you're such a nice, pretty girl."

He gave Necro a smile after the last sentence which dripped with sarcasm. Countinuing to lean back he started spinning his knife again waiting for the girl to reply since she was far more enjoyable then what the person giving the debriefing had to say.

Mia had been completely spaced out until Deathnote smacked the back of her head. She was a little ticked off, but figured it was all in good sense, since a meeting was starting. She made her way to the meeting room and took a seat away from the rest and pulled her headphones over her ears. While it didn't completely mute people, it dulled the sound a bit and have way so she could clearly hear the music she always had turned on.

Frank scampered down the hallway, munching on a granola bar. Why was he always so late?

Nick was currently back at his room, having finished gathering all the files of the mission in his own possession and then having passed them to the boss. He wasn't able to attend the debriefing since he had to go to the infirmary - after each and every use of his ice abilities, his skin would freeze at spots and open gashes. Then, the energy used on itself created a few wounds, mostly external though since he rarely used a lot of his energy. Even then, though, he was kind of dizzy as he changed his clothes and shoved them into the small chute for cleaning and changed into a simple black tee and jenas, along with black socks and sneakers. He walked out of his room and soon reached the infirmary, entering it. There, he sat down and closed his eyes, letting the female doctor do her job and waiting for the end of the healing power.

Mercury sighed as she leaned against the wall. When would whoever it was that was gonna debreif them show up? They'd been waiting for ten minutes now.

Moka scoffed at the boy's reply. Her? Pretty? Yeah, right. "Well, I think Frost isn't here. Faked us out, huh?" She sighed and rolled her head back, resting it on the wall behind her. She swung her feet aimlessly under her, and then she decided she was going to eat. She grabbed some candy out of her little knapsack and ate it.

((Guess the boss is going to show up - but until then....))

Igraine and Arthur stood around with the others waiting for the debriefing. It was assumed that either Frost or the 'boss' would do the debrief. Neither of those two had showed up.

Igraine chewed her lip before deciding that the punishment for taking the boss's spot was lesser than letting the debriefing be too delayed.

She moved from her position on the wall by the door and moved to the front.

Time to adlib it.... Igraine thought - slightly relieved to see that the admin staff had already set up the slideshow that was part of the introduction briefing.

Igraine didn't bother with introducing herself as she was almost certain the boss would walk in just as she started otherwise.

She ran her eyes over the gathered group, before starting the usual spiel - those already part of the team would recognize it from their own 'new recruit moment'.

"You have been recruited into this Project due to a problem that faces this world. As the news has probably made you aware, there is an unidentified spacecraft approaching - with the normal communication methods being either ignored or ineffective." She paused briefly, "At least that was the original thought - the spacecraft had received our signals and replied. It took our best linguists to translate the reply."

"The reason the reply hasn't been broadcast or made known is to prevent panic. The beings on board that approaching craft are hostile to all races that aren't their own - the message was a warning as well as a declaration of war. That spacecraft is an advance scout for the main force - designed to test the defense strength as well as to find weakness."

"After that transmission our outer relay stations fell silent - the last recording being one of a high energy point discharge."

Mel looked to the front. "Do we know when they are going to attack? Or how more or less advanced they are then us?"

Mel reached into her pocket and handed Alexander a piece of candy, he was pale, well, paler then usual. She took a small tootsie pop out of her pocket and started to eat it.

Crescent answered Mel's question.

"We don't know for sure, but we have a pretty good estimate on those. Taking into account the speed it was registered as travelling at the scout will be here in 2 weeks. The rest of the force isn't going to be that far behind - but without our outer stations we won't detect them til they reach orbit."

"As for the relative tech level, the only thing we can base that on is the energy discharge that took out the stations. Making the reasonable assumption that it was a weapon firing to stop later detection of the main force - They are at least 3 steps above us on the Galactic Scale System."

[Galactic Scale is a made up system that puts our Earth at Tech 10... considering the world here has dimensional travel as well as deep space sensors.... I'd say this world was at 14/15 - meaning invaders are at about 18...

This was used as a guideline.]

((Way to make it all of a sudden complicated. . . ))

Moka glared down at the girl, and moved forward in her seat. "Who put you in charge?" She flicked her hair out of her face and stuck a lollipop in her mouth.

((Well the impending invasion/attack is the basis of the whole 'go kill your otherselves for power' basis of the plot. I just made that fact known..... which may/may not be the best plan. Of course chic can still overrule the scale system, values + timescale I used))

Considering Igraine was standing at the front it was hard for a seated person to 'glare down' as such, but since it was Necromancer - it did seem to occur, though reduced effect.

Crescent looked around the room,

"I don't see any personnel of higher rank around... so no-one did. But someone has to do the briefing." She met Necromancer's gaze, "Are you volunteering?"

[Now would be a good time for chic to post the boss entering.... just to stop any verbal sparring between Crescent and Necro - interesting as it may get]

The girl seemed to object his comment about her before leaning back and eating something. Cody continued to stare spinning his knife until a new girl spoke up at the front of the table. Her voice drew a bit of authority and seriousness so he leaned up again to listen to what she had to say. Besides Necromancer seemed to be occupied elsewhere.

"A fleet hu?" Cody thought.

His sister tried to communicate with him even after she had been recruited though she didn't say a lot before she stopped all together. So this was surprising news to him and two weeks didn't seem like much time.

"Just shut it girly" he called to Necromancer, then on a more serious note turned in his chair to face the girl giving the speech. "So we're screwed and you brought us here for an end of the world party, or do we have some sort of plan?"

Spinning his knife around he locked eyes with the girl.
