Posted January 19, 2013 (edited) I'm really thinking of applying for RP. Not sure if I should. I think you should go for it Gist considering that you are already an RP approver (isn't need to become an RP mod, but certainly helps) and generally the least amount of people apply to become an RP mod (basing this off past experience from being around when the last two moderators applications opened and what people said). As long as you can dedicate enough time and present a good application of course. Not sure whether to go for moderator myself, although if I do I would probably go for General Discussion. Edit: Ninja'd by Gist herself, good luck. You would be a good RP mod. Also, good luck to everyone else applying <3 Cannot wait to see who the new mods are. Posted January 21, 2013 Should i apply for something? If you want to and have the time to be a moderator. It's a tough job and requires a lot of thick skin. Also requires a lot of diplomacy and being able to stay neutral. Not taking "he said, she said" as proof. Being able to look at both sides. So yeah, tough job, but can be rewarding in many ways, too. I would suggest you only apply for what you sincerely believe that you can do. Aka, don't apply for EVERY single job - that'd be overwhelming if you became a mod of everything including irc. So take some time, consider what you can do, what you feel qualified to do, etc. One of the most important things of being a moderator is communication skills. Hope I've given you something to think about. And that goes for every other potential applicant (including myself). Share this post Link to post
